Can you do focus bracketing with the Sony with flash? If so be good to give a tutorial on this. As I have a new Sony camera coming and got my eye on the same Sony macro lens too 😊
The Sony A6700 and I think the A7R V have focus bracketing. However I discovered that you can not use the focus bracketing with live view off which makes it very hard to focus unless you have an external light, so its pretty much useless for macro unless you are in the studio with lights or in a very bright situation.
Hey Stewart. Love your channel and got excited to see you shooting with the same rig as me. Very disappointed to see at the end of the video that you dismissed the A1. Would really like to hear why you preferred the Olympus. Was it the price of the Sony? I've been using it for 3 years now and absolutely love it. I have it coupled with the Sigma 105mm DG DN Macro and Sony 200-600, which is a beast of a lens for the money...
For macro, and we are talking just macro… the Sony A1 is not the best choice. For the price there are much better systems you can buy, like the OM Systems OM1 mk2. That’s the reason my friend has switched from Sony to OM Systems. The A1 doesn’t even have in body focus stacking. I do like Sony, just not the best choice for macro photography.

For dragons the OM 1 Mk II with the 300mm f4 is excellent .So is the R7 with the 100 -500mm if you get a chance to try .

The Sony can’t do focus bracketing at all, no option.
@@StewartWoodArt ok thanks the one I'm ordering can I'm getting the A7Cii surprised the more expensive A1 does not have it.
Same here, but it’s not designed for macro. A great all round camera.

Make a video for wildlife photography
I would love to but I don't have the gear for it, the gear in this video was borrowed before being sold.
Thank you

I cant find the Neewer clip on lens anywhere for 90mm :/
Just search for macro on the website, you’ll find it.
@@StewartWoodArt thanks, did you use this one? 55-72mm
I was using the Raynox adapter but that one should work.

@@fjuraa If you're talking about the Sony 90mm macro f2.8, it should be the 62mm thread diameter.
Sensor size has no bearing on magnification.
