If you have an established collection of cordless powertools, go with the cordless version. If this will be your first battery tool; go with corded. If you go with batteries, stick to one battery platform and either grab a few tools of the same brand on sale or buy a (starter) set secondhand. Cordless tools are a terrible impulse purchase
