Bradford fan in peace!! Love the way fans get behind their manager who's delivered three years of great results after a setback. When we got promoted in 2013, we had a similar start to you and then only won 1 in 21. The number of promoted teams who start well and then fade is significant. Mid-table, i.e. 10th to 8th will be a fine return for a team that was sat in the doldrums for the thick end of 10 years. Good luck for the rest of the season. Genuinely hope you and Mansfield continue to be at the right end, as your models are how you build a club, i.e. not sacking managers at the first hint of trouble.
It's a fair point you make. I think it's more confused observer than critical. We have many new players, playing in a system that is not recognised by many supporters from a Manager who has delivered over and above. At times, it's difficult to understand where and which direction things are heading in. Good look to Bradford for the season....
As a Bolton wanderers fan, I wasn't expecting that score last night, Even Bolton would have struggled against a very good Wycombe side, I said at the start of the season I expect Stockport to finish top half of the table and I still expect that, I'm expecting a different game on Saturday and expect you to come out all guns blazing. Good luck on Saturday and hope the best team wins
When the Hatters experience a significant defeat, which has been rare over the last four years, they always respond with vengeance, going on an impressive run in D.C. I trust.
We made Wycombe look good , first goal defo penalty , but addai should do better for the next 2 goals , after that it was like men v boys . Their centre halves totally out classed us . Basic stuff . Wycombe best I seen in this league so far . But we was dire
At this level you first need to fight, compete for the right to impose your style on the game. If that is missing, things go south very quickly - well done to Wycombe ….. they looked hungry. Good support too for a Tuesday night. Saturday is going to be interesting…
Agree 100%. Too many games this season we have just turned up and passively started playing. Tapping the ball about without much intent or idea of how we are actually going to win. Essentially handing the initiative to the opponents. The first couple of games this season and the Reading match were the only games we didn’t do that. Yesterday Wycombe took the initiative from the start and didn’t look back. Huge mindset change needed for Bolton.
Let's not forget where we were when DC et al took over and how far we have come. Dont chant for Ben. Get behind Addai. DC will develop and get the best out of players. Sometimes it doesnt work. I felt humiliated v Wycombe. As i am sure everyone connected to the club did. Keep the faith.
There's a lot to pick fault with, but the most easy to fix is not having Barry anywhere near the corner flag on a corner. The most frustrating thing I saw and we got smashed 5-0.
They cave in too easily.. It's all basic play whats so loose n lacking.. Playing out from the back with no conviction or direction... As for set play in defence ffs might as well be card board cut outs 🤫at least the fireworks went off as they should 👏👏👏👏👏
It's a volatile division and the odd win for County will come, but the general trajectory is down: we've been sussed out in terms of our passing game , either press hard until we give up and hoof it or let us play but smother us in the final third. In this respect both the better and worse teams have a solution for us. We've criticised DC in the past and he's come good so we have to be patient. Having said that there are real issues here that need addressing sooner rather than later or heads will drop.
Wycombe bullied us, and the scoreline didn’t flatter them. Let’s see what Saturday brings in terms of a reaction. We need one or serious questions will be asked about the way we’ve gone about with our recruitment and tactics this season.
County were not anywhere near Wycombe. They were faster fitter & better in every way, in this case why didn't we fall back into defence instead of just throwing long balls to nowhere. Their 4th goal could've been scored by any of 3 Wycombe players, where was the defence then or at any time in the game? It's easy to blame Addai, he is definitely suspect as a keeper, but even a decent keeper would've struggled with an absent defence. The question to ask of the coaching staff is do you actually practice defence? Forget about the attack, because County did.
He was brilliant but he’s 34 now, we offered him a one year deal, he wanted two, we were right to turn that down, one year was right, doubt he’d have made any difference last night.
Simon Wilson, Dave Challinor and Nick Colgan need to reaise and admit the signing of Cory Addai has been a complete disaster and as a goalkeeper he has serious faws in his technique. At 6'7 isn't dominant in the air, doesn't communicate or motivate his defenders and the most serious faults of all IMO is he is beaten far too many times by shots and headers in the bottom corners. The worst goalkeeping signing since Chris Adamson. If i was Mark Stott id also be asking the coaching staff, Nick Colgan in particular, who scouted Addai and recommended to the club he is a better goalkeeper than three time champion Ben Hinchliffe and serial Golden Glove wnner and why now was the time to waste 50k on a clear downgrade. If Nick Colgan thinks Hinchliffe is a worse keeper than Addai then id question his long term employment
Your defending the defence for the first 3 goals, and blaming the keeper. Watch back and see how shit our defence is this then causes problem further up the field.
@countyfan696 the defence relies on organisation and confidence off the keeper behind them. The fact is Addai doesn't give instructions or spread confidence enough games have been played that th defenders know Addai is sh1t.
Its been coming and a few more heavy defeats will follow. Too one dimensional, long kick out to Woots, who fouls and the ball comes straight back at you. If players were signed to play a system and they cant play it, get rid and get some in that can.
I think its very obvious that D.C is saying here that he wants to.play 3 at the back with wing backs but with Macca and Rydel back I think we'll see 3-5-2 more often now
@@LukeChadwick-ek8oo really? I'd be very surprised at that. Jov security is absolutely secure, hero to 95% of fans and at the end of the day a solid mid-table finish after a promotion is excellent
@@Zander__-wz1rc I agree, Simon Wilson said this season could be anything, But, I cant see D.C. putting up with players who wont/cant put their heart in the system he wants to play. Its a gamble, but I can see a few movements in January.
I've still got confidence in DC but how long he can stay in the job I'm not sure? I mean midtable would be a great achievement, playoffs will be a pipe dream
@@sirpeekalot4098 I don't agree, I think Ben's a good keeper, but also think it's wrong to lay much blame at Addai's door for that performance. One goal he should've saved, but his fotmob "Goals prevented" stat last night was only -0.87, and he made 5 saves, which doesn't at all suggest he's to blame for all 5 goals - in fact it could have been worse! The whole team looked poor, they found it too easy to bypass our midfield and there were some shocking errors in defence.

Wycombe look real championship potential. They were all over County's rear end.
Wycombe have scored the most goals this season and scored in every game this season. they definitely have potential.

Bolton and wrexham to follow 😬
4:59 back three four five eleven whatever you wanna call it
The defence is shit. Stop blaming the keeper. 0 shots on target not good. Men against boys.

3 year plan.
The stand behind the goal was good as empty so i ask why you only give bolton 844 tickets or have you alot of part timers turning up saturday?

Really do think we need big Ben back in clearly Addai's confidence is shot and we need some authority in nets
The defence is shit mate, not the keepers fault. If you build a brick wall in the nets others teams would still score.
Bens a flapper. Hes had his time and now the team needs to move on. Keeper to blame for one goal at most last night.
