The" lists" should be for if you have similar musical tastes, this is what the demoist found cool.It gives the guys who are compensated( if only being sent free product to demo) an opportunity to point out highlights, without criticizing other products.It's a sticky wicket, the only way around being to buy all the gear in question, or only review what you like, - which both limits options and doesn't necessarily endear you to the makers.Obviously, if they send you samples, and they never get a demo out of it, there's gonna be a problem eventually. This is also why many demos are less than useless; the final product can be manipulated in any number of ways to make it sound good, and all the reviewer has to do is lie by omission. Farm Pedals is always worth checking out; they inherited some do no wrong mojo from somewhere.. The Buzzaround circuit is the underappreciated bomb.The best part is that it was apparently designed around unwanted, leftover parts back when the circuit race was on.The red headed step child's revenge.
@@DemosInTheDark Hmm,- maybe, that has been suggested by some, but I thought I was merely pointing out the pitfalls of semi endorsed reviews.You do tend to notice many avoid saying anything critical, and use some fairly dubious compliments, and how many times do you read that most could not achieve any like results without adding other effects, or making some extreme adjustments?Probably any time you use quotation marks, it can be taken as snarky, but I was not intending that here; to the contrary, I find the choices and presentation exceptional,- and unusual in that reqaurd. I do firmly find that most reviews are just sales pitches for equipment that is nothing special, or even mediocre, edited and produced,- (and sometimes just playing certain clips, and omitting other's is all it takes) to move product, to the mutual benefit of manufacturers and presenter.Nothing necessarily wrong with that, as long as the listener/ buyer is aware. This will be a site that, in the future, I look to for useful information.Thanks.
i'm certainly not offended. your objective analysis is always welcome! i probably should've stated that. and, for the most part, you're not wrong. i do amplify, or advertise, but i don't "review" gear. the, perhaps, "critical" part of the process is the part you don't see, where i decide what projects i'd like to tackle and which ones i pass on. thanks for your continued ruminations!

Good to see some SpaceMan swag getting a run. I didn’t try the Polaris, but I did purchase a run of the limited edition Spaceman harmonic boost and I’ve enjoyed it....I would’ve found a place for some Red Pander or Chase Bliss, but perhaps you didn’t try their new stuff?

I'm glad ZOIA is there.. To me ZOIA is the most unique pedal in yearsssssssssss. Sure it has your bread and butter things too it, but the love for ZOIA is making weird things that bread and butter stuff can't do and that's what I think the market should head toward. Too many normal and boring delays, chorus, flangers out there...
