It was a grind man and I was kinda shocked when I caught the first fish, cause he hit right at the boat. It feels good to know that I'm growing and I so appreciate you following the journey. Got your limit, that's a win. I love chatterbaits. They are very versatile & also work well in off color water because of the vibration. I cast them & troll with them for rockfish. Persistence paid off

You know, I remember watching your video from Shelby when you caught that big bass on the chatterbait and you made a comment that you don't think you would have landed him had you not been using braid. After that....I switched all of my reels to braid with the exception of my top water rig, I use mono for that. I tell you that to say I'm learning from you and I appreciate it! I see as I'm typing these replies that you have just posted a video too....gonna go check that out. Thanks again my friend!

@johnnybrown7542 Thank you very much. You know, on that first fish I thought I just got lucky, he hit right at the boat. But when I caught the 2nd one, I knew that I was on to something and I took note of where and how I caught him. I really think if the wind had not been so bad, that I could have caught a couple more. You and I will go again soon once I get back from our camping trip. That perfume has the scent of money and just like money, it doesn't last long 😂

I would turn to the other side of the boat and just cast out into "nothing" and see what happens.
