Its may all time favorite. Im from Oklahoma and never had sausage stuffing until I moved north. First time was 3 years ago and I had some again this last Christmas. Its addicting 🤤
I’ve looked all over for this recipe my mom always made this for the holidays this is the first with out and of course she didn’t write it down of course 😊thank you so much .
Thanks for the upload! I will definitely be making this today for my Thanksgiving dinner. I just prefer not stuffing it in turkey, so I'll make it as a casserole!
I do it the same way and I thought it was the way to be done lol but she said normally it's not the way people cut onion but I'm over here like saying I do I do haha
Man oh Man I love stuffing and cannot wait to make some homemade for the holidays, though I'm OK to have it sooner. I add some grated carrot to my stuffing along wit a bunch of Bells brand poultry seasoning and a little fresh nutmeg. Nom, nom, nom ... your turkey looked amazing as did the rest of your dinner. Thanks for sharing the recipe with us ... I'm going to try your recipe for sure.
Omg thanks! My mom got upset and almost canceled thanksgiving because of the stuffing until I pulled out the same bag and four boxs of stuffing and sent two and a half hours making it all! I just finished! Didn’t add meat though because no one defrosted any? No matter thanks for teaching me!
Happy Holidays! I just watched this, very informative, I plan on making apple and sausage stuffing, my son can't get enough of homemade food during the holidays! I love to cook and watch cooking shows etc on computer, thanks so much, it looked wonderful!!
Chef's tip: Don't push your chopped up vegetables across the cutting board with the blade of your knife. Push them over with the spine of the knife. You will quickly dull your blade otherwise.
My blades are high carbon steel how will pushing food (scraping with the cutting blade) quickly dull them on a relatively soft wood surface? Is your cutting surface stone? That could make a difference.
I have celery salt and bell peppers and carrots, should be good gonna do some green beans separate…. Just gonna do boxes stuffing also adding potatoes…
@@50shadesofmom awesome!!! I did sausage and potatoes ( I boiled diced potatoes) then I combined that with 1 1/2 boxes of stove top stuffing and 3 slices of garlic toast, I sautéed some bell pepper, onion, peas and carrots, celery salt, garlic, salt and pepper, paprika, Italian seasoning mixed that in my bowl with 1 1/2 cups of chicken broth, I took half my mixture out and put it in my buttered casserole dish and added a egg and another egg to the other half then put it all together and baked it 25 min 350 then I put a little mozzarella on top! So so good made a lot!!
I LOVE THANKSGIVING 🦃 I LOVE THE TRADITIONAL THANKSGIVING MEAL 🥘 AND MY MOST FAVORITE OF ALL IS THE STUFFING 😋 YOUR STUFFING MY FRIEND LOOKS SO DELICIOUS 😋 I DEFINITELY WONT BE WAITING FOR THANKSGIVING IM PUTTING THIS ON THE MENU THIS SUNDAY THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS SHARING WHOLESOME DELICIOUSNESS 😋 LOVE YOU 😘
That is very similar to my mom's sausage stuffing recipe. She used cream of celery soup instead of the broth. I instead of the celery too. I can't remember. In those days I didn't eat stuffing. I do now though, but I am more of a bread and fruit stuffing person. I do make the sausage stuffing for the kids and its more like yours than my mom's . Yours looks better though. I think so anyway.
50 Shades of Mom it's just 🍞 with poultry seasoning, butter, broth, apples and dried cranberries. You can use the pre seasoned bread croutons like the kind you use in yours or dry your own 🍞 a few days before. I used the pepperidge farms. My mother tore loaves of 🍞 open and let the sit and get hard I am not giving you measurements because it depends on the size of your bird and how dry or moist you like it. I like mine outside of the bird. My older son liked it inside. My younger 2 like it outside. Inside I made it more dry because of the bird juices. Outside more moist. It's great with pretty much anything, even fried up in the pan as patties the next day or even as dumplings in a soup. My mom used them both ways with my stuffing. I tend to make it in giant batches and freeze it for later when I made croquettes with some of the 🦃 leftovers. Let me know if you try it.
OMG girl, that looked sooo good! I work at Walmart in New Albany Indiana as a cashier and today some customers bought fall scented candles. I had to smell them. I am so ready for fall and holiday time! Love your vlogs!!!!
Not crazy about sausage. My wife does not like pork. I do it like this except I leave out the sausage. I also use half a bag of cornbread and half bag of herb stuffing. Plus two beaten eggs to bind
Unless you really like that store sausage (which I hate) try buying ground pork (or grind pork butt yourself) and season it like you want. Basic Polish sausage uses salt, pepper, garlic, marjoram. Add or substitute other spices as you like. You won't buy Jimmy Dean's again.
Stuffing really goes with everything, this is a keeper!
My third year making this one. It’s a favorite in my family, specially with those who claimed to not like stuffing.
This is kind of how I make mine except I add diced apple and chicken broth instead of water! So yummy!!
Oh I also add sausage too!!
Me too yummy

Thanks for the upload! I will definitely be making this today for my Thanksgiving dinner. I just prefer not stuffing it in turkey, so I'll make it as a casserole!
I watched your stuffing recipe and this is how Mother made hers but used small amount of ground beef and cooked giblets ground up including neck meat.

How neat!!! I dice onions the same as you!!! No one else I know does that! I’m so tickled!!! lol
I do it the same way and I thought it was the way to be done lol but she said normally it's not the way people cut onion but I'm over here like saying I do I do haha
Lots of people including myself dice onion like this. Quite common actually.

Happy Holidays! I just watched this, very informative, I plan on making apple and sausage stuffing, my son can't get enough of homemade food during the holidays! I love to cook and watch cooking shows etc on computer, thanks so much, it looked wonderful!!
Hi 👋 your stuffing looked delicious 😋 but could it be baked in a casserole dish in stead of stuffing the Turkey?
Chef's tip:
Don't push your chopped up vegetables across the cutting board with the blade of your knife. Push them over with the spine of the knife. You will quickly dull your blade otherwise.
That drives me crazy when people and chefs do that!!!!
My blades are high carbon steel how will pushing food (scraping with the cutting blade) quickly dull them on a relatively soft wood surface? Is your cutting surface stone? That could make a difference.
Love this😮
It sounds super yummy! Great video as always. Thanks for sharing with us!
Sounds yummy....
Looks delicious
Those ingrediants are in my families stuffing, old school but delish
Love fall, looks great
Making this tonight!!! Good summer meal too!! I think!! Lol
I have celery salt and bell peppers and carrots, should be good gonna do some green beans separate…. Just gonna do boxes stuffing also adding potatoes…
Probably add garlic toast too…
Not doing the turkey, lol
How was it?

That looked so good!! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Looks good, I have to try this. I usually use a box and always think I need to do better. Lol.
Dressing! Stuffing! Whatever you call it....I ADORE IT!! YUM! Do you ever put the tops of the celery in?? Tastes really good.
Finally a real recipe! Love it!
Looks so good, going to have to try this recipe!
That's looks so good,😋 enjoy seeing your video 💖

Awesome Let me know what you think xo
Oh, Kiera this looks delicious. Bring on fall sister :)
hi, kiera - never did a sausage stuffing so i'm going to save this one and use gf bread cubes. thanks! ~k
Okay folks, taking a poll... Jimmy Dean or Jones sausage, which do you prefer?
I prefer Jimmy dean but even the great value isn’t bad.
Yummmmmm damn now I wanna have some thanksgiving dinner lol
Sounds yummy. I would like to try it but certain members of my family will not eat sausage! 😬
Now I’m hungry 😋😋😋😋😋👌🏻🙃
What if you just want to bake it in oven?
What temperature and how long?
30 minutes in the oven or until hot. I really like when it gets the crisp on the top. 350 will work fine.
I love how much you love your food! It makes me excited to cook!
Food is my passion!
This is how I make my Thanksgiving stuffing I add a can of chopped olives. It is so hard to find the jimmy dean sausage during the holidays.
I'm ready my friend....
I add 2 boiled eggs in mine plus this tip: Cook that stuffing separate from the turkey to avoid bacteria
Oh Yum!
what temp does the stuffing need to be to make sure it’s safe since it is going into a raw bird?

Thanks it’s easy but super yummy. I’d love to try yours with fruit. That sounds bomb

This is exactly how my mom used to mske stuffing but we added carrots and mushrooms with the celery and onions
Yum it sounds good with mushrooms
Include the leaves from the celery - make it quite flavorful.
How long do you cook dressing. My first
If I make this and not put it in the turkey, how long would it bake for in a pan?
Twenty to twenty five minutes on 350 degrees 😊
👌
Same ingredients I use

I would highly suggest cooking your stuffing outside of the turkey for food safety purposes
Yummy!! Happy Thanksgiving very early!! 🎃

WACALA!!! COCINADO DE GUSANO!!! NO MMES!!!
