Beautiful bike, we will take the Rally Explorer on a EU tour from 30th for 15 days black forrest, Switzerland, Italy so looking forward to finally test the Rally Explorer on a real big trip. 👌
The side to side sliding of the topbox plate is totally normal! I asked the same question to my Triumph dealer and this is copy pasted from the triumph website: "The clever design allows for lateral movement of the top box assembly to ensure handling is not affected, even when fully loaded" So it is normal and the movement has its use.
Hey Alex. I'm not too concerned with the side to side movement but am not liking the up and down play that seems to come with it. I can understand a millimetre but in my case it looks like about 3mm play which means that the box clunks around a bit too much for my liking.
Hi you know those hard rubber grommets just Soke them in hot water for few minutes till soft then use a bit of washing up liquid and they will go in easy . The washing up liquid will dry and as the rubber cools it will go hard again.👍🏍
As hard as i tried to fit the grommets without dismantling part of the bike I ultimately gave up. Dropped the beak (simple process) and the grommets were able to be inserted within seconds. Over $600 to replace the headlight assembly if the headlight is cracked. You can't just buy "just the light".
Rubber grommets like that ... put them in some freshly boiled water for about 30 seconds, soap them up with some dishwashing soap and they should slip in pretty easy. Using tools to push them through without soap (or silicone spray) can tear them or worse, break the plastic they are going into.
I think it’s a bad design not being able to remove the key when it’s unlocked, I know a few people that have snapped their keys off just unloading and loading the top box and panniers…….. I had a duplicate key cut and use this instead of the main key
Thanks for the vid. Going to do top box myself this winter. Does anyone have a real explanation of why it needs to slide? Very strange. No other bike that I know of does so. Older Triumph Sprints had sliding panniers, again, no clue why....
I didn't. Luckily I found all the parts and just put them in one at a time from the keyhole end down. If the part goes in flush when you insert the key then you know you have the part in the right slot. It doesn't take that long to do. Just hold the ones you have already fitted with your finger when you remove the key to put the next one in..especially the ones on the bottom.
I had the same problem with my 2023 tiger got pro lock tumblers most of bits and spring fell out. Not every explained in the instructions. I’ve been waiting since the end of April for the top box, panniers mounts and top engine bars. I’ve notice they have made some minor changes the bike since 22. Cheer’s from Canada I’ll send a picture of my top box when put it on.
A couple ago we came back from three days to the US I discovered it’s worth getting the side box liners. When we stopped at the hotel for the night I was mucking around with a backpack. We did just over 1500 km and a little over 18.5 hours in the saddle. I just ordered the screen extension, bag liners and back rest for my wife but her leg rub on the right hand bag. I had to remove them when comes with me.
I have not noticed any myself yet. Maybe I just don't ride at the rev range that apparently does that. Maybe some people are more fussy than others. I still have my 2012 1200 Tiger. To me the new engine is more exciting. Hard to describe. You need to ride one for yourself.
Hi I have just bought the 2023 GT Explorer, as for the vibration I have noticed their is some vibration on the foot pegs and the handle bars. I wouldn't consider it to be annoying, I have only covered 200miles so far so I'm still breaking it in. It also depend on what boots or gloves I'm wearing which determines how much vibration there is. To be fair what little vibration there is, just adds a bit more character to it.
Givi make them but triumph fit their own locks and pannier rack. I have the Givi 58ltr top box and you can fit that to a Givi plate for about £120 and buy a lock and lock fastener from triumph. As for the pannier rack I have a triumph rack which Triumph fitted it for me when I bought my GT Explorer.
I am loving it. It's quite different from my 2012 Tiger Explorer. It's a lot higher and a lot louder but I like it. The suspension is amazing. It also seems to have a lot more power than my old bike. I love it more and more every time I ride it. The Triumph GPS solution is however very disappointing.
@@awesomeagnihotrisvlog Hey mate. I have given up trying to get my phone working as a GPS on the bike. I've made some videos on getting the Garmin Zumo installed. There are however challenges getting the bike, the Garmin, the phone and the Sena set up properly but I believe I have that sorted out now so I will make a video on that very soon
I spoke to my Services Manager yesterday and he confirmed that the sensor under the upper mudguard is the ambient temperature sensor.

Wow. That sounds incredible. I'm very jealous.
Thanks mate. Looking at fitting a h/light protector on mine 🍻

Its the same on the BMW XR. Apparantly it better if it has some movement when sidewinds effect it. Bike is more stable.
Very clear video

Thanks for that. I'll know for next time I try something like that. I feel like an idiot for not trying that but I guessI thought it would be easier.
I was told the movement of top box mount was for cross winds. It allows a little give and stops the top box becoming a sail.
Interesting. I was told that it just helped balance the bike while turning. :)

Hi, great video. Where did you get the tank protector? Thanks
Thanks a lot mate. The tank protector is a genuine Triumph accessory that I bought from the Triumph dealer.

It also happened to me. It is a nightmare to see all the pieces of the key hole pumping out!

I honestly don't like it. On my old 2012 Tiger Explorer I added washers and tightened it down. I'll probably end up doing the same with this one.
Nice video 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
fantastičan motor

Hey mate. I just ordered it from my Triumph dealer. It is a standard accessory for the new Tiger 1200's.
Hello I have the GT Explorer. My key barrel came apart. Where you able to get a new barrel?
I didn't. Luckily I found all the parts and just put them in one at a time from the keyhole end down. @@robertbruce9367 Hey mate. Do you have the Triumph Aliminium panniers? Is it the pannier on the right that your wife is having issues with?

Where did you buy the accesoires? By the dealer or ?
Yes. At the dealer...they will charge you the same price you see on the Triumph motorcycle configurator.
Who makes the Triumph cases? Givi?
I'm not 100% sure, but I assume that Givi produces them for Triumph.
