Hi! Great video, I wonder if there is a way to do the same thing, but if I am using not the mesh controller, but a joystick, that simply works by set position
I haven’t played with that much. The nav mesh system is really designed to set a destination and let the magic happen. Jason Wienmann (so) did a video where he used a joystick and the navmesh. It’s in C# and used a bunch of raycasting but it might be worth checking out.
Is it possible to do the same way of running the animation on the player character? so not using "get velocity" on the nav mesh agent but on the e.g. rigidbody of the player character?
@@OneWheelStudio impressive release frequency! :) Cool stuff! If you are short of ideas, it would be nice to see stuff like: - local device save / load - online data save / load - popular ads framework implementation with bolt - Smart objects, pickables, inventory system. - Match-3 / 2048 type of prptotype. Not asking any of it ofc, it's a lot of work. Just ideas, I'm sure you mahe have thought of it anyways too
The animator will work for all kinds of games and all kinds of things. The animations used in this video are specifically for a 3D model and so can't be applied to a 2D model. Hope that answers your question.
I haven't stopped using VS, but I've moved to using Bolt for my class so I've been creating video with Bolt... I will likely be doing a lot of Bolt videos in the near future, but I still use C# in VS for my personal work. I used to videos with Playmaker. As a side note Bolt is on sale for half price at the moment, not sure when the sale ends. Check the link in the video description ;)
Why i there is no mouse? It would be beter because i Cant see where you click

@@OneWheelStudio thank you for the suggestion!

If understand, then yes. Getting the velocity from the rigidbody should should work just as well as getting it from the nav agent.
Would love to see more tutorials - especially on rpg/moba perspective such as animations, UI, Skills. etc GREAT VIDEOS!
Hi, just wondering if you have a video on when you add the navmesh agent to your character? Can't seem to find it T.T
I believe it is in the second video in the series. Check out the whole playlist here: ruclips.net/p/PL7S-IAgf3dlVjaa0i7eCYbMlEpzCYk7ag

I love getting ideas. I just keep a running list. I especially like ideas that can be made in one video.
Are you thinking these ideas would use Bolt?
@@OneWheelStudio yeah I was thinking bolt specifically
Im trying to make an animation controller that is controlled by an nlp ai chatbot
Really great stuff!
These tutorials are great, thank you!
Omg plz more with Bolt
Awesome stuff, thanks a lot! Subscribed!
Im a newbie and desperately need help, got an idea of how it should work
ace thanks great video.
Is this just for 3D games how will it work for 2D

Yeah. I missed a few details in my early videos. Sorry about that.
Well basically a full game devoted to one ai npc thats controlled by a hella smart nlp chatbot
Sorry wish I could help, I don't know really where to start with that. Good luck! Sounds like a fun idea.
