The Panamera is a little too low slung for me; I prefer the slightly higher seating position, and of course the ability to carry 5 people in the car. Leave one of my kids home alone, and we're good to go on holiday 😊 Overall the M5 is just more practical for me. The admittedly mite harsh ride over non-smooth roads is forgiven for the sheer scare+enjoyment of the M5 engine.

I’m both a BMW and Porsche fanboy. Drive a Beemer now but aspire to a 911 GT3 touring. For me the M5 CS is the most desirable by a long way. It’s a special first of all, but it’s both better looking and quicker than the Porker. But most of all, 2 tons is 2 tons. It should be lighter than the BMW equivalent.

It's a pity we'll never see Audi performing on this level. They've been completely sidelined by BMW and AMG. Porsche is simply uncontested overall. It's for this very reason that the B8.5 S5 will be the last Audi I ever buy. Anything newer will never ever live up to standard.

In years past I probably would've taken the BMW but the Panamera has really grown on me. Having sat in both (M5 Comp not CS but close enough) the Porsche just feels higher quality. And it's basically just as fast.

Well all that added comfort, sound insulation, ventilated seats, 3 chamber suspension, my money would be on porsche all day any day, handled surprisingly well, was expecting porsche to be hammered by m5cs, but actually is the only stock car in segment (Rs7,rs6,e63s..) that can at least match m5cs....
It is also a full segment higher than the 5er. It is comparable to the 7er and the S class. It sits on the Continental GT platform so that is saying something. The M5 CS is still an incredible car.

Absolutely true. The Panamera can be used as a real everyday car. The regular M5 can be the same but CS' ride is just too harsh for daily use.

Tbh im more impressed by Panamera, which is way more luxurious, the CS is supposed to be the track car of M5 competition. Panamera is super comfy and luxurious interior. Id take the Porsche for everyday driving, but in black
In years past I probably would've taken the BMW but the Panamera has really grown on me. Having sat in both (M5 Comp not CS but close enough) the Porsche just feels higher quality. And it's basically just as fast.
Naaah, this M5 is easily above Panamera.

Was interested in seeing the race, but damn I forgot how bad this channel is for Matt's relentless plugging. Remembered why I stopped. Not that it matters with 7.5m subs - they got what they needed.

Well all that added comfort, sound insulation, ventilated seats, 3 chamber suspension, my money would be on porsche all day any day, handled surprisingly well, was expecting porsche to be hammered by m5cs, but actually is the only stock car in segment (Rs7,rs6,e63s..) that can at least match m5cs....
It is also a full segment higher than the 5er. It is comparable to the 7er and the S class. It sits on the Continental GT platform so that is saying something. The M5 CS is still an incredible car.

Porsche charges a premium for their cars and still are giving analog dials in 2022.
BMW looks boring. Panamera looks best plus nearly as quick .
Porsche need to bring out a Panamera Turbo GT which in theory would be closer to the M5CS.

@@hewley0 sure and the BMW would release a CSL. That argument makes no sense. The model designations don’t really matter when comparing across car manufacturers. But it’s clear that bmw can build a car at a lower price point that outperforms the Porsche.
I think if you have the money for one of this cars, you would not buy them for drag races.
@@osmiumtank Porsche can then release a rival to the CSL. And if BMW and Porsche are priced similarly, then 8 out 10 people would chose the Porsche simply because Porsche has more brand value than BMW.

O M5 CS é um bom representante do que a BMW era passado, carro para quem gosta da experiência de dirigir. Dá pra ver pelo estilo do carro, bem BMW. Os novos me parecem que são feitos pra agradar investidor que não tem interesse na marca, só no retorno de investimento, e acha que vai conseguir isso seguindo tendências.
@@bluethingy120 cara, concordo plenamente contigo. O M5 mantém aquele espírito BMW de ser. Talvez por isso a BMW modifique pouco no design dessa série. A única a mudar esse curso foi a série 5 E60 do famoso Christopher Edward Bangle, onde a ousadia tomou conta da BMW. Aquele V10 era sublime! As novas M4 e M3, adicionaram um peso desnecessário, ficaram mais pesadas que a geração anterior, algo inadmissível. Acho que a BMW precisa reduzir o peso desses novos M. A M5 normal apanhou da maioria dos rivais. A CS foi que mudou a história, justamente por ser mais leve. O que achas da XM?
