Diogones and the cynics were world negaters like the Christian’s but the cynics offered nothing . JD Crossan explains this .
The Nag Hammadi documents merely reveal further Piso writings

One (for me) new piece of info about the Osiris cult as the inspiration for the Eucharist's origin although I've read it in an RC Vatican Biblical Bulletin on it; of course, a historical Jesus, a Jew, could not pronounce such words "to eat or drink his blood" (Leviticus 17:10_14, etc). Still, it only proves that there was a historical man, who was executed and was worshipped as alive for some Reason. To doubt is a logical anti-S.Holmes's nonsense (or conspiracy theories by (fancy) hidden variables of QM/Quantum Mechanics).
Except his Jewish followers would never have worshipped him as alive after he got whacked by the Romans. Instead they would have kept his teachings alive, as Mara Bar Serapion said they did.
@@edwardmiessner6502 keeping his teaching alive and at the same time worshipping the Temple thieves and Cesar as "god and savior"? You contradict yourself!
Eleazar was that man. He is satirized as Lazarus in the NT.

Obviously all copied from others.
That is called the copycat theory . does not hold up under scrutiny .
no proof of being a copycat.
How would men prove their circumcision?😂
My ancestors started circumcision it's on the wall go back and look
'Scuse me while I whip this out.
There were never Jewish Christians.
sure thing pal
You must be joking? The first Christians were Jews,
They were not called Christians, the Followers of the Way are known today as the Ebionites & Nazarenes but Acts called them judaizers.
I tend to think the same. We know the Jewish Scriptures were first being translated into Greek as far back as the 3rd century BCE, and were a curiosity among the scholars centered around the library of Alexandria. As other scriptural books--especially the prophetic ones--began to be translated more gentiles were taking an interest in the Jewish Monotheistic concept of God. Some of these gentiles eventually were deemed "God Fearers," either partially or fully embracing Judaism. By the time Jesus as the "Christos" concept rolled around there was a division between the partially and fully Jewish-type of gentile Christians; some following the Pauline reasoning of worship, that circumcision and dietary laws were no longer applicable in the new covenant of Christ; and those more fully Judaized Christians following the Torah-observant teachings of either Peter or James. Basically, I believe the so-called Jewish-Christians (those identified as Ebionites or Nazoreans by the early Church fathers) were not speaking of ethnic-based Jews, but rather to the gentile converts to Judaism. The Church Fathers labelled them as Heretics because they didn't see them as Christians, but rather as gentiles that became Jewish.
@@johnprater1598 well said. My question is why would any self respecting Jew be a Christian? The fictional Roman characters, Jesus, the Apostles, Paul, were designed as Jews, and that's why these fake Jewish characters are allowed to get away with their vitriolic anti Semitism.
No main stream scholar gives any creedance to Price. 99.9% of the worlds scholars disagree with his wacky claims.
These scholars did, gave audience. Having read and loved their book, I found Price's ventures to fit quite appropriately, they must have as well.
Have you ever considered them yourself, in context, and with a degree of open-mindedness? We often choose our camp by its comforts, which can be hard and lonely, full of pestilence, when it's untamed. ❤️🌎🙏🏻
It's only because he isn't liberal he connects dots quite good actually.
@@Johnathan909309 Price is a poor or even a dishonest author. I could cite several examples where he is either ignorant or just fibbing. Ask him why there is no Roman or Jewish records of Jesus in the first half of the 1st century. Ask him if we have no evidence of Nazareth in the first century. Real scholars laugh at him
This statement is patently untrue, the only truth to it is the scorn of contemporary scholars, who discount these points only because they know where their bread is buttered.
@@tstone0 #1 Price claims Jesus did not exist during the first half of the 1st century because the records from Rome or Jerusalem do not mention him. #2 Price says that the town of Nazareth did not exist in the 1st century. Therefore Jesus could not have been born there. Why are #1 and #2 deceptions by Price? Yes 99% of the worlds scholars reject Price's theory because he is either very ignorant or lying.
