- The new Ark Survival Ascended is out, the MODS are immersive!!! Here is a quick guide to help you with setting up the Automated Ark system with the breakdown of every step. Also, there is a glimpse into setting up auto farming and dino egg collecting. Hope you all find this helpful and hope you enjoy.
lol The lock/unlock is to keep other players/tribes from accessing your vaults. That's why it's also a function/option for doors/gates. The pull will still work when it's locked. Don't unlock your vaults kids!!! 🤣 Also, bonus tip, if you want to disable Dino pulling for just a specific Dino, or prevent item pulling from your crafting station like me, rename structure, or Dino with an asterisk in front of the name. For instance I like to keep an Argy full of junk on it ie resources, sleeping bags, FOB structures...I want those items to stay there so instead of my Argy's name being Monster, I name it *Monster and the command console can't see it anymore while I keep Dino pulling active for all of the other Dinos. Trust, 20,000 hours on Ark. I know, I'm a deadbeat.
Thanks man, yea I should've caught that when I said it. There are a few people that have asked if there is a way to have only certain items pulled. I don't see a way to do it, but was wonder if you knew of way? Also, do you know if there is a way to automatically move meat into the troughs? I don't see a way to set that up automatically?
Unfortunately no way to only pull specific items, and also no way to set up troughs to pull food automatically. Fortunately for at least my server, PWJ, the troughs have crazy good range so I keep all 3 troughs (one for meat, one for berries, one for specialty food ie Fish eaters, veggie cake eaters, chitin eaters) centrally located near fridges. I also have a stack mod that decreases my need to maintain troughs very often so for me at least I’m blessed with auto pull not being an issue. Fortunately also 3 troughs is plenty and I have a massive area to cover.

I own all the movies on DVD and have some of the cars. I rewatch the series, maybe 3x a year. It's just so good, in my opinion. This series will never die.

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking about as I drove in to work today. Having small kids and limited play time, I found myself sorting items endless for hours and unable to actually progress and enjoy gameplan. Thank you so much for this explanation…Does this MOD work for console (PS5)? Anybody have any issues…
Haha yea, I know exactly what you mean. It's usually several days before I can even get a good recording in because I have a 4 year old in the back ground making T-Rex sounds lol. But to answer your question. There was a PS5 player that made a comment saying that it was causing his game to crash, but since then, there have been several updates, and other PS5 players that say it's working fine.
I just started playing a server thats just wiped called Ark of Revenants that has this and a few other mods but didnt fully understand it so thank you for helping

My problem is poop. The beetles pick it up and AA pulls it off of them. Then it puts it in the composter which then puts it on the beetles and round and round it goes now I have like 50000 or something crazy like that of poop in the console. The whole game lags when I try to open it now and it's all poop. It's a mess. It needs a ignore poop button for sure.
Id recommend taking the loss in efficiency and using just the AA composter and ditching the beetle. Works well enough for me as is.
Yea, I ended up getting rid of the beetles, and setting up the AA Vacuum. That way it picks it up automatically and puts it straight in the AA Compost bin and holds it until it becomes fertilizer. The beetles kind of mess up the process unfortunately.

Haha yea, I did it also. It was literally when I was just trying it out and I manually carried every single item back to the OCD vault like a dummy lol. I think it gets everyone at least once.
You can actually use the structures without the console. Well I do on my server the console just pulls everything
I had to remove this mod from my single player due to crashes. I think it’s also very annoying that everytime you get one new item you have to manually place that item and add it to the ocd list or it’s just gonna get pulled back to console. Would be simple if you could just pick resources for one saddles for another and so on
Yea, I don't know if you played the last ARK from about a year and a half ago, but there were Tek boxes that kept everything organized, and it was by far the best thing that they did. You could stack almost an unlimited amount of 1 item in a Tek box and they were small and didn't take up much space. It was very convenient and looked clean and organized. I liked those a lot better than the OCD vaults. And the crashes have been annoying! They just removed dragons, literally the day after I just tamed a hydro and fire dragon. They were glitching all over the place.

The Fridge and grill is not working for the Sort

Anyone else having issues with it not oulling crops and placing them in the veggie crate
I set mine up to go straight to the fridge. I was having trouble using the veggie crate as well, and this way seemed a lot easier.
Can you please explain the process to pull from crop plots to fridge
@MrScottydont010 basically if you want berries or crops to be pulled into your aa fridge you place whatever in that fridge open up the ocd menu inside the fridge check off all the items you want pulled into the fridge and then make sure your aa command panel is set to auto pull. Should pull all crops or berries into that fridge as they are made

Haha, we actually just got raided after several months of playing on the same server and decided to pick Ark back up. One of the guys on our team has never played Ark before, but he played Rust with us for years. He had an airlock built into his base lol. We are on a private server and all on the same team haha. But yea, my base design is terrible.

Thank you man. I appreciate the support. If you are playing PvP. Don't unlock your vaults. I only play PvE with friends, so we all leave our vaults unlocked for each other. I should have explained that in the video.
Mey man im having trouble getting the aa smithy to pull eggs from the egg box or the ocd fridge it will pull everything but the egg

This mode just updated for PS5. Now the control console does not show up in engrams. Every engram does not show up now. Cannot use this mode.
Yea, I've been playing on Xbox X and we have had a few issues. But there are updates almost everyday to correct them. Hopefully PS5 will be able to sort it out soon. Its an awesome mod to use when it wants to work right.
can u tell me is it pulling item to aa industrial cooker buged, it pulls each item except eggs 4 making kibles. i keep all items for kible in aa fridge. no hurry, answer when u can.
I'm not sure if it is bugged or if the developers just overlooked it as an item to get pulled automatically. What I ended up doing was setting my egg crate right next to my aa smithy because I couldn't get it to pull automatically. The eggs are heavy and I can only carry a few at a time, so setting them next to each other made it a little faster because I don't have to walk anywhere. Hopefully they will fix it in the future, were it will pull them automatically.

Shit really I put my egg box near my smithy so it won't pull eggs that's fine I can grab eggs it does the rest I'm cool with that
I just started put and trying to make narcotic. Noticed that the aa mortar narcotic costs a lot more than the normal mortar narc. Is it stronger or just more expensive?

What about feed troughs? Same as the fertilizer, just unlock and go?
With the AA feeding troughs, make sure you go to the dino list and edit it for new dinos that you obtain. As for the troughs automatically pulling food into it.... I'm still figuring out how to do that or if it is possible yet. As of now, it doesn't look like you can automatically set it up (which is frustrating, but hopefully soon in an update.) Hope this helps.

@@toothlesszombie You gotta start somewhere! The breakdown of how the mod works was super helpful. The mod description doesn't explain it nearly as well. So I was completely lost until I watched this.
@@jaysaddler7119 Yea, I definitely hear ya. When I was trying to figure it out for a video, I had to walk away a couple of times just because I couldn't get anything to work the way I wanted it to.
So I noticed you did not show the vacuum. So what is the vacuum for if you don't need it?
The vacuum will suck up whatever you drop within range of it and then the console will sort it based on it's settings with the OCD storage. So for example, if you are out on a meat run, you can simply drop everything out of the dino when you get back and it will all go into the vacuum and the console will sort whatever is setup for OCD. Anything else can be moved to other stations like the grinder to regain resources from all those useless stone tools or other things you harvest from kills for example.
The control console mostly does everything that I want automatically, but for example, if you were playing PvP against other players, and someone came to your base and you killed them, the vacuum would pick up everything off of their body once they were died. Also, if I was in a rush and had to get off the game quickly, I would only need to be in range of the vacuum, so if I died at my base, it would pick up everything that my body dropped.
Okay. Can you change the time frame of the sorting because it takes a long time to sort it out. My poly is half way spoiled by time it goes in the fridge.
@@michaelmcknight5057 You manually sort at any time via the console.
So if you drop organic poly, just do a manual sort after dropping it to counter this (afaik there isn't an org poly spoil timer setting you can change. I might be wrong on that and it might be affected by the global spoil timer setting).
In ASE's V2 it had a Poly converter station you could convert Org poly to Regular poly and vice versa.
Poly isn't hard to get though. Get a Frog and go into the swamp cave. Instant CP from meganura in the 20K range in a few minutes and then make regular poly.
Will the control console pull out food and berries from Dino inventory’s? Wouldn’t want them to starve. Any way to change that if so?
You can select an option that says “ don’t pull from Dino’s inventory “

Unfortunately, its all or nothing as of now. I don't see a way to set it to pull everything except for food. If you don't have a trough yet for your base, then it may be best to turn off the automatic pull.

Why the aa control pick up all ammo on the turrets ?
Hold for more options on it go to exclude structures then set everything you don't want it pulling from so turrets smithys whatever you don't want items leaving

Question I have the control console set to ignore the AA fertilizer and compost I also set into to pull from Dino's because it was pulling all the animal dung from my beetles. How do you deal with that? or should I move my dung beetles for my farm out of the range of the console?
Maybe naming your dung beetle with * infront of its name will help
I can not pull the resources to my smithy or fabricator
Make sure you have the AA Smithy and the AA Fabricator, then make sure that your Control Center and your OCD with your materials are both unlocked. Also, what game system are you playing on?

Yea, I think they did good for the most part and the mod is beneficial, it just wasn't explained very well on how to set it up.
@@toothlesszombie it's actually VERY simple to setup. I used to use it on ASE before be broke it up into separate mods for power, farming, etc in V3 and imo ruined it.
The current ASA version has issues (like crashes) but that's to be expected while patches are deployed routinely to ASA to stabilize it as it's still a new release as far as game releases go and we all know ASA was rushed out to meet financial obligations with Nitrado so expect any mod to have potential issues for at least a good 6 months.

Its called "Automated Ark". We play it on XBOX, but it is available on all platforms. However, I have had a few people say that they have been having trouble with the MOD on PS5.

Great video other then the locking part for structures thats not at all what that lock and unlock does or is used for gonna have ppl unlocking there storage an then anyone can come steal your stuff also the exclude system doesnt work all the time sometimes it ignored structures i set it to exclude other times it didnt also the pull resources is total broken even in this video at your friends base you made bullet an ended up with bullet an metal ignot that shouldnt happen i tell it i want 1x pull item requires for example 20 wood 15 stone 30 fiber ill get 14 wood 30 stone an 8 fiber i have thousands of each so its not that i dont have enough it pulls double for 1 resource so to much and half the wood required its totally broken making it harder not easier then just doing it myself because in order to get enough id have to pull resources 3-4 times to get enough wood but id have 5x to much stone an unknown amount of fiber lol i might as well just grab items myself if system is that broken there is storage box mods that already have auto pull an auto crafting bulk storage for example i put resources in there go to smithy that has nothing an craft item no pulling button required it just pulls items from bulk storage an crafts it in empty smithy an dont need to have bunch structures an tell it yes an no for everything it just works makes things easier not harder i still cant figure out how to get this mod to work as it should its beyond confusing annoying if it worked then id love it but its broken mess as of today
Yea, I was hoping that people would see that in the comments, that they should lock their vaults. We all play as friends and only PvE and I didn't even think about PvP. So hopefully people will catch that. There were a couple of structures that we had issues with, for example: when we tried to make some things in the AA Cooker, it would pull the items and then automatically create a bunch of paint, and it would let us turn it off, so we pretty much couldn't even use the cooker. I can't remember what the other one was, but their were a couple of structures that would not act right. Hopefully this video will just give a good general idea about the MOD to get people started on it, because for the most part the MOD is really helpful.
automated Ark is an old ASE mod and is actually very simple to set up. When the mod creator decided to make V3 of it and split it up all over different mods, it completely ruined it. I'm hoping that with the current version in ASA, this will not occur and it will go back to it's former fantastic functioning as ASE's V2 version of it.
Do you think there is any benefit to how it is now? Or was it completely better when it first came out?
@@toothlesszombie It was better when it first came out. I will grant that it's presently "new" with ASA and with the frequent updates and unknown issues that arise from it, it might improve but as it stands now, AA will periodically crash your game (or server) because of the frequent updates.
This is not the mod author's fault by any means and is normal in cases like this but until ASA is more stable, it will be difficult for any mod to be 100% stable.
Video looks very washed out, like the saturation is turned up way too high or something. its like a fog is over your game, the colors are off.
Yea, I'm still fine tuning my audio and my colors. I have a window right behind my computer set up, so depending on what time of day it is, then I have to go through and change a bunch of settings. I'll have a new studio in about 4 weeks where I can make all of the lighting more consistent.
I can't even download it, the install automatically cancels itself. Tried everything and curseforge says they don't know lol

@@benjaminmaysell Oh, I see. I may not be able to help you due to only have been playing on XBox, but I have heard of other PC users being able to use this MOD without any problems. This is a shot in the dark, but several players have talked about having issues by overdoing it on the number of MODs they are trying to use. We had 16 MODs when we first started, and there were so many issues and crashes that we backed down to only using 9, and that helped a lot.
@toothlesszombie it's not that it makes it crash, it just won't start any mod downloads that are any decent size like 30mb - 60mb or higher. I try to join officials that only have 1 mod and can't. Doesn't matter I started playing fallout 76 instead lol.
I hope they fix the AA Smithy. I want to test this mod but people are reporting crashes

As of now we are playing on a private server. At some point this year, we are going to create a new server where we can invite a lot of ppl that enjoy our channel. But as of now we are just keeping staying on a private server because its difficult trying to make a video when some is waiting to scoop down and grab you with an argy and drop you off a mountain lol.

Dude, you have reiterated the same thing 13 minutes now I understand that you have to use AA so it can pull resources. I understand this this is the only component you have shown us so far. What else do it does it can pull resources what else? 13:28
I have added AA to a map that I have well developed with a wall of tek storage. Is there a way to incorporate that into the AA system?
I'm not entirely sure. We did away with our tek storages and switched to only the vaults. I think that with the tek storage, you will only be able to pull from them into your control console, but I don't think you will be able to place things in them automatically. But I'm not completely sure.
