If readers think it's too much ghee it's only a tablespoon because three teaspoons are only a tablespoon .I use this much with one cup of rice .I'm Italian but I love Indian dishes

I am malabari..too and we often make gee rice ..honestly I felt the add ons are way to extra ...for the amount of rice 1 tbl spoon of ghee is enough ...the remaining less then half is enough ...well it’s all up to your choice finally but the proportion of rice should be considered for a exact malabari nai choru...✌️

As she mentioned, you need to use 'jeerakashala' or 'kaima' rice for this to become authentic malabari 'neychor'

Reetu Barla just wash throughly with water two or 3 times no need to soak it for hours basmati rice cooks very fast.

I'm from Malabar area. This ghee rice is good but not prepared in Malabar Muslim style. There is role for ginger in ghee rice.
Aathira Suresh ghee rice isn't exclusively "Malabar muzlim" . If it's Muzlim means , there will be a dead bird or animal wit it. 🤣🤣
