    I absolutely love your videos! I'm currently a CNA and in school for respiratory therapy. I've always known that I wanted to work around critical care so the ICU is definitely the perfect place to work in for that experience. I am thinking about going to PA school after I work as an RT for a little and becoming a PA in pulmonology or Critical care. Watching this video gave me some good ideas to look and prepare for when I become an RT or PA. Look forward to watching more of your inspiring videos! You are AMAZING!!!

    After watching a few of your rotation videos, I saw that you mentioned a specialty in OB/GYN as a PA. I found that to be very interesting because I had no idea that a PA could work in that field. So, I was hoping you would know if you could be a PA in Endocrinology? If so, did you ever have the chance to practice in that field during your clinical rotations? I have never seen an in depth video over endocrinology from a PA’s perspective. I was hoping you could shed some light on this question for me.

    My inpatient is going to be apparently pediatric ICU. Which would be good for me even though they said it’s mostly shadowing because before PA school I worked as a pediatric MA so i saw the outpatient for 2.5 years

    Hi Adanna, currently a RRT working T1 and T2 hospitals. I understand PAs commonly work in Trauma ICU. Are you guys able to work in MedSurg/Caridac,Neuro ICU? Great video btw! Thank you!

    What level is the trauma center where you are rotating at? I’ve heard at trauma level two locations PAs can do more procedures versus trauma level one locations are mainly medical residents doing procedures. Have you found this to be the case or?
    Thank you for being super informative on your clinical rotations. I appreciate it so much because shadowing can be difficult to obtain in certain settings.

    What if you do not like all that excitement or rush, what’s a more chill calm field for a PA?

    • @erinashley9465
      @erinashley9465 5 лет назад

      Really any area of medicine that is more calm would be a good fit. Physiatry, family medicine, pathology, dermatology, etc would be worth looking into. You could even look into areas like orthopedic surgery or urology depending on what you consider to be a lot of excitement. I hope that helps some. :)

    I know you didn't talk about this too much, but you talked about a lot of procedures that would go along with this. Are physician assistants allowed to put in a chest tube and take one out? You also talked about intubation. Do Physician assistants do that? Currently a rt as well!! 😁

    • @AdannaThePA
      @AdannaThePA  5 лет назад +2

      I'm so as far as chest tube placement and removal yes PA you are allowed to put in chest tubes and remove them especially if you are in the trauma service. As far as intubation goes again that is something dependent on the hospital so I have known peace to do Integrations in the Ed however in the ICU the PA said not to the intubations the anesthesiologist did those
