You'll hear classic WLS jingles from the Anita Kerr Singers, PAMS and JAM. This covers the years from 1960 to 1989, from the early days of the Top 40 format through the start of the TalkRadio era.
Scott Childers owns and operates WLSHistory.com, a fascinating website dedicated to the legacy of WLS during it's "MusicRadio 89" era. You'll find information on all the WLS personalities who graced the Chicago airwaves with the most interesting and exciting programming in the history of Midwest radio!
Be sure to visit our parent website, Airchexx.com. We have a wide assortment of WLS airchecks for you to listen to and enjoy!
Scott Childers is a national treasure!

Old radio was just the best.
These are some of the jingles from when I was an avid listener.
I still wanna boogie check.
"You talkin' to me??"
Ooh ah
I have the fondest memories of summer 1966 while I was visiting family in Rockford Illinois and we had WLS "Personality Radio" on our little transistor radios throughout those lazy, hazy summer days! WLS was, IMO the greatest "Big City Radio" ever!
That station played in my car many times
I grew up northwest of Philadelphia back in the 60s and could pick up WLS early evenings for about an hour and remember some of the jingles by the Anita Kerr Singers.
First of all, reverb should be set at 12%. No station would ever use your percent of reverb. It's sucks.!
GreatJingle ride
How often I heard those jingles in my car
These are the ones I remember from back in the 60s I lived in Kansas City, and listened to WHB,but at night time I could pick up WLS and KAAY... Little Rock Arkansas.😂😂😂
