Congratulations Robert, they are very nicely assembled and it looks like the uppers have very fine fibre structure. Being used to AE oxblood, to me these look more like burgundy, which is also a nice and versatile colour for shoes, enjoy.
Beautiful shoes Bob! I’m very happy for you on your new purchase. Cobbler Union makes some beautiful and very elegant shoes. I love the lines on them. I have a pair I got when them ran a matching belt combo sale and I love them. Not 10k step shoes, but I can do 5k in them and not regret it at the end of the day. BTW, I think the leather supplier CU uses for their museum calf just has less contrast. Mine are oxblood museum and they are the same as yours. The leather quality is very high quality regardless…. Great video my friend! Cheers!
@@CobblerBob it’s only available to “honorary investors” who spent $1000 during the pandemic. I’ve ordered some great pairs: an Alex in black-burnished cherry red on combination soles and City last and a spectator in undyed (later dyed Carolina blue) and white leather on combination soles on City last.
Hope you can help me out with a bit of info. Some months ago I started wanting to do some cobbler work on cowboy boots. Where can I order nails?. Brass and steel? By the way I just subscribed to you channel. Good vids.
I’ve found brass nails at some hardware stores. You just have to read the label to see if they’re solid or brass plates. I think I’ve got them at Hobby Lobby, Sears Hardware, and Home Depot. Www.McMaster.com is another place.
Great review. I have more CU in my closet than any other shoemaker. City last is by far my favorite. So….balanced in my opinion. There are often sales where a good deal can be had. I myself have scored pair for around $250. Sadly I read somewhere that their Atlanta store shut down. I hope the company is not in trouble.
Those are beauties! Sorry about the cracking on the cap. So will you simply avoid mirror shining that far back? I believe it was you Mr. Powers that once said that Allen Edmonds were the gateway shoe to having a shoe problem. I felt the same excitement you just showed when I bought my first pair of TLBs. There is another brand from Mallorca I want to try. Allen Edmonds are great shoes with great customer service.
Yes, and maybe I was flexing the shoe more than normal? Or maybe the vamp is getting more flexible because I haven’t been having that problem as bad since.
Not too happy with the recent, significant price increase. I believe these were priced under $400 less than a year ago. Now they are pushing $500. Still good value?

This channel is a gem!
I have been waiting for this show. You see, there is nothing to do here in Puerto Rico on a Good Friday. So thank you for your show.
👊🏼
I have the Richard Museum brown myself, and they are stunning! Enjoy them Bob!

Yes, I agree.

Yes, it’s a muted museum. I do wish it had a bit more contrast!

Hi Bob! How can I send you some photos of some of my shoes? Do you have an e-mail address that U wanna share?
Regards, Tom
They are an amazing company. I’ve been doing MTOs there these days. The quality and detailing are far beyond AE
Ooh, I didn’t realize made to order was available!

Great shoes, missed the unboxing earlier. Laces and knot 😊

Thank you! Wow, $250 is a deal! Yes, I saw the Atlanta store closed. I was hoping they were just moving, but I have no more info.

Thanks Bob, just seeing that cone height scares the heck out of me. 😢
I think that style of lacing is called bar lacing.
Yes, absolutely. They came bar laced, but not in a way that you could actually use.

I don't think so. I was unhappy with my purchase
The Richard I purchased was $395 full price last summer, and now is $450.
Can someone explain to me how this is related to a Pokémon minecraft server
LOL, uhh, what? I don’t think it is!??
You are really going to need a pair of drivers now. You are going to gouge the heels while driving your car.
🤔
That the eggplant color
YES, eggplant is a perfect description of the color!
