I’ve been growing my hair out since 2019 and I’m getting ready to cut it off… My preference… I get why barbers use the hair enhancements… To make the haircut look nice! It’s like icing on the cake… However I’m not sure if I like that idea… Because when you wake up the next morning it’s gonna be invisible… I used to use that stuff for my hair and I didn’t realized how pushed back my hairline was until that day I woke up… My personal preference would be to not have to use hair enhancements for the simple fact that it’s not going to be there the next day… And if barbers aren’t paying close attention they can push back your hairline easily in the next 2-3 cuts if they aren’t careful with how much hair enhancements they are using… When I was growing my hairline back it was cool at first to make up for my lost hair but after a while I noticed that my hairline was never growing back because my barber kept pushing it back further and further each and every cut just to spray those enhancements on my hairline… I just don’t agree with using those… It does make the haircut look nice tho…
It depends on the barber as well. If a good barber applies enhancements its not to hide his mistakes of covering up a pushback, its to enhance a natural line-up. MPB can also have affected you bro, look into that

@@nolifezay4636 this what i do, before i get lined up by a new barber i tell him “i want my lineup to look as natural as possible, like i don’t like going too far up but you can still make it sharp” that kind of hints at the barber saying don’t push me back but make it sharp, it always works for me. If the barber still pushes you back tho, he not valid
