  • Join me as I build my FIRST EVER gaming PC! The process was stressful and nerve-wracking but also wholly rewarding. I got everything for under $1,400 (not including the decorations). I got a few items used and got a cheap keyboard/mouse and monitor because I didn't need them to be fancy for my personal needs. Building a PC is a very personal/unique experience for each person making one, so do your research and decide what will be best for you!

      It’s a really good base level budget mic! There are RUclips videos that walk you through what type of filters to put on it in OBS to make it sound even better but it is overall on the lower end in terms of sound quality. It’s perfect for me for now and fit in my budget really well, but I am certainly looking to upgrade it in the future. But I still love this one!

      @j3nnacat  Год назад +1

      Thank you!! And you’re right it does match the Barbie Movie! And I went with the monitor I did because I did not have the budget to get anything better and I’m mostly using the computer for streaming and monitoring my stream while playing my video games on the TV so I really don’t need a better monitor for a good while. I did a ton of research so I knew what I was doing when choosing this monitor. For my needs, it’s perfect

    • @j3nnacat
      @j3nnacat  Год назад

      Hello! I'm so excited for your PC journey! Definitely watch the videos I linked above because they were what I watched on repeat for the weeks leading up to building mine.
      Things to keep in mind: it's okay to make mistakes (I certainly did) and you may have to redo a few things here and there. But it will be okay! I had a few hurdles that I didn't think I'd get past (the memory cards not locking into place because I didn't realize just how hard I had to push them down while still being careful, plugging everything into my motherboard was a nightmare, and windows 11 didn't easily install for me and I spent a few hours researching several different issues that was making it so it wouldn't install) but all of those hurdles I overcame! I just kept researching more videos for each problem as it arose.
      Depending on your PC size, at least 6 fans seem to be ideal. 3 for intake of air and 3 for exhaust. Watch a few videos dedicated to fan placement and you should be golden.
      Also, if you are on a tight budget, some items are okay to get used. I got my CPU, CPU cooler, graphics card, and keyboard/mouse either "used- good" or "used-like new" off Amazon. Only get used items if you trust the retailer selling them!
      I was on a tight-ish budget so I got a cheap keyboard/mouse and cheap monitor which I know are things that people prefer to spend more money on so keep in mind your personal needs and preferences! I didn't need fancy any of those things so that's why I went with the cheaper options.
      I really didn't think I'd be successful in making mine but as you can see, it worked! And now I stream off it and record all my RUclips videos on it! So I believe you will be just as successful!
      Ps. I'm glad you like my cats! They clearly want to be apart of everything I do lol

    • @j3nnacat
      @j3nnacat  Год назад

      Oh! And if you don't know about pcpartpicker.com definitely check it out! It helps you create a list of all the items you will need and tells you if anything won't be compatible with the other! It also gives you links to all the retailers that sell each item and for how much so you can see which place sells it for cheapest!

    • @j3nnacat
      @j3nnacat  6 месяцев назад +1

      Why is that dangerous? Every PC build video I saw they were building on a mousepad, as for carpets, not everyone can build in a room that doesn’t have carpet and if the concern is about static, I was very careful about that. And not sure what cats have to do with anything
