People have used them high-tops to create pop-tops like Westfalia's - Did that thing have swing out side doors instead of the slider?, It was an Astro? If so consider getting that top and them side doors
That conversion was an older express van I think I read 2002 on the window. A DIY pop top would be pretty sweet but for now the low roof Astro is about as big as I would go. Maybe I'm still in the honeymoon faze over 2 years in but the Astro still feels big on the inside to me, coming form a short wheel base pontiac montana which was tiny. With the way the fuel prices are in Canada the name of the game is keep the wind resistance and the weight down😅
