A new video where I go into the world and sample something to make music with. This time I went to an Arcade Hall to record samples with SOMA Ether. This is a device with which you can listen to electromagnetic fields. The sounds coming out of it are really great and an Arcade hall is downright epic because of all the lights and machinery. I used the samples in an offbeat techno track which I perform after the recording process.

Damn, those are some cool sounds. Funny, I have literally all the same gear as you, but I just don't seem to get out there and catch samples. But you are inspiring me to get off my ass, hahaha. As always, your video and skills are amazing. You seem to be getting a lot more enjoyment out of your Octatrack lately. Are you preferring it over your usual Digitakt+Digitone setup?
Thank you :) yeah definitely start doing that more. It's so much fun. Worth the time investment. Regarding octa: i do really like it but the DT/DN combination is it for me if I really had to choose. Octatrack is such a great experimentation box though

Really nice Track and sound design but is it me or is the track too much compressed? Or maybe too much sidecahin ducking?
Thanks! The sidechaining is only on the bassline and is deliberately done to make the track flow and groove. It's really amp volume modulation with an inverted exponential wave LFO.
