I like the Chesty theory because it doesn't contradict the thoughts on the necropolis in TLC possibly being related to the shadow court. It would make a lot of sense for chesty to want to keep his Super Best Friends somewhere for safekeeping to somewhat experience how their village was destroyed by shadows. It would've been interesting to see Reaver's reaction to the snow globe and or world inside
@@lsthero5863 Actually one of the few human memories of emotion Reaver keeps, and tries to bury, is the night he killed all of Oakvale and let his lover die. So, I would think he would have quite a devastated reaction before quickly trying to play it off. Like: **Is teleported into The Cursed Snowglobe alongside the player** Reaver:"Now then! That certainly rustles my jimmies- please do warn me next time, hm? I'd hate to land on m- My... My god..." Reaver's cold and charmed character breaks for only a second as he stares, in both horror and nostalgic awe, at the tall arching wooden covered bridge and the distant elder oak, hearing the sound of the sea brushing off the coast. "I... I can't believe it..." Reaver then blinks, sighs, and turns to the player with a cheered smile, "really now this place is much better left in that dreadful swamp."
Dude, I'm sure your channel is going to skyrocket when the new fable gets released, you are the only guy on youtube that keep making videos about fable. Wish you all the best, keep it up.
I personally have always believed that this is what happened to oakvale after reaver’s deal as it is almost the exact same layout and has a similar backstory to oakvale Not to mention the enemies here are shadows
It’s obvious Theresa was the one that gave Murgo these relics. He even suggests so. There must have been some reason behind her getting these objects to us. Oakvale was her home, it’s likely she wanted to see it have some semblance of peace. Perhaps the snow globe allowed for the Hero to save the souls claimed by the Shadow Court. Perhaps the globe was created by the Shadow Court itself to hoard the souls. Which is why we find shadow monsters. Edit: and Chesty was born from the shadow court’s magic. The vengeful soul taken form as a chest.

I.. I .. I, This is amazing just amazing!!! The Lore behind Oakvale video you made is my absolute favourite video you made. And the fact you made this video blew my mind. Keep up the good work. Fable doesn’t deserve to be underrated.
I like to think that the Snowglobe eventually ended up in Reavers possesion. Who knows what he would do with it though? I think that the Shadow Court were the ones that actually did it (because of Reaver) and Chesty just added themselves to the mix. They're my Super Bestest Friend you know! It's always been my head-canon that Murgo was a descendent of the Travelling Twader at the start of F1 and I think every Fable should have a Murgo in it, like Legends was going to do (ah, Legends :C )
It think it'd be quite sad if it did end up in Reaver's possesion. Kind of a full circle moment for him. I believe the traders are related, but, who knows!
I enjoyed this video a lot. I like Chesty's story a bit more I think. By the way, I think you shouldn't feel forced to include a theory in every video. Great theories don't just appear out of thin air! Also yeah, this video was already packed with good content, so I'm completely fine with having no theory every once in a while. Keep up the great work man!
Keep up the good work my friend I just love seeing these videos about Fable it just brings me back to so much simpler times when I was younger playing the best game ever in my humble opinion that being Fable The Lost Chapters.
I think it was a bit of both. I think Mrytle was murdered and Chesty created the morning Reaver made his deal. Pulled into that pocket dimension of the globe, the malevolent spirit of Chesty would terrorize the people who wronged him in life, while the Shadow creatures of the court would take the rest. Or possibly it was the rampage of Chesty in the village that drove Reaver to seek the Court and make his deal, fearing for his life against the monster that has taken his home. Until the hero came and freed the village from the curse of the court but unbeknownst to them, also unleashed the spirit of Chesty, who not ready for peace, was now free to terrorize the living world.
Your video lore really helps me better understand the world and character building. I'm using these videos to help me build a fanfic of [Fable×RWBY], but don't hold your breath for it as I am still waiting for the new Fable game for more lore.
I never heard the Chesty theory. 😨 It's kind of too sad for me. 😝 So... what if Chesty was killed by the shadow court while hiding in a chest and then tried to recreate Oakvale in a twisted and chesty-esque attempt to return to how it was? 🤔 PS Wow, Oakvale took part in getting rid of the heroes? That didn't turn out too well... 😅
What if it's both the stories. Reaver's deal with the shadows might've imbued the chest Myrtle was put in with magic which lead to the eventual destruction of Oakvale and maybe even the creation of the snow globe.
I get the feeling that both stories are true. What would make the most sense is first Myrtle’s death, which would lead to the deaths of her schoolmates and teacher, the ones who did the most wrong to her. After that was Reaver’s deal and the destruction of the rest of Oakvale. If it was more than just vanity and the news of the deaths spread around like wild fire, then it would line up with Reaver’s deal. As for how everything became compact into a snow globe, I would theorize that it was probably Chesty, wanting to cause more torment to the rest of the village instead of just the children and teacher.
Bro, this Murgo guy looks the same through the years, quite strange isn’t it? Maybe he found some magical object from the old kingdom which prevents him from aging
As usual I write my comment as I watch. Woah, wait... Oakvale started the Revolution that destroyed The Hero's Guild and ended the Heroes? I always thought what Reaver did was a terrible thing but now? They deserved it. The Innocents (Because they are the descendants of them and probably love their grandparents and other elders that did it) and all. Know why? If the Heroes were still around they probably could've saved AT LEAST half the village. Hell, the Hero of Oakvale probably could've stopped it himself. HA! Great minds think alike? On a closing note. The door to the cave/temple where the Shadow Court resides in in Oakvale. POSSIBLY before Reaver "summoned" them. We still don't know how Theresa stopped aging. What if she made a deal with The Shadow Court for immortality? We know she was a powerful Seeress, and after being spared by her Brother in The Chamber of Fate (Does it bother anyone else that in Fable 2 for a majority of the story she stays in the room where her brother, really considered killing her) went off somewhere (Samarkand?) to hone her skills and do research. Maybe she came across texts (Poor choice of words?) about The Shadow Court. Not sure what the deal was. Possibly, Immortality for bringing them into this dimension?
I loved Oakvale in Fable, but the fact they changed Albion completely after their distain for the Heroes was sad. There are so many possibilites with what could have happened, it was great to get a developers thoughts on it too.
What if Myrtle has latent hero abilities? And with the rising of anti-hero sentiment particularly in Oakvale, the children got carried away with the ideas they picked up from their parents, never understanding the gravity of it all. Then when myrtle is killed the magic in her blood seeps out into the toy chest and animates it? Magic souls like Nostro can linger within a corpse, and we see them jumping from corpse to corpse with the hollow men, and animating inanimate objects like suits of armour in Shadelight, I think it makes sense.
Story one doesn't really make sense, Reaver's deal is that he has to trade the youth of others to maintain his own. Why would they take an entire village and stuff it onto a snow globe the souls don't look like they had their youth drained away so it hardly fulfills the terms of Reaver's arrangement. Story two also seems more like a fan made creepy pasta rather then anything a lion head developer would come up with.
