I like the aggressiveness. Love is sometimes portrayed delicately, but this being Love's Sorrow in contrary to Love's Joy, it portrays the flurry of emotions. The delicate parts express happy memories of love, while the aggressive parts could depict anger. Then there's the out of place notes that are sprinkled in (Similar style to Liszt), and I believe these represent confusion and desperation. In general, this piece is less a traditional love song and more so intended to bring to mind the concept of loss and the tangle of emotions included in grieving.
I disagree to be honest. I think he does an AMAZING job because in most People focus most on the Love part but i think this piece is supposed to be more about the Sorrow part. Sorrow isnt Just being sad. Its also about being upset and not knowing how to deal with it so it results in anger and Aggression. At least... Thats how i see it

He sounds a little aggressive in some passages for a love song (it has to transmit love) but the tempo is ok in my opinion

too aggressive, I know it's Rachmaninoff but still. You should always maintain that melancholic, longing envelope around each phrase!
