Hey Wayne been following this build from day one. I am close to the end and noticed on stage 110 , when installing the top side panels, the instructions say "use only the top and bottom screw, the 2 central screws are not used at this time". This makes it easier to install the stickers later which based on the pictures, looks like that's what they did. Makes for a "cleaner look" as the stickers do not have to be applied over the screws. However I noticed that you did use the screws in the central part. Did I miss something along the way in the instructions or did you just decide to install these central screws anyway.

The bus looks amazing. It is a pity that they don't suply the passengers anymore. they added a bit more realism to the bus, they even had a clippy on the back. A great build with lots of details,
There are no visible screws or rivets on the exterior of the real bus. What a shame the model relies so heavily on these. It completely undermines the realism they've strived for in so many other ways. Surely they could have come up with an alternative - hidden screws or clip/glue together.
The full size Routemaster is held together with hundreds of rivets, with screws used on the panels below the lower deck windows. So that damaged panels could be changed quickly without the need for a skilled coachmaker. There are many bits that could have been improved such as the platform kick plate screws way too large. And also the roof joins. But overall I think glued panels would eventually fall off. The finished model is pretty heavy, and does look good.
Hi Wayne, I love this bus BUT my own feelings are it would've been better if they made the outer panels push fit with scale rivets as those screws are not helping the overall effect, still love to have one 👍🇦🇺
