Miracles do happen even today. Our school sent group of teachers. Teachers were sent two by two to visit students houses to encourage and pray for them. I and another teacher who was non-believer went door to door praying and encouraging. At the end of the day my companion invited me to her house. She said, "ma'am you have been praying the whole day for the students, would you mind praying for me. For many years I have been praying to to conceive a child. " With tears of joy I placed my hand on hers and cried to the Lord. Months passed she left the private school as she got government job addition to it she conceived. She told about her miracle to her friends.
Am glad to see people of God coming home.It's my prayer that we keep track of the newly converted saints till they are able to stand on their own. God bless us brethren.

Glad to see Cathy also, and had you not introduced her, I wouldn't have recognized her.... Her words often resonate in my mind about Child Guidance...that it should have been entitled Parental Guidance... A well ordered family, to God's glory. Finally able to return to the US next month, after nearly three years absence. There is a work everywhere for everyone. I don't have a clue where the Lord will lead next. For the past few years I've traveled to serve in whatever way needed, except electrical... I was sitting in the truck one day praying to be used, stating that I was willing to do anything. Soon thereafter I was invited to accompany a group of students on a mission trip in the Dominican Republic. One of the tasks was to locate a sewer line and unclog it. With my hands in the "honey", I heard the thought, "You did say anything, David." There is a parallel here... Holy Hands seeking, finding and reaching down into sewer of this world for me...reeking, offensive me. Repeated trips led me to question the Lord as to why I was doing this...was it for His glory, or to receive accolades. If the latter, I wanted to bow out. Then came the day I was enroute to the dump, when my phone rang. A voice asked, "Are you the one who paints murals?" I was a bit taken back, for I had not painted since retiring three years previous. Next he asked if I would be willing to go to Bangkok to paint a mural for Jesus For Asia. Multiple assignments later, found me under lockdown in the Philippines. I had jumped through all the hoops and booked passage homes when I became ill from an infected insect bite. So I continued to supply rice for widows, helping in church construction and supplying SOP books for distribution. I need to go to to the VA for long neglected tests and treatment. Afterwards, Lord willing, I'll load my easel and be off with an ample quantity of literature to... I don't know where, or if I am running before the Lord, but of consequence, I am a nomad....it's a long innoble saga, as you may well guess. A few days ago, during devotion with my landlady, I reflected on how God had allowed me to meet many of the pioneers of modern evangelism...some of whom had personally known EGW...I mentioned that sitting in Joe Crews' office was like sitting at the feet of Jesus. Working for Amazing Facts was my pinnacle before falling into alcoholism. It's been a long road, and I pray to have one star in my crown. In telling this, I'm asking for your prayers for the Lord's guidance. Looking forward to seeing your brilliant crown, and all you have led to Christ.

I have this very awesome experience about answered prayer. I live in Honolulu, Hawaii and one day we went to the beach. My two niece was in the water and they discovered and Eel under a rock. To make the story short I decided to take the Eel home. We just filled the bucket with water from the ocean and kept the Eel there. My kids and myself search online on how to take care of the eel and ask the question if this eel would survive in fresh water and the answer we get says NO. First day the eel still alive. today is the 3rd day December 8, 2020. I check the eel this morning before I went to work and the eel was not doing too well, it was dying. I prayed and I said to God, God please don't let the eel die. If you allow this eel to survive I will return it back to the ocean. I received a call from my wife saying the eel is on the ground instead of inside the bucket and at that moment my heart broke. I killed one of God's creation. I asked my son to pick up the eel and put it back in the water. Not even 30 seconds later my wife called me and said " The eel is alive and it want to jump out of the bucket. I immediately asked my wife to drive to the beach and return the eel back to ocean. I find that amazing. I don't know long that eel is out of the water and yet it was still alive. Although my son told me that the eel was not looking really good when he put it back in the water but I have faith the with God's grace that eel will survive.
Miracles happen in my life on a regular basis. I really believe it when God says ask and you shall receive. He provides for my needs all the time. But beware...I asked God to win the lottery for decades and it never happened. Now I realize that God was protecting me from myself. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich person to go to Heaven. God wants me in Heaven! Praise Jesus I did not win the lottery. I was too young back then to understand the true nature of greed and attachment to things that keep us away from God. Bless you all who read this with understanding and wisdom that I have been given 🙏
I messed up my life badly !! I am a very rotten habitual sinner and I do not deserve to go to Heaven !! I deserve to go to Hell after I die !! Nobody deserves to go to Heaven and reign with Jesus Christ in Heaven in glory forever !! I am wicked just like everyone else !! I need Jesus Christ to come and take over my heart !! Beth a mass of Jewish people believed that if you was rich you was blessed by GOD and if you was poor you was accursed so GOD in this parable took a rich man and put him in hell and put the poor man in heaven to dispel that belief.

Why in other churches this practice is abandoned?

I immediately asked my wife to drive to the beach and return the eel back to ocean. I find that amazing. I don't know long that eel is out of the water and yet it was still alive. Although my son told me that the eel was not looking really good when he put it back in the water but I have faith the with God's grace that eel will survive.

Miracles happen in my life on a regular basis. I really believe it when God says ask and you shall receive. He provides for my needs all the time. But beware...I asked God to win the lottery for decades and it never happened. Now I realize that God was protecting me from myself. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich person to go to Heaven. God wants me in Heaven! Praise Jesus I did not win the lottery. I was too young back then to understand the true nature of greed and attachment to things that keep us away from God. Bless you all who read this with understanding and wisdom that I have been given 🙏

I messed up my life badly !! I am a very rotten habitual sinner and I do not deserve to go to Heaven !! I deserve to go to Hell after I die !! Nobody deserves to go to Heaven and reign with Jesus Christ in Heaven in glory forever !! I am wicked just like everyone else !! I need Jesus Christ to come and take over my heart !! Pastor Doug, thank you for the sermon. Would appreciate a sermon clarifying why Jesus told the parable about the rich man and Lazerus in heaven and hell. I'm confused why Jesus told this story, yet referred to death as "sleep," until the His return.

Beth a mass of Jewish people believed that if you was rich you was blessed by GOD and if you was poor you was accursed so GOD in this parable took a rich man and put him in hell and put the poor man in heaven to dispel that belief.

I have a question: why don't we practice anymore the profession of faith before baptism? In some of our SDA churches, the baptizing pastor asks the baptism candidate several questions before the witnesses .and the questions are about our fundamental believes (doctrines). Why in other churches this practice is abandoned?
