I love your "I can do this myself" attitude. It's what makes you so successful at restoring your chateau because there are so few resources other than ingenuity and inspiration. Such as using your 3D printer to create 'plaster' moldings, and creating your new 'antique' key.
Terry, you remind me of my dad…I wouldn’t have thought of opening an intricate antique lock…to figure out how it works plus what kind of exact “key” required…I remember my dad would do the same thing (and it drove me crazy)…how I miss my dad!! I have been watching your videos everyday for the last 6 months. I decided over this holiday break I needed to binge watch all of them from the beginning. Everything is BEAUTIFUL, but I have to admit the ocd in me almost made me stop watching because of the hat rack being off center in the 400 hall. Let me just say I wanted to jump up and down when you moved the new piece of furniture in its place! I was one who commented that the piece beside the fireplace in the bedroom was way to big and that the table and chair at foot of bed was too much. AGAIN I wanted to dance a gig when you took that out and rearranged. I'm so excited to see the 400 done as I'm sure you are! The 3rd floor is amazing also!! Good luck to you for 2025!

It is always nice to see when your design and ideas come to completion. Wonderful result! Wanted to ask Terry whether he has a plan to paint the center part of the ceiling in a blue room. I think that it aught to match the walls. The gold inside looks on a screen a bit detached, like patches. If painted blue it might look more as a whole. But then it is just my opinion. Perhaps the effect in reality is different. Looking forward to seeing it all be completed. Another jewelbox of a suite.
Good to see you got the lock situation under control. I always enjoy coming home and seeing that one your videos has been posted. On a tangent, I found out recently that I have French and English nobility in my bloodline. Sharing a common ancestor with President George Washington (Colonel George Reade, Esq.), I traced the line back to Philip III "the Bold", Louis IX "the Saint", Blanch of Castile, Eleanor of England, then to Henry II of England. Gonna spend my weekend looking into each of the kings and their lives.
A locksmith can't do it and you'll need to find a specialist in France who can , but we dont know anywhere 😮.. Here I am didn't need to leave home, well done Terry, a man of many talents including specialist locksmith 🤣🤣🤣 now wheres mum?
