She helped me so much by listening to me vent when I was going through an abusive relationship. whenever you’re ready you know you have so many people that love you in the program ❤.

@Broskisnowski This poor girl lost her twin babies two weeks before their due date because she was beaten so badly by her boyfriend and you heartlessly say "what trauma,
All of it was self inflicted". I don't agree. Even if you think it's her fault, that doesn't take away the terrible pain and loss of having your unborn babies murdered. FFS!!!

@@ma3stro681 yeah. A lot of people who have been through hell wouldn’t change a thing because it made them who they are in the positive aspects, such as how resilient they are in comparison to someone who has had an easy life. It doesn’t mean she isn’t self aware. It’s clear you’ve had a pretty easy life and can’t relate. So your opinion isn’t really valid on someone who has been through experiences you could never comprehend. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mark, Ive watched many of your videos on this channel. Some out of pure interest and some for the wrong reasons. But this video touched me deeply. My daughter has been struggling with addiction for years and is very close to Cee's age. I have been the one giving her money when she needs it, cars when she doesn't have one but now, I'm cutting her off for the most part. Emotionally never. I pray for her, and I still talk to her, but I won't finance her, if that makes sense. But, through the tears and talking to her, I thought I understood her and what she deals with until now. Seeing Cee's story has opened my eyes to my daughter's situation. To perhaps how she feels when she struggles. What makes her go back to the drugs when she's doing good and beginning to get on her feet. In your own video Mark, you mention about how people want to help your interviewees financially but there are people in our own community that are the same way. Thank you Mark for doing this interview. I pray for Cee and others like her.

Many thanks to Mark, as well, for devoting his life to this important journalistic project! I am so glad it is opening hearts and minds. People I knew, in addiction, are the most principled and compassionate people I have known, when in recovery. They often had a remarkable sensitivity before addiction, also, which caused them to suffer more from the trauma that is part of life, for so many. She has such awareness of the fact that her “brain” doesn’t want to give up the addiction. That “it’s” not ready yet. Her consciousness/soul is so aware of the fact that her body/brain is not responding to what she might want deep down inside. I’ve struggled with anxiety and depression all my life leading to a life filled with rumination and negative thoughts. Doesn’t matter how many affirmations i say or how much I go to therapy, meditate, eat right or workout. Which I’ve been doing for over a decade. There is still an underlying imbalance going on. My soul has been begging to be set free from the mental turmoil since the age I was 16.. I’m now 26. It’s like being a prisoner in your own body. You have dreams and aspirations but your own mental illness holds you back. Which is exactly what Cee must be going through since it’s manifesting as an addiction for her. I pray for God to heal her brain so that she is no longer captive to the addictive thought patterns.

Rock bottom is a somewhat fictitious line we apply to everyone. My father was an addict. Once he cleaned up he ran a halfway house for addicts. Once, while I was making an excuse for why my sister couldn't quit her 20 year heroin and crack addiction because she didn't have the perfect setting, he said "you can get clean behind a dumpster, if you want it you'll do it. Rock bottom for some people is death". Stuck with me.

A parent's provisioning of tangible necessities alone does not make a good childhood.
    Emotional nurturing does.
I've seen people who, as children, lived in poverty, missed meals, homeless for a time, and they say how wonderful their childhoods were because they had solid loving parents. It's arguably the most vital necessity of all.

Mark, this brings me back to 1990 when my wife and I lost twins....please pass on to Cee, she will emerge, and can get sober and stay clean. The trauma of losing a child, or God forbid, twins, is underappreciated by most, and leaves deep scars which must be faced. But Cee, you are strong and so beautiful inside, I see that you have the strength to get there. Please keep trying and don't give up. You WILL be ready on your own time, but look for a mentor and support network. You have a gift in knowing Mark and having parents who love you.

I resonated with her talking the way she talked about the type of addiction for her with crack. I haven’t done crack or any other hard drugs but something about the way she described how the difference between physical addiction and mental where the thoughts keep coming back, and it being so hard to deal with that, spoke to me. For me it’s like that with mental health, depression anxiety, and now even addictions to things like eating, porn, or gaming. I feel like I used to be a lot stronger mentally, but since the pandemic my will and discipline just isn’t there like it used to be. Thoughts, compulsions and feelings will overrun me.

What she lost with her babies is heartbreaking and I can't imagine the pain she must feel inside but then Her smile came through all that darkness of her past and for those seconds every bit of hope for the bright future she/we all deserve was right there waiting for her to run with it. I am also a struggling addict and many of these interviews I have no ability to relate to, this one was different for me. They were Cee's age, basically good families that loved them, although not without trauma, but they "tried" desperately to get them help but they weren't ready. And the families had to sadly accept that. They were surviving any way they could but the day came and they were gone. Here one day, gone the next. We still grieve the loss of those beautiful young women who had so much life and vibrancy in them when they were kids. It was heartbreaking to watch. Losing your babies the way you did was not fair and very tragic. I can tell you have what it takes to dig deep down and pull yourself out of this! If you find a good therapist to help you through your traumas and who can give you some tools to help you love yourself again, and a comfortable rehab program that you vibe with, it would really help you become the ‘you’ that you are gifted to be. You are here for a reason. You can really offer people a lot of wisdom. I can totally see you becoming a substance abuse counselor one day…..and a very good one. It's interesting that she mentions that as being homeless that you can't hide. I was homeless for a while. Everyone see's you. People who never looked at me when I had a job and money in my pocket looked at me. Everyone is always weary of you and everyone has come to some negative judgement about you inside their head, even if they know absolutely nothing about your situation. It's a very uncomfortable feeling to know that you are always being judged just for existing to the best of your ability. None of my friends (who knew me before it happened and knew that I always worked and took care of myself and knew that it wasn't my fault that I was homeless) ever looked at me the same again. When I got back on my feet they never came by to hang out with me ever again. It ruined me socially. I've been an anti social shut in ever since. I have no trust in people. I learned that your value to others is somehow based on monetary standing, even if they don't stand to make any money from you. Once you lose that status, you can't recover in their eyes. You've been written off. It's truly disturbing how we view homeless people. The mental effect of being treated that way has long lasting effects. I'm still trying to sort it out for myself.
