Secret campsite hidden in the forest

Chance Bay in the Nydia Sounds is one of our favourite spots to take friends. It is so calm and peaceful, with the anchorage surrounded by native forest, a rich bird life and deep clear water. On this visit we stumbled across something altogether different, a hidden camp on the waters edge. This is a strictly boat access only place, there are no roads anywhere close to this bay, but even though there was a smoking fire, there was no boat to be seen. The boys came up with their own theories and forever more this beach side camp will be known as "Murderer's Camp"....... Boys being boys, their imaginations ran wild and before we knew it they had created an entire backstory to the smoldering fire, discarded food and cut ropes. There was danger afoot, and they talked about a security watch that night on the boat, until they got tired...
