I was on the front row in the centre for this and I’ve never been lost for something to say or do before. When they finished I literally didn’t move for a good few seconds, absolutely blown away. They got a standing ovation and you could feel the wave from it hit you. The audience LOVED it! Absolutely incredible!
So freaking happy they all get to keep exploring, keep using their different talents and always try to push themselves outside of the boxes people want to put them in! And these two together! The way they inspire each other, hype each other. Wonderful to see
Next week: Kirstie sings the bass, Scott plays the violin, Kevin plays a saxophone, Matt plays piano, and Mitch beatboxes. And the really cool thing is one of the above is actually true.
I saw Matt play the drums with Kevin this summer at a concert - Matt always looks like he is having so much fun! He was just a perfect fit for this group and I'm so glad they have the opportunity to showcase their talents!
Classical music with beatboxing and drums. I suspect these guys are it in terms of people who mix those things. The audience always loves it but I don’t know if traditional classical music audiences would even give it a chance. Or a traditional audience familiar with drums and beatboxing. PTX is again carving its own lane, creating space for this combination of music to develop. I love it when they do that.
I'll tell you what, I said this concert was awesome and I meant that! Man, we had a blast and after they did this piece standing ovation lasted 2 minutes, heck could have been longer. Peace out! ✌🤟
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!! They are just unstoppable……I sooooooo wish I could have seen this in person!! I just also love the super strong bond they have- musically, spiritually, energy-ly, fun-ly….all the “ly”s 😁.
I remember the video of Matt over a year ago when he was assembling his "new drum set" at his and Sarah's house. Sarah, his wife, didn't look super happy.....haha. By the way....Happy Anniversary to Matt and Sarah....today!
The whole this blows me away, but you should have seen me freaking out when he started out the song with the Harry Potter theme music!! I literally had to stop and rewind the Livestream to make sure I wasn't hearing things!!!
Wow! Great performance by Kevin and Matt. I was so concerned when Avi left that PTX wouldn’t recover. Matt has been such a godsend for them. Multi-talented and just a wonderful human from all accounts. Thanks for sharing this great performance.
I think Matt and Avi are the only members (current and former) of Pentatonix with college degrees in Music. Scott never finished while Mitch and Kirsti were just out of high school when they went to California for the Sing Off. It is amazing how talented all six of this wonderful group really are. I don't think we've seen half of what they are really capable of.
Kirstie did one year of college just like Scott did. She went to the university of Oklahoma where she studied musical theatre. They were in the same grade. Mitch was the one still in high school in 2011. The sing off audition was why he had to miss his high school graduation. Scott and kIrstie graduated in 2010 and got one year of schooling in before the sing off.

I'm sure you noticed that Kevin incorporated parts of their award winning vocals from their original version of this song.

Well said!

Kevin played the saxophone at Carnegie Hall when he was in high school.
Actually Scott does play piano

HOLY SHHHHHIIIIIIIIIDDDD! Made Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy a BANGER twice?! Phenomenal! Thank you for this! Great reaction!
Did you hear Matt’s low notes!? If not listen again!
Seriously. Let’s stop with the Avi comparisons now. ❤❤
Matt also played drums during The Kevin Show: Kevin's Fifth!! 😅
Kevin and Matt together amazing they were on fire 🔥 👍
Matt was the drummer, in his last Band!
They've reached beyond the top....the best....there is nothing beyond the skill they can't achieve.....truely mind blown❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow, Kevin and what does one say about Matt? Nice to see him coming out of his shell. The Mattamorphosis is complete!
Scott and Kirsty's Defying Gravity/Go The Distance is incredible too.

I'm an opera singer and I absolutely love this.
I love how they were so excited and happy at the end and were literally jumping up and down. They are so in tune with each other. Perfect match.❤
Great reaction to this awesome live performance by Kevin and Matt. Thank you. They are extremely talented and they love what they do.
I can’t explain how awesome this is live in person, especially a few feet from the stage!!!
I saw this live. It was amazing!
I'll tell you what, I said this concert was awesome and I meant that! Man, we had a blast and after they did this piece standing ovation lasted 2 minutes, heck could have been longer. Peace out! ✌🤟
Got to see this live in Wichita! It left me speeches..
Then Matt went there and hit bottom with his vocal solo! Excellent!

Now we need Scott and Mitch to do a ‘duelling pianos’ section! 😂
Great idea!

Wow, PTX! The talent is unreal!
This was something special. ❤❤
If you haven't listened to Kevin's Fifth (which is actually 3 separate songs) you should do so. Matt plays the drums there too.
I didn’t think they could top Kevin’s 5th, but I think they did.
My thoughts exactly!!!
This was so amazing to see live. We were all blown away!
OMGosh!!!!!! That was WAS was Amazing!
Saw this live! Awesome! ❤

They can ALL beatbox!! ruclips.net/user/shortsLiuAPZbnNEc
I seem to recall that Kirstie beatboxed during the "Trio" performance of "Telephone at about 1'30" ruclips.net/video/t2XBMWRK4Mw/видео.html
Mitch is actually the best rapper of them all.
@@Kari5274 matt is the best rapper of the group
@@Iwonka0081 I'm not going to argue with you.
