One important part of ceramics is recycling clay scraps. Once they're dry like the scraps in this short, they can be rehydrated and made back into clay that can be used for throwing. Here's a look at the first part of the process (this one's especially for the little weirdos out there, like me, that love some ASMR-type sounds).
