Yep i couldn't ha e said it better either. Keep doi g it TT!
Hi Tyler does you patrol have a lock up kit if not would you consider getting one in the future
Hey Tyler
As a lot have said already...
Do what you do, you don't have to explain yourself to the people that either complain or don't like what you do. You have built an awesome channel with a variety of content, you have come along way in a rather short time. Well done. The Troll is looking great out on them tracks.👍
Thanks mate, appreciate it!
Doing a great job mate! Love the new build, great family bus. Keep doing what you love!
Love you stuff mate keep it up. Keep doing what you love to do. Don’t even explain yourself to the haters they don’t deserve it. Keep being you that’s why most of us keep coming back love ya work mate keep it up.
Great content, honesty and integrity.
Love seeing your progress, no matter how you are doing it, great to watch. Love the variety - as an MUX owner with an offroad camper trailer, it is all interesting! keep up the good work!
Keep doing it your way, it works.
I love seeing you out there not being anything like " 4wd24/7 ". They are an advert
Every time I watch them I am craving beef jerky 😄
@@FirstLightAdv And beer.
Your content is awesome mate. Just keep doing what makes you happy bro. That’s what makes us 99.99%’s happy too. 😉🍺
You’ve always had great content with honesty and integrity.
Always look forward to your next episode.
cheers!
Mate you are the most honest tuber. That's why I watch because the truth is always at the front and deserve every cent that you get Champ.
Tyler mate that was some great footage, so enjoyable to watch.
As for those who whinge about you getting sponsorship i say meh....... Forget them.
Never get upset or ever apologise as your honesty and love for 4wding is why we love your content, keep up the great work mate 👍
Awesome answers to the questions asked. Keep doing what your doing and like doing. You can’t keep everyone happy al the time no matter how hard you try. Keep the vids coming mate and keep being you
thanks mate!
Nice video. Love the way the Patrol’s coming along. Demi’s done a great job on the website, and it’s great to see her in more videos. Always good to see a new video from you pop up on my feed.
Thanks mate !👍
Mate you earned every bit of your success countless hours of filming for all of us to watch and enjoy let them winge if they want they should follow in your footsteps and see where it takes them I’m all for touring and love where your channel is going more variety and you learn a lot from your videos well I have anyway well done and can’t wait to see some of the new VIC high country videos as I’m hoping to head there myself this year 🤙🏻
Thanks mate, appreciate it!
You will always get the critics, keep going love the new build, but also love the nav
I've just started watching some of your videos the past few days.
Your honesty about your sponsors ect which you really don't need to say anything at all about was so genuine. It really shows your character and I really enjoyed it.
You got a new subscriber mate.
I appreciate that! thank you!
Keep doing what you’re doing it’s working buddy I look forward to your videos every week.only look back to see how far you’ve come your winning 👍
Thanks! Will do!
Keep doing what you’re doing mate. I’ve recently started watching your channel and it’s awesome watching you and your family getting out there. We’ve already got heaps of ideas from the trips you guys have done. Keep it up legend
Glad you are liking them!!
Good to see different patrols off road. Doing great job. You can't please everyone so keep doing your best. God bless you with your extended family
Thanks!
Great to see you mixing it up with other vehicles even if they were all Patrols.
Keep up with the great videos and content.
Yeah mate all sounds awesome!! Definitely looking forward to those bigger trips with your dad and family, awesome you have sponsors on board to make this all happen easier and get you out there and allow us to make decisions on equipment.
cheers!
Great vid Tyler 🤙
Tbh I usually don't watch a whole lot of your stuff. But since watching a bit of 4wd247, your content presents itself as so much more cleaner and genuine.
Keep it up man 💪
Awesome video, the Patrol is a capable and beautiful rig. The Q&A was very relevant to the channel. Revel in the success of all your hard work, ignore the critics. Thanks Tyler.
cheers mate!
There are always trolls who watch and then decide they don't like what your doing. What's really going on is those same people have zero going on in their own life, so they get their jollies spewing on someone who is living life their own way. Tyler, the only person who can control your mood is you - don't let others do that.
Thanks mate!
You keep, doing what you do best - love the out takes at the end lol
well done Tyler, love the GU solid axle 4-8 petrol, what a beast
Great vid mate! Stay true to yourself and focus on the 99% that love your work, best advise I’ve been given is Create don’t compete.
Looking forward to watching more camping trips👍🏻
thanks mate!
G’day Tyler
Great content as usual, just keep doing what makes you happy and don’t worry too much about the couple of miserable knobs that are always trying to bring people down to their level. There are plenty of us that really enjoy your videos and are happy to see you succeed.👍
Thank you!!
No need to justify yourself Tyler. You work hard to provide content everyweek. Your sponsors and what you do and they do for you is your business.
I'm part of the 99% that loves what you're doing. I drive an LC79 and have learnt heaps from watching the Patrol build.
The patrol looked so much nicer to drive on those tracks than the other 2....keep it up mate.👍
I appreciate that mate, thank you!
Keep doing what you love Legend! Always loved your contents mate..as a lot of us would say. Looking forward to more trips and campings! Thanks for taking us along. Cheers!
Much appreciated
Mate, firstly good on you for doing what your doing....secondly....just remember you can’t please everyone all the time, it’s hard enough pleasing some people some of the time. Let the haters hate....it’s their life and their loss. I’ve watched your content since day one for the simple fact that your out there doing it and doing it by yourself. A big good on you !
You’re spot on with your balanced content and variety Tyler - I own a Hilux but it’s refreshing to see Nissan content for a change - I’ve owned two and there so much stronger than the Landcruisers IMO - I prefer the automatic ‘stop and go pedals’ in the bush and cities because it’s easier on the driver and drivetrain - I’ve seen many folk getting stuck on steep inclines with their manuals and repeatedly stalling the car and burning out clutches and yes I know it’s about technique but auto is definitely the way to go especially if you have a camper trailer behind you - John in SA
Always great videos love watching keep up the great work
I think variety is the key…and with the Nav, the MUX, and now the Patrol you certainly have that! Looking forward to seeing all 3 vehicles and their drivers in the upcoming vid.
P.S. I found it really interesting to see the difference between this footage of you driving with mates compared to your usual trip vids…it really goes to show how much effort you put into telling a story, creating atmosphere and adventure. Love ya work! 👍
Well done Tyler - keep it going
Keep doing what your doing Tyler love your content and how you incorporate your family in most of your trips
thank you!
Keep doing what you do Tyler.
I very much enjoy sitting down with a beer to watch your videos.
I appreciate that!
Well done TT, loving the content, stay true to yourself and what you and your family want. There are a lot of jealous people out there who will try and shoot you down and then a lot of jealous people like myself who love what you do keep up the good work.
thank you!
9:41 your dad's face = for everything else there's MasterCard 👌👍😎
Dude I have loved the GU build and I am die hard LC80 man thru and thru, but appreciate the channel and loving the GU, keep up the great work, no one likes critics and it’s the world we live in today, I can be critical on various channels but hopefully it’s constructive, not hating, we are always learning no matter the experience and knowledge, why we follow channels for the adventures places and the good and bad, sharing info etc and loving through places we can’t travel especially right now. def don’t let that shit get to you. Love the Superior build, my go to been a long time fan of their stuff, keep on keeping on dude. Cheers for what ya do. 🤘
Thanks mate, appreciate it
Keep up the good work Tyler, enjoy watching your content mate 👍
Thanks 👍
Great video mate, loving all the different content! No limiter just proper 4wding and picking lines like I was taught when I was little!
Fuck everyone saying what they do and don’t like, you make the content and you put out and you determine weather you like your content or not, that’s all that matter :)
Thanks mate!
Love from Pakistan - I also have a Stock GQ 1990 and after watching you I am planning to do some updates with my Rig - Also Its really awesome that you go out with your family.
Love what your doing mate. I've got a 4.8 GU my self, really well done in setting your up, mine returns a regular 18L/100 as a guide for you.
Thanks mate!
Another great video Tyler. You’ve come such a long way in a short space of time. The videos and content just keep getting better and more interesting. Life is looking good for you mate, keep up the good work. I always look forward to your next video. Cheers mate and all the best. 😊👍👍
Thanks mate!
Well done with the video. You will always get knocker’s in life.
I follow you because you keep things real bad always explain when you get sponsorship.
Keep you the good work and I look forward to the next vid 👍👍
Your doing a great job Tyler. Keep going as you are
Thank you! Will do!
Don't worry about the 1%ers fella, followed your channel for a few years after I was lucky enough a mate put me onto it, have enjoyed it all ever since and have watched most of your vids! Keep being you, keep being real and honest and don't worry about evolving and expanding and the possiblity of noses getting out of joint...it keeps everything fresh and interesting. You should be very proud of yourself very talented and hard working to be able to record, gather, edit and release the content and be so well spoken and very good at presenting in front of a camera!
Thank you for that feedback mate, I appreciate all the support and definitely don't take anything for granted!
interesting.. ah yeah fair enough.. I can't wait to see you sort out this spare tyre and bracket to fit it back on the rear barn door or rear bar / tyre carrier Prehaps from the same company who did your front bar work. if u can find a 2nd hand one ?? .. custom removable doubble stack draws width ways in the rear that match the height of the rear seats or something . it's going to be annoying having to remove all the time otherwise .. your doing really good ! keep it up !! can't wait to see all these future videos comming up !
Love the content keep up the hard work
Keep up the great vids mate, loving the patrol
Thanks 👍
Locked patrols make things look easy, keep up the good work, looking forward to more content
Definitely makes it more capable that's for sure! More to come!
Hi Tyler everyone wants a Diesel 4X4 there slow noisey and they rattle away and everyone spends thousands to get them to go then they spend thousands to fix them awesome to see you with a petrol patrol their quiet and go well as you see a more enjoyable 4X4 experience keep up the good work cheers
I also have a D23 Nav and enjoy watching your Nav videos but am also enjoying the new Patrol videos looking fwd to next week's video with the Nav, Patrol and your dad's Mux
thanks mate!
I have always liked the TB48 but never got one. I got a Y62 a couple of years ago but still wanting that 48. I was happy that you went against the grain and got the GU and the TB48s can handle heaps of power if you so choose to go down that route.
The look on your old man's face is priceless - he's thinking "this is so much more comfortable and easy than the MU-X, I want one"
haha, he definitely loves to drive it!
We sit as a family and enjoy your content, master 12 likes when Kai gets out and gets some amazing shots, the family angle and ideas have been handy for our little trips. Cheers.
Thanks 👍
Wish i could like it twice, keep up the honest work mate!
cheers mate!
Good insights Tyler
Another great video mate, keep up the awesome work 👍
Thanks 👍
Haters always gonna hate TT. You can't please everyone. Keep up the good work. Great to see someone making a living doing what they love. You've come a long way from where you started mate. Keep doing you and being yourself. Thats why myself and the family watch your videos. Looking forward to your high country trip.
Well said mate you do you that’s why we watch 👍
Well said mate. All the best with the move and baby...👍
cheers mate!
Good on ya keep up the great work
Upppppp the petty GU! keen to see the Vic High Country series mate, love your work!
Damn right Tyler, you do what makes you happy don't worry about the 1% 😊
Good to here Tyler great job keep it up cheers.
Thanks 👍
The new 4x4 is coming along nicely great video mate loving your work from the old school young t.t to the bushman t.t keep it up stay true to your self 👍👍
cheers!
Great Q&A mate. You keep doing what makes you happy. It must be hard to ignore the negative comments but you really have to try harder (easier said than done, I know). I've been following you for years and it's hard to see you struggle with it considering it's such a small amount of idiots that troll
Thanks mate, it's definitely hard at times but majority of the time it doesn't bother me as much!
Great insight great video Tyler thanks mate 👍✌
Don't explain yourself to anyone, just keep doing you. That's why we are here ! We love your content.
Cheers mate!
Don’t worry about the sooks 😂 I just got a 2uz100 series bet your viewers would sook about that too. Can’t keep them all happy lii oh very work LEGEND
Hater’s will be haters keep up the good work I’ve been watching you since the black nav you’ve come a long way.
Thanks!!
Keep up the great work mate!
Thanks, will do!
Looking forward to the camper trailer vids. . . . Love the work done on the patrol . . . . . . Knew you would like it. . . . And lastly keep up the good content and honesty. . . . . .
Thanks 👍
Hey Ty really enjoy your laconic down to earth & informative style of videos mate, you dont pretend to be someone you're not and always manage to throw in a few bits of humour. Dont be discouraged by the haters mate, anyone with half a brain can work out, that whilst it looks like you are living the dream, the footage takes hard work, then there is the editing that goes with that, so any manufacturer/ supplier that is successful, would be aware of this, hence they would have a preference to showcase their gear on your channel as it reaches their respective target audience. Loved the Cape York rundown will be using the supplied info hopefully this year. Keep it going mate, love your work and cant wait to see the high country footage!
Thanks for the support mate! really appreciate it! Cape York is amazing! have the best time!
I have the same truck and recommend getting 4.1 diff gears (every GQ/GU 4.2 diesel runs these so easy to get 2nd hand), this will bring speedo back close to factory and help fuel consumption and off road performance with the 35" tyres
Good info thanks Tyler...
Keep doing what your doing mate….love the contact 👌🏻
Thanks, will do!
Ignore the critics mate. Just keep doing what you’re doing.
A trip out around the Warrumbungles would be good to see
I'll see what I can do mate hah! thank you!
Ignore the haters and hope you get those 100k subscribers soon! !
excellent video, the second video i've watched of yours over the years - now subscribed. Like you honesty and style. Actually considering a GU TB 48 at the moment. Have a SAS'd D40 Navara and a 200, but like the idea of more power for a weekend 4x4 toy. Well done.
Welcome aboard!
I love ur channel mate good for u that u got urself in a position to have company’s want to help u out I don’t understand negative comments wouldn’t u just not watch it 🤷♂️
Cheers mate great job 🤙🙏🇦🇺
All good content Tyler 👌 and I'm a landrover owner, keep em coming son ,from Steve near Chester England 🇬🇧 where the Roman's once lived.
Don't have to explain yourself mate, get out there and have fun. Those people who are complaining are jealous and are probably feeding their local Pokie Machines as we speak and crying poor. The Sponsors see something in your Adventures and are Capitalising on it, so it's a win win for you both 👍
Another great post, keep up the great work. Just on a small note though , the white writing coming on the screen at times was difficult to make out. Your merch looks fantastic, keep it coming.
Thanks for the feedback, I'll look into that and try and find something more readable!
Haters will always hate mate. As you mentioned it took years to get to the point where you are at where sponsors are backing you.
The GU is looking great by the way
thanks mate!
Hi Tyler & Family
Another great Video anything that inspires People to get out & explore our Great Country is fantastic.
The thing is they, want it locked up and that don’t want us to explore & go camping enjoying that time with our Families.
A Cyclone come though and does so much damage in one hour more than 20 to 30 years of 4wD
Stay safe Thanks Cheers
how are you enjoying the control of the auto offroad. brilliant imo. no worries about burning the clutch out when doing rough climb or technical driving and so smooth. my current and last grand vitaras are both auto and i wish i went that way years earlier.
seems pretty good mate!
How can anyone not want a Patrol after watching this.
Looks a heap better with the new bull bar
Garry looks stoked to be behind the wheel of the mighty GU! Smiles ear to ear :D
He was loving it!
Nice one mate no need to explain love the patrol build 👍🏴
Thanks 👍
Great video dude. I like the TB4.8 and TD4.2 the LS at times looks like you have to stay on the berries which I reckon could be hairy in some predicaments.
Family wagon? :-) Nice job on the GU build, can't wait to see more!
dont tell demi haha
@@TylerThompson90 Does the LS1 Patrol have 15 inch wheels ?
I drive a petrol auto GQ. Haven't done any mods to it but extractors as it came in a condition that seemed like it hadnt been touched since it came from factory. I recently got it down to 20 litres per hundred kays. Offroad it doesnt seem to use too much more fuel. Driving it offroad was such a good experience. Did a couple steps and some gnarly ruts and i was able to crawl it and had sooooo much control. For a first time offroader, it made such a pleasure. Ive thought about engine swapping it, TD42, TB48, 4jj1 or even a zd30 crd. But the way it is at the moment is just reliable.
Sounds awesome mate!
You summed it up well. You worked super hard for years. Low subscribers, building the channel, hoping it would work, getting the content out there. Now your getting noticed, the 0.01% who arrived late think you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth. Keep doing what you want. Haters are always going to hate.
Thanks mate!
I've just upgraded from a manual n70 hilux to a TD42 GU with a built auto, im absolutely loving the auto life, so much easier. I'm just looking into lifting it now and I'm unsure on 3" or 4". I can't afford the full kit you got but so keen to get it lifter. Currently runs 31s on a 2 inch lift.
33s a 2” lift with a front locker and you’ll be laughing mate! If you wanna go abit more capable go 35s with some longer shocks and 3” coil height
Sounds like a nice rig you've got yourself!
@@harrypatt7708 what length shocks would you recommend with 3 inch Coils?
285/75r16 and a 3 inch lift is the go. It's right on the boundaries of legality and should be quite a capable beast.
AWESOME!!! Go the Patrols. Get yourself Marks 4WD reduction gears to sort out that downhill runaway in an auto. 43% would be perfect for you as you do a bit of beach driving as well.
Agreed- I've got the 63% on mine - makes it super fun for the steep and hairy stuff when you need to slow down and get it right. Here's something I found about the change in speeds from a forum post. 45L petrol Auto --------------------- original gearing ---------------------------------------------------------new 63% reduction
1st gear low range------------------2800 rpm--20 km/h-----------------------------------------------------2800 rpm-- 11 km/h
2nd gear-----------------------------2800 rpm--35 km/h-----------------------------------------------------2800 rpm---20 km/h
3rd gear-----------------------------2000 rpm--35 km/h-----------------------------------------------------2000 rpm---20 km/h
