I like these, I don't have as many dance bands from Europe in my collection. BTW, the sound is very good too.

Three Little Times, Bert Ambrose with Sam Browne. I have been looking for this for years. You have made me very, very happy, this is one of their finest arrangements, so very sweet.

Super Stuff, ....my Dad, William Horace Perrott was the drummer in the Cavendish Dance Band, winners of the 1932 All England Dance Champioship held at Nottingham Palais de Danse on Friday, April 15th 1932 You have inspired to find that old 78 and play to my 16 year old daughter Emily !!

Is that "Limehouse Blues"? The discography names P. Packhard as drummer??

I just have the press cuttings of the event, with his name on and a mention on his companies magazine. Let me dig out the 78 if I can find it in the loft !!

I certainly agree with you re Ambrose and Sam Browne, MrGoto7734. In my view, they were second only to Ray Noble and Al Bowlly (or any of Lew Stone, Roy Fox combinations). How good was Al as a band singer - peerless in any generation.

Excellent transcriptions, reproducing the music as it would have sounded originally on superior gramophones or radio. You must have exceptionally clean 78 r .p .m copies. I love all your selection here, although I prefer my version of "A Bungalow, a Piccolo and You from "Lou Selwyn" (actually Nat Star) on a 4-in-1 record from Sterno.

I kissed you one little time, I kissed you two little times, I kissed you three times and the third time was the best to me.
I squeezed you one little time, I squeezed you two little times, I squeezed you three times and I held you closely pressed to me.
I gazed into your eyes and saw the love light burning, beneath those southern skies it filled me with a yearning.
I asked you one little time, I asked you two little times, I asked you three times and the third time you said yes to me! ♥ ♥ ♥

Bluebird song-vocalist is Cavan O,Connor I think-one of his best 78,s as his later Irish recordings post 1935 became rather schmaltzy and not half as good as his great 1928-32 recordings.
