I love that balance of a field of texture which can also be recognized as a grove of pine trees. I really love working with maps and macro textures like lichen or tree bark for this reason, there's familiarity within the visual info yet it borders between somewhere between abstract and still life.
Beautiful work! Really stands out by comparison to most other stuff out there... Perhaps I'm just partial to subject matter, but I think you've got the process down and great aesthetic intuition. I studies printmaking in college but have been working with encaustics last few years, which has a wonderful balance of process and improv.
Thank you for showing us your process of experimentation and leaving in some of those learning moments where things didn't go according to plan. I'm really intrigued by the composition of the three blocks together, I haven't seen that technique before.
Great idea ! Beautiful!
Beautiful prints, perfect ink colour.,
Definitely want to try this! Fascinating to watch. Thanks!
Lovely work! Thank you for sharing your experiments!
