Hey Frank, great video. One correction for you though, in method 1 you chose the third measurement box. That will measure from the outside of the wall of the helmet to the other outside of the wall of the helmet which means you're getting the wall thickness in the measurement too. You should choose the second measurement type for an inside measurement. Method #2 is fire!

Thanks a lot for making this guide! Scaling helmets has been a challenge for me so far and this has really given me a lot of options I didn’t even consider before! I was however making my own callipers out of folded up lengths of paper and a ruler but this all seems a bit more accurate than that 😂

Love this, before I got a 3d printer I had a local guy make me my Batman Beyond helmet and I had to go around to do some measurements after the first print was huge. Managed to get the second one completed but it's awkward to get my head in so I'm going to attempt to do it again but more like your awesome Ironman ones 🤩

Hey Frank! When you did the photogrammetry method, did you change the model scale of your scan? I followed Uncle Jesse's tutorial for it, but I'm still a little unsure if I'm doing it right based off a description a model I downloaded had.
Test rings is a good method that I might try, but I honestly would love to do it all digitally if possible to reduce waste
