I still remember this song from CT Expert Shortcuts 2. Songs from the first 2 CT shortcut montages are memorable, can't tell how much of that is just by association.
I’m thinking that Jellopuff didn’t need Funky Kong's speed bonus given that he was supergrinding a lot of the time. So he used Rosalina for her mini turbo bonus, having mini turbos that last 4 more frames than Funky Kong, and also Rosalina has a small speed bonus as well. I'm actually thinking that that having a lower speed stat is actually better because Rosalina can take turns ever so slightly tighter than Funky Kong because of her lower speed stat, despite having no drift bonus. I could be wrong here as I have never TASed at all, so don't quote me on this.
im not into tas:ing or anything this was just randomly on my recommended tab, holy hell this was entertaining to watch didnt know mkwii could be THIS broken
if you go frame by frame you can see the bike rotation the first time he goes up the zipper. also he used the trick counter code and it went up when he did that, so it counts. there was some controversy with that when the results stream happened at first but it's settled now. because of this, any task that has a trick requirement will be verified with a trick counter code from now on.
watching TASes can give you an idea of how to play the game. the more technical stuff takes a while to get used to. looking back on my first ever submission on task 8 2021, i have learned so much since! dont be afraid to join the discord and ask questions if you have any
I'd like to see a task where the goal isn't to go as fast as possible, but to be as stylish as possible while still going fast. In my mind, there'd be a panel of judges that'd give each run a certain number of points, giving points for doing cool tricks and stuff, while deducting points for doing stuff that is very not cool like falling off, but also for doing stuff that wastes time in an effort to show off more stuff, like for example going backwards or making very little progress, because you still have to go fast

you should look into TAF or tool assisted freeruns
Where was Jellopuff’s fourth trick? Looks like he only has 3, unless he got a jammed trick on the zipper.
You can see the bike flick back with the camera on the half pipe
