Jim Bakker and Tammy Faye sat down in May 1988 with Fox Network's The Late Show with Ross Shafer nearly a year after their Nightline interview with Ted Koppel.
This interview originally aired in five parts. Jim and Tammy seemed to have enjoyed the attention.
The segments were taped at the home the Bakkers purchased two months earlier in the Desert Falls Country Club in Palm Desert.
Jim's sister Donna is seen helping answer fan mail in the dining room.
The Bakkers discuss their love of the desert and Palm Springs mayor Sonny Bono and their hopes of returning to television ministry.
They detail their hopes for the future and what life is like for them in the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area.

@@JimandTammyThePTLChronicles She treated people with kindness , but on the other end Jan Crouch was an evil, acting mean behind the scenes to guest and to people who work or had worked with Jan. But, once the camera was on her she acted as if she never sinned in her life and turned on the water works. I care about Tammy, never really cared for Jan Crouch. God Bless - Jason.

Wonder what she was gonna say when he started the bit about the make up “can you” and she never got to finish the sentence bless her same when talking about that nasty person who yelled T her when she said “well I did something Ive never done bef..” but this was a great interview of them and Jim was right the interviewer genuinely seemed to care about them as people
When Jim was sent down and after Tammy appearance on the steps did she appear in any interviews or shows or anything after that moment? Or was it quiet from that steps monent until her year 2000 documentary came out
Jessica chastain said in an interview once that when doing the 10 year research the makers of the documentary let her watch “hours and hours of unused and unseen footage” I would love to see all those & wonder what all the unused footage was

@@lisajoyce6803 A Lifetime Partnership was one thousand dollars. Why was she buying a time share vacation if her finances were so bad? Being a PTL partner was only 15.00 per month. How was she planning to pay to get to Heritage USA each year? It sounds like plane tickets would have been too expensive. You can't blame the Bakkers for grandma buying a time share she couldn't afford.
