Good job showing viewers there can be a value option in upgraded shafts. My current driver is a Paradym X with VistaPro 55R set to 10.5 N. I was fit by a great fitter in a shop with seemingly limitless shaft inventory. Of all the higher priced models, or stock upgrade models, the Vista Pro gave the most consistent results. It’s the most confident driver I’ve ever played, hit 57% fairways last season and the missed fairways were most commonly from choosing an incorrect starting line and the majority of the time less than 3 yards off the fairway. I will be due for a shaft refit in the spring as SS has increased by 10-12 MPH (still down a good bit from 20 years ago). The increase speed has me missing left a bit more than a like from a closed club face due to not timing the kick of the shaft with the increased speed. The fitter did a great job explaining that the shaft would suit me well to a certain SS and honestly neither of us anticipated how much lessons and physical therapy would improve my mechanics. Long post sorry, good job I enjoy your detailed fitting session posting.
Interesting. Opposite bend profile to what I have been fitted for over the years. Diamana Blue, Evenflow, Currently Tensai Orange. All Firm butt section, softer middle and firm / stable tip section. Tensai seems to have a feeling of more weight under the grip.
great review, and thorough explanation of what this is, and, if I read you right (from the first 4 minutes), these are budget options for the 'top' end of the bag, do they make iron, wedge and putter shafts in this line to?, or do we have to look elsewhere.
You kindly suggested to try a counter balanced shaft and a draw biased driver head if I wanted to take the right side out of play and have a “draw” driver. A follow up question, have you seen playing a longer length also to promote more of a draw swing ? Also, what would be a couple of more counter balanced shafts I should try around 58g to 63g range. Thanks
A longer length can create a shallower plane and more draw but most of the time it creates bigger dispersion so something to be careful of. Counter-balanced shafts at that weight are VA Nemysis 55, Oban Kiyoshi HB 55 and Devotiin HB 55, Hzrdus RDX Smoke Green 65 and RDX Blue 60, lower cost Accra Iw5. These straddle the high 50g and mud-low 69g window
Thank you, Simon. I called Fujikura to ask about the NX Speeder TCS shaft, which is one of the stock options on the Taylormade Qi10 drivers. They told me it is most like a Vista Pro series 55-60. I had been wondering about the profile/flex in the grip, middle and tip areas. So I think it's probably the same. You haven't by chance been able to check out the NX Speeder TCS, have you? (I'm not buying a Qi10, I found a NX Speeder TCS R50 shaft for a very good price and am trying it on my M6 Driver head, when it arrives.)
It is not a main production model - I suspect it is a generic light weight shaft that is an easy torque and tip profile to give maximum feel and launch but will likely only change paint job each launch!
@@Precision_Golf Thanks for the reply. I put the shaft on my M6 driver and it's working well for me, actually gained 20+ yards and dispersion is better. Found the following specs on it: SPEEDER NX TCS 50 R 53grams 3.6 torque High Launch, Mid Spin
The iron specific shafts will be a mid-to-responsive feel so not overly harsh but it depends what you are currently playing as to how they will differ. In theory mid launch and spin but a good value option too.
Vista Pro are designed with a slightly softer tip but more stable mid section and AV Blue are stiffer tip and softer mid section. Vista Pro will swing a little more too heavy as well but in theory will spin a little more.
Thanks for video. Do you play the R shaft or are you just testing it for video purposes? Thanks I ask because I swing Driver at 100-102 and I see buy your launch #'s that you are around that speed as well.
The flex relative to speed is not a major factor in performance did you the stiffness - if you prefer a softer feel and the slightly lighter weight suits then play the R flex but if the marginally heavier weight but firmer feel gives more confidence then the S flex is better. Ultimately the flex difference alone between the R and S flex will not materially change ball flight
Kudos for not just reviewing premium products 👍
Thanks Andy

Thanks for the info - always good to hear someone who has had a good experience!

The Tensei Orange is exactly that being a more counter balanced profile so heavier under the grip whereas the other two are a more mid balanced shaft

They do wood, hybrid and iron options.
Thanks Simon. Another informative video. Ignoring price, key expected differences to most comparable Ventura velocore ? Thanks
The Ventus should feel a bit another and in principle be a little lower spin. I would say Ventus Red or TR Red would be most comparable

@@Precision_Golf thank you. I’ll be sure to give them a try. Have a great Sunday

How do you think these would work out on a set of Irons?

How does fuji vista compare to Tensei Blue Raw?
Vista Pro are designed with a slightly softer tip but more stable mid section and AV Blue are stiffer tip and softer mid section. Vista Pro will swing a little more too heavy as well but in theory will spin a little more.
