Enrique had a 810 OPS in the final 3 months. Which he credits to getting his eyes fixed. He also had an 808 OPS in the playoffs. The fact this is even a discussion is crazy considering he’s got two titles with the team and is considered a top 5 hitter in the playoffs for the last 35 years. 278 AVG 15 HR is way better than Mookie with 259 AVG 8 HR. When the lights get bright everything slows down for him

Something isn’t right here. I thought resigning Kike was a foregone conclusion. I’ll trust both parties do the right thing. 💯

@ Me too, bringing back CT3 simply because of how much he has left on his contract for one more season would be something that the angels would do not the Dodgers

@ Also the value he brings to the clubhouse in terms of chemistry is enormous.

Two weeks until pitchers and catchers report, and we can finally say baseball is back, and get this season started!
Am I the only one who thinks the words “pitchers and catchers report” have magic in them? It makes the season feel like an epic quest.

Any agent will say their player has interest from the dodgers just to drum up some hype and headlines

    5:00
    Yates Saves totals by year:
    2014-1
    2015-0
    2016-0
    2017-1
    2018-12
    2019-41 (1.19 ERA)
    2020-2
    2021-DNP
    2022-0
    2023-5
    2024-33 (1.17 ERA)
He is NOT one of three relievers in MLB history to have multiple 40+ Saves seasons with an ERA under 1.25.
The first time I heard Jeff say this, I assumed he misspoke and meant 30+ Saves.
Now he’s doubled down on this incorrect stat, so I’m thinking he read it somewhere and didn’t bother verifying it.
Regardless of the reason, he should probably stop repeating it.
Keep up the good work! Go Blue!

Great catch. It’s 40 APPEARANCES. C/O Fangraphs for the stat that I butchered

@ No worries. I knew that he was one of three MLB pitchers to do something, as you do your homework.

Gagné was terrible as a starter and flourished as a closer. He went from a 5+ ERA guy to a 83 consecutive saves guy

He also took PEDs, like Manny. I'm not proud of that era in Dodger history. It was a mirage. Thank God it's all over and we're in the glory days. McCourt is just a memory (except for the parking lot).

Keeks is the playoff sparkplug the team needs. Whenever the Dodgers have gone far in the playoffs there he was. Michael Grove should be the number one to ship out he's not good and hasn't given the club any good results whenever he's been up. They drop kicked him as soon as they could when they advanced into the next round remember? He also has the most trade value out of everyone you listed. Theres no need to hoard someone who isnt valuable on the field

Considering Asian culture, having Kim spend time in the minors could cause him to lose face, so I'm expecting him to break camp on the 26-man roster. Whether he stays there is a slightly different question.

I’m a die hard dodger fan but let’s not sleep on the Phillies rotation they look stacked too. The “ not even close “ comment about our rotation is a bit to much I feel like the Phillies have a strong 5

    • @jeffspiegel
      @jeffspiegel 20 часов назад +1

My guess is if you stacked all of the starters up from both teams that the Dodgers would have five of the best seven. Top two’s are comparable, but Dodgers depth blows it out of the water IMO
