Hi! I am Brian Bower. I am a rock and metal enthusiast who loves to play guitar, make videos and talk! I have been playing guitar consistently since I was 15 years old. I love talking about gear, playing, whatever. I mainly have been playing Ibanez guitars for the better part of 15 years. Some of my favorite acts are Rush, The Tragically Hip, Steve Vai, King Diamond, Textures, Yngwie Malmsteen, Hammerfall, Pyramaze, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Beyond Creation and many others. Though I'd love it a little more if the 6 string had a 26.5" scale to make it handle tuning to B a little more solid.
@@dannyboyblue1111 I know they make a baritone with a 27 inch scale but not in natural. You're not the first person I have heard say something like this in regard to 6 strings when the 7 string model has a larger scale. For me personally, it was the fact that it is 25.5 inches that I liked as I just want it for standard tuning (my other guitar for this has a trem). I love the evertune too.

The guitar that I immediately connected with is my Washburn HB-35. I played it in my local shop. It took me about 6 months to save up for it, but I went in the shop once a week to played it until I had the money to buy it LOL
You are so lucky that it didn't sell before you saved the money up.
@@BrianBower Every time I went in the shop I was hoping it would still be there. The shop owner knew what I was doing so I think he was probably holding it for me. He's a really cool dude.
@@jasonbaker5430 He sounds like a really good dude. I haven't gone to a store and bought a guitar in years. Always second hand or online. I almost bought a mini Taylor last year. I still might at some point.

Would you recommend solar or Ibanez for starter?
Is it easy to play?
Well as much as both of them are good, likely you won't be able to try a Solar in a store. For a beginner, I would recommend just going to the store and trying out many of them. This guitar is pretty expensive for a beginner. If you were to start on a solar, get a 2 series with a fixed bridge!

I have number 33 of 300 of this one. I absolutely love it. Out of the 4 Solar I owned this one couldnt be any better. I do love my Blue Poplar Burl S1.6 but this one with the Evertune is on a different level
I have 9 of 100. My 7 is have 3 or 300
@@BrianBower my blue S1.6 was 1 of 100. It really doesn't mean anything but I felt like I won something. I got some black winter pickups to install but I'm kinda digging the duncan solar
@@clintn6677 That is pretty friggin cool though. It is a win. I like the Duncan Solar's. Best stock pickups I have had in a guitar.

What’s the scale length of the 6 string? Also the scale length of the 7 string
Scale length of the 7 is 26.5 inches and the 6 is 25.5 inches. They are different beasts. I think for the 7, it makes a lot of sense to have the longer scale to keep tightness in those low notes.
I want that guitar, but those later chords did hurt a little.

Hi, I'm planning in getting the exact same one, same colour. Last time I played an electric guitar was over 20 years ago, yeah, I'm that old. It was a Hyundai guitar hehe, really cheap, really rubbish, but it was good fun to play, also really crap amp haha. I don't play that much now, but I'd like a guitar mostly for metal but would also like to play some clean tones, arpeggio style stuff etc and as far as I can see it sounds awesome. Also, I don't have much time to play, maybe 30 mins a day and wouldn't like to waste time having to tune the guitar, so I think I'll go for the ever tune. Anyway, thanks for the videos! By the way, how does the neck compare to an Ibanez for shredding I mean? Also, how about rock sounds, I know it's more of a metal guitar, but would you like it to play rock? I could ask loads of questions... thanks for the videos!
Hi Raul! Hyundai made a guitar??? Never knew this. That is cool. I really need to post some more with this guitar that is not metal as I can tell you for sure that it can do rock n roll just great. I was just playing it only with cleans and it does that great too. I should do a clean tone video for you and the channel asap. Comparing to an Ibanez is a great question too. I question this a lot. The neck here is a bit more round compared to the wizard necks. However it plays just as good if not better. Jumbo frets help a lot. This is somewhere between Ibanez and ESP and it is effortless.

I have finally figured out who this is! I butchered Bark at the Moon as I missed the pinch harmonic lol but I am honest and leave the mistakes in. I have to say I really like how good this guitar sounds for cleans and high gain playing.
Brian B haha! Ya you caught me. It’s Pat! Lol. That is definitely my favorite finish of all the Solar guitars. It’s beautiful. I didn’t even notice the missed pinch harmonic. Slight mistakes are the spice of life! Lol

haha there are plenty of good ones. Keep scale length preferences in mind and try some out before buying!

Thats exactly what I used to say..UNTIL, John God Petrucci alternate the hell out of it live...And if God does, I do also.....Fuck this JH down picking..it almost ripped my arm at some point :)
