I'm aussie and I've seen those giants in Tassie. The tallest tree in the world is a coastal redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) which is in california, US.
Those “funny” rocks are called Remarkable Rocks. They are on Kangaroo island, just off the the South Australian coast. Kangaroo island is one of Australia’s top tourist attractions with its wildlife and unspoiled landscapes and beaches.

That tiered waterfall is actually Russell falls in Tasmania. For a dry continent Australia is blessed with so many beautiful waterfalls, there are some very wet areas, diversity is huge , snow to desert to tropical rainforest
Ryan, you really need to come to Australia.
If you do, plan for at least 6 weeks or much more, it's that big.
Everything you see in other countries, you almost see it all in Australia.
Sandy deserts, rocky deserts, 10,000 beaches, snow fields in winter for skiing, rainforests, iconic buildings and a wide range of exotic wild animals.
Add to that, a whole bunch of people who would like to say, 'G'day, to you.

That Waterfall with ferns could be lots of places around Australia, but does look a LOT like Russell Falls down here in Tas. Australia is a BIG Continent. It has many MANY different climates and micro-climates. That snow scene was pretty high up - above the tree line.😊
Its Natural Bridge in Springbrook QLD. Been a few times there.
The part with the clouds moving across the sky and the 3 rock formations is The "3 Sisters" in Katoomba NSW - The Blue Mountains
The 3 Sisters anad similar rock formations, are a short drive or train trip , from central Sydney, easily accessible for tourists.
Just for your information Ryan, the Australian Alps get more snow on them than the Swiss Alps.
Switzerland is tiny though.
Gday Jay. I think we have more skiable terrain than Switzerland? Our mountains and high plains are 'skiable' because they're mostly domes. More snow? Don't know.

@@Dr_KAP that is correct. Part of it that our alps cover more area than the Swiss Alps but, none the less, the Aussie Alps get more snow.

The first and last images are the Twelve Apostles along the Great Ocean Rd in Victoria and the Wide Waterfall is McKenzie Falls in the Grampians Vic
One of the Apostles designated in I think it was about 2005. lots of dust, birds flying off the top of the sandstone plinth. Then, a mound in the Southern Ocean.
3:33 is the Russell Falls in Tasmania, been there, awesome!! 4:40 is an Echidna. 4:43 Remarkable Rocks on Kangaroo Island off South Australia.

Hi Ryan, here are my best guesses about where these are (time on your video):
0:35 - The Twelve Apostles, Great Ocean Road, Australia. These are limestone stacks that are formed by erosion of the cliffs by the ocean. I have never seen anyone climb them. I think that would be particularly dangerous. People have been stranded on them, however. There is a formation called London Bridge that consisted of two arches that joined to the mainland. One day in 1990, the arch connecting to the mainland collapsed, leaving an isolated arch on which two people were stranded. They had to be rescued by helicopter.
0:42 - Uluru, Northern Territory (as you know).
0:48 - Remarkable Rocks, Kangaroo Island, South Australia
0:57 - Not sure where this waterfall is. Could be Belmore Falls, Southern Highlands, New South Wales but happy to be corrected.
1:07 - Again, not certain, but likely Girraween National Park, Queensland
1:23 - This could be any of many rain forests but likely somewhere in Far North Queensland
1:34 - No idea, really. Dimalurru (Tunnel Creek) National Park, Western Australia is a possibility
1:42 - Pretty sure this is Eucalyptus regnans (mountain ash) at Mount Field National Park, Tasmania
1:58 - Not sure, could be Bay of Fires, Tasmania
2:27 - Three Sisters, Blue Mountains National Park, New South Wales
2:33 - Uluru (again)
2:46 - Remarkable Rocks (again)
3:04 - Could be anywhere, really
3:10 - Pretty sure this is the Enchanted Walk, Cradle Mountain, Tasmania
3:20 - Pretty sure this is Russell Falls, Mount Field National Park, Tasmania
3:38 - This could be pretty much anywhere in the Australian Alps of New South Wales and Victoria or the Tasmanian highlands, possibly Mount Kosciuszko, New South Wales, the tallest mountain in Australia. Fun fact: Australia has a greater area of snow than Switzerland.

4:13 - Not sure, but reminds me of the area around Mount Bogong, Victoria's highest mountain
4:19 - Lord Howe Island: way out in the Pacific Ocean, but New South Wales territory
4:39 - Not a porcupine, but an echidna, one of two monotremes (egg laying mammals), the other being the platypus
4:46 - Remarkable Rocks (again)
5:03 - The Twelve Apostles (again)
5:13 - Kangaroos - could be anywhere
5:19 - Kata Tjuta (Olgas), Northern Territory
There are two main kinds of rainforest in Australia: the tropical rainforests of the northern parts, and the cool climate rainforests of Victoria and Tasmania. They are distinctly different but both beautiful. There is snow in the Australian Alps, both NSW and Victoria, and also in the high country of Tasmania. It even snows occasionally in the high inland parts of Queensland.
We also have the temperate rainforest in New South Wales including the Blue Mountains
ive swum in that cave before with the waterfall falling through its roof, such a lovely spot that is in a national park in queensland near the n.s.w border. beautiful spot with a bbq area that has goannas so 'friendly' they steal the food from the tables lol.
Natural Bridge is now fenced off and you are not permitted to swim there. Slow like going there. Glowworms in the ceiling are great there too.
We have rain Forrest’s in Victoria which are beautiful and full of waterfalls.
And in WA but not much in the waterfall department.
Ryan, I’m a 43 year old Australian and recently visited part of the South Australia outback and I can not put into words how big, vast, beautiful and empty Australia is.
I needed to backtrack to buy supplies and the closest town (Leigh creek) was a 5 hour return trip by 4x4 on a dirt road. It was incredible. I can’t wait to see more and I hope you and your family get to see it all too.

Ryan there is rainforests areas from Victoria right up to nth Queensland, I'm not quite midway up the east coast and the mountains to my west get snow every year and also support many rainforest ecosystems. You just have to visit and you will find out it's way more varied than you could imagine seriously mate
Couldn't think of many better places in the world than down here for natural beauty tbh. While our mountains aren't that tall by international standards, because of the vast area of wilderness we have, the Victorian High Country and NSW Snowy Mountains get more snow per year than all of Switzerland plus Tassie gets an equally good dumping each year as well. We've got areas of rainforest from as far south as Tasmania and Victoria all the way up to Far North Queensland. Our Mountain Ash Trees (Eucalyptus Regnans) are only beaten by your Californian Redwoods for the title of tallest tree species. The entire country has rugged coastlines and beautiful beaches.

Not a porcupine, Ryan - an echidna (‘spiny anteater’). One of the only two living species of ‘monotreme’, its closest living relative is the platypus. Monotremes are an ancient branch of mammals that lay eggs, and then suckle their young. Baby monotremes (cute little squishy things without hair or fingernail-like spines) are called ‘puggles’.
A lot of the places you are looking at are Tasmania. The waterfalls here are some of the most spectacular in the world and the snow covered areas are the central highlands in Tassie
Speaking of phobias like agoraphobia, sometimes when people visit, particularly from high density cities like in Asian countries, they become extremely overwhelmed with how wide open Aus is. Seen it first hand, like a full blown panic attack, their entire concept of spatial awareness expands and it can be too much to handle.
I'm Australian, I lived in London for a couple of years and I really noticed how "everything" houses, buildings etc were so squished together with narrow roads so the sun would disappear behind the buildings really early, it seemed so unnatural being deprived of seeing the sun set and you literally see it all upfront so when I returned home I felt my eyes readjust (it felt like they relaxed) seeing everything in panoramic was so good, and not blowing black boogers was a relief, the soot from the underground (rail system) and the pollution from so many cars actually gives you black boogers, it's a well known fact (which you only learn once you get there and talk to other travellers!). Oh and I was taken aback at the people working in the supermarket, restaurant and retail shops because they'd actually say "hi, how's it going?" With smiles on their faces! I'd forgotten that's just normal in Australia.
You can distinguish the North and the South of Australia by the plants around the falls. Ferns are south and palms up north. These images are mostly in Victoria. Oh yes the spiky little animals, they are Echidna's.
Snow, we get more than you think, the great dividing range up the entire east coast is absolutely breathtaking no matter where you are. This is why most people live there its the prettiest best place to be with so much to offer to see and do.
Uluru is actually a giant sandstone boulder, sitting on its side into the land around it.. approx 500 million years old..
It's ole blue eyes! 😃 Most of this looks like Tasmania, the red rocks, tallest trees, the best waterfalls, rainforests! Blue Mountains, NT, Uluru, WA! 🥱 Sleeping beauty, Tas! Echidna! Mostly peaceful Tasmania! 💗 Nap time! 😌

Australia is so big, we have just about every kind of landscape you can imagine. The scene towards the end of the video with a beach with two mountains in the background is Lord Howe Island. It's waaay off the east coast but is technically a part of NSW. It's the rim of an extinct volcano and quite beautiful. I'm housebound with chronic illness but was lucky enough to climb one of those mountains, Mt Gower, in 2007. The climb nearly killed me 😅 but the view was stunning.
Dude, you need to look up The Great Ocean Road in Victoria. That is where the 12 apostles are, (the rocks standing in the ocean). It's a beautiful, coastal road that goes through The Otway National Park. The scenery is amazing! ❤🐨

Yep, I walked across London Bridge at the 12 apostles years ago.
The next day it collapsed, so yep, I have been on top of one of those apostles down along The great ocean road Vic.
The waterfall under cave with tree trunk is Natural Bridge in Springbrook QLD. Its a great place to visit in a National Park. No diving allowed anymore due to deaths. But years ago you could dive from above through the gaping hole into the shallow pool below. Most deaths occurred after heavy rainfalls as the debris fills the pool and people get skewered on branches. There used to be an Eel that lived there and was friendly for a peace of bread! Also saw a very white spider that was the size of a hand with very long legs that "bounced" across the water to get away from my friend when he get close leaving a white liquid every time the spiders bum hit the water! We got some kids away from it fearing poison!
You probably now know more about Australia than most Aussies. You’ve certainly done the deep dive into the Oz research. You’d fit right in when you finally make it out this way. 😂
Fun fact: Australia is home to the world's oldest rain forest (The Daintree Rainforest) It and the Great barrier reef are the only two UNESCO world heritage sites to meet
The waterfall "up north" is actually in Tassie! Russell Falls. I always make a point to visit when I road trip down that way.
The double waterfall you thought was in the north of Australia is actually in Tasmania, the island state of Australia. Tasmania has a cool temperate climate, it’s very beautiful there
The waterfalls and rainforest you say is not what you think of when you think of Australia, is what the area where I live is like. It's called the Wet Tropics and is in the Far North East of the country main city being Cairns. Of shore from here is The Great Barrier Reef also. There is a place just north of Cairns where the rainforest meets the reef.

Interesting fact for you Ryan. South Eastern Australian snowfields cover more area than Switzerland. I'll admit they aren't normally deep and no glaciers come from them but they exist.

USA has a lot of natural wonders as well, Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Yellowstone National Park, Mt Rushmore, Hawaii volcano's etc.

Mt Rushmore, of course, is natural. And I'm sure there are some nice trails in the area. Most people visit for the heads carved in it though. But yeah, there is plenty of natural beauty in the USA. Sorry Bill, if it seems like we are picking on you.
3:17 is Russell Falls in the island state of Tasmania. In the Mt Field National Park. It's a lovely waterfall with some other great places to visit. We've had snow here at sea level. Last time it happened where I live at, was in 2016 in Tasmania.

You don't appreciate the true deep beauty of the Blue Mountains and millions of years rock formations and rain Forrest unless to actually go there..Australia has 1000s of unbelievable waterfalls and unless you travel through ranges from top of Australia to Tasmania..Australia is one of or oldest countries in the world and outback Queensland is where most dinosaurs have been found...and to see Victoria's ocean road and northern Territory's Katherine gorge to the north of Western Australia e from Karratha to nort of Broome will you feel like you are in millions of years awe..unfortunately neither Northern Territory and North of West Australia is shown on the different tourist shows...Tasmania is also extremely rugged and spectacular mountain ranges too..We have what is called "grey nomads" here who after retirement get caravan or mobile type car and spend 6 to 12 months travelling around Australia..I live in tropical Queensland on best beaches in the world and 10 mins up the hill is rainforest...but have family all over Australia and visit and Australia is AMAZING
The waterfall/cave at 1:32 is where I live. When I was a kid it was called Natural Arch but they have changed it to Natural Bridge. It is on the NSW/QLD border.

Australia is such a unique country. It’s also technically an island! It has every biome from beaches, deserts, rainforests, bushland, jungle, fields and even places that snow more than Canada! Australia is also known for how its plants and animals are very different from other countries because they are isolated and adapt to every environment

Tasmania can have a hot day and then have snow on Mt Wellington near Hobart the very next day.
There are waterfalls like that in Tasmania too. I've been to the balancing rock as a 2 year old.....now that's a crazy photo!
Australia is a diverse country, culturally and geographically. I adore living here.
For the Aussie spirit you need the poetry of A.B. Banjo Paterson. There is a song version by Wallace and Matilda. "The man from Snowy River" or "Clancy of the overflow" are good starts.
The car fossils are from Kangaroo island. They are a granite pluton that was exhumed and then weathered by the wind to create those shapes.
People seem to forget that we are a whole continent...

One of the waterfalls is here in Tasmania it's called Russell Falls located in Mt Field National Park and several other Falls as well.

The waterfall which he stated "Was up north"..... Actually....the flora included "fern palms" from the South, probably from Tasmania and probably "Russel Falls" (Google image it). I lived there. Now I live in Cairns (Far North Tropic-Queensland--QLD)...the ferns do not grow here. But so Beautiful in QLD. See "The Daintree" and "Barrier Reef".
Porcupines are "Echidnas". one of the wonders. They lay eggs AND give milk to their young. Only Platypus and Echidnas so this (Monotremes)
Australia is as big as the US, and Queensland is a huge state i live in. Maybe around 2.5x bigger than Texas.

I'm Australian and only learned recently that Wombats do square shits, I'm amazed ... One more reason to love them. Imagine if we shat out a different shape every time, like cookie cutter shapes? I guess we'd end up playing with our shit, and making a big mess. OK for the workplace when you're bored but definitely not at home. Yes ... Those waterfalls are lovely

Remarkable Rocks on Kangaroo Island in South Australia.
There are forests all along the east coast of Australia. The one you said "wow" to is the Three Sisters in a national park not far from Sydney.
We did a 4wheel drive trip through the Australian alps one Xmas and had snow on New years day (mid summer)
3.41 is a waterfall in Tasmania, also the huge tree is from there too. You need to check out some videos of the most southerly state

They are very different to a porcupine - porcupines are actually rodents whereas the echidna is an ancient type of marsupial. Additionally, echidna cannot eject their spines, whereas a porcupine can. Echidnas are found all over Australia, including Tasmania.

That waterfall and fern forest, looks like it might be a temperate rainforest like the ones found in the southern parts of Australia.
At 2.00 minutes to 2.18 minutes you are looking at a beach. The red is sandstone rock in the sandy beach, the green is the same rock with algae growing on it. The tide is out and the rocks are exposed.
I am from Melbourne l live near the Dandenong Ranges just over an hours drive from the city and they are rainforests , tree ferns , creeks and some waterfalls. We have Wombats Possums Echidnas and masses of different native birds, of course there are snakes lizards and spiders too but you rarely see them. We have Kangaroos around the Cardinia dam erea and a lot of deer that are actually an introduced pest like the Rabbits and Foxes .
The tall rocks in the ocean are called the Twelve Apostle’s. They are on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. The ocean carves them out of the rocky cliff’s and it seems like when the sea wears one away it is replaced. No one climbs on them.
We have every climate and landscape in the world in one Country. We have more rainforests and ski resorts than people think. Not everyone lives near the coast.
Happy arvo Ryan. I love the fact that I can find solitude in Australia's wide open spaces. Bush, Mallee, Desert, tropical rainforest. I'd love to travel the US, but too many people, and too many guns.
I’ve been to the U.S. twice now, loved what I saw Disney land, Grand Canyon , Vegas. I would go back again but next time see other parts of the country

The clips with weird shaped rocks (and they're really big. You can stand beneath them) is Remarkable Rocks on Kangaroo Island in South Australia. The Australian Alps get more snow than Switzerland. It also snows in Tasmania and sometimes in South Australia. And... ECHIDNAS not porcupines!
Australia has so many different types of vegetation in Adelaide where I was born is so different from Darwin or Queensland. It's vast and expansive when you fly over you will fall asleep wake hours later and still flying over the desert.
At 3:32 that could have been south in Victoria or Tasmania. We have temperate rainforests that have waterfalls and vegetation like in this scene. They're really beautiful.
Rolling hills in the deadset could be anywhere from Long Reach to Kalgoorlie, the Flinders Ranges or Gawler Rangers would be close.
I live in Australia and love it here but there nowhere more scenic than my home country New Zealand. It has high mountains, glaciers, fiords and volcanoes.
Gday. There are hundreds of beautiful waterfalls all over. My home town has about 5 swimming holes with waterfalls almost that nice on farmland surrounding it. :)
We have a region called the Snowy Mountains.

We also have the oldest rain forest in the world, the Daintree in North Queensland. A prehistoric pine that was only discovered late last century somewhere in northern NSW, the place is a guarded secret, so that us humans don’t go in and destroy the place and uproot and take the trees.
look at Waterfall Way in NSW, you will be surprised. That is my home.
No you can’t get down to the apostles I think there were 12 in all but over the years they have corroded. We have Philip Island in Victoria also that at dusk you can see the fairy penguins come to feed their chicks after swimming 15 to 50 kilometres a day

Don't let people tell you is all flat desert with no Mountains. My wife & I flew from Canberra to Brisbane on Monday only my second plane flight in 38 years & even though it was cloudy you can see how many mountains & green bush with very few people to be seen . This country is vast.

Ryan - not sure there is one, but there should be - you need to react to Kangaroo Island. 'Remarkable Rocks' and so much more. Devastated by bushfires a few years back but getting back to its' beautiful self.

That waterfall you though was up north I'm pretty sure is Russell Falls in Tasmania.🤔
