The bunker brings a new rare loot area for DayZ Livonia in the form of the underground loot tag, offering some of the best loot available. The ability to build bases in these bunkers is pretty bogus. Lots of trash players are gonna do this and essentially take the best thing about Livonia away from others.
I'm sure that will be forbidden on community servers

I'm glad Bohemia is making cooperation an integral part of the loot gathering process. It really changes things up as to get highest tiers of loot you need the hardest thing of all, a friend.
A dayz type of friend that will help you to the 3rd level but then shoot you on the ladder for all the loot 😂👏 bravo Bohemia

I disagree, I play sporadically due to work and therefore am solo nearly every time, the teamwork requirement makes the bunker a non-starter for me. They should make it easier with a friend rather than impossible without one.

Same mate i play on an server where you have no faction limit and this damn and i know a bunch of pricks who will get this bunker because more than half the server will always be over run with them i wont even try it i just hope the server owners make a rule that building there is not allowed
Only official - most community servers don't allow base building in military or PD's.

There is a bunker on chernarus map that is situated on Tisy mb in one of the command buildings next to the big statue. Devs can make use of this location to build something new as they does on Livonia map.
They will be, you can see the yellow graffiti as well on those bunkers.

I hope the devs expand the Tisy military bunker on Chernarus by making the existing entrance into the exit and having the entrance somewhere else in the base. The door that is there is the same as the Livonia bunker exit door.
yea that would be nice , but increasing the loot too would be nice there. Like to be able to spawn svd and such.

I absolutely love this addition, however, I do wish it was more difficult to enter as in to find a punchcard. Also, I don't know how I feel about being able to build a base Inside and controlling it completely. I feel it would be best if you were forced to build a base on the outside securing the door, this would be more balanced in my opinion.

I felt the same way at first but at the same time it also highly increases the chances for players to be able to engage in organic pvp base raiding in non rp servers which I think the game has been lacking. There has been very little incentive for base building and the bunker has just changed that in a big way. I do agree that base building inside the bunker may need to be nerfed depending on how meta it gets, but we'll have to wait and let people experiment.
It'll cause zerg groups, toxicity, and a hostile environment for solo and new players. It's a bad idea. Its what happened with Caves in ARK.

so basically every bunker on every vanilla server will be nearly permanently inaccessible due to people building bases there.
also I only play dayz solo so I can never get to level 3

I mean you don't need to bring an outside friend in, just befriend someone in game. It isn't too hard, especially if you both start from the freshspawn villages. From there, get a pair of radios and you're good to go
@@Shadow-876 not sure if OP is on console, but if so, that will just not happen. i've been playing officials since console release and in, what, 4 years, I've only ever ran into two friendly people. the vast majority of console players play the game like it's CoD.

The only major negative I can see especially for console, is it's going to massively increase people using multiple account spamming for getting to bunker level 3
The water moves to fast for that I didn’t know I needed a friend and got stuck in level 2😂 but it does work to get from 2 back to 1 as far as I’m concerned just not 2 to 3
@Stormtrooper the server was low pop atm so didn’t feel like waiting possible hours lol but yes that is viable if you have enough food and water to survive I suppose🤷♂️

I'll never make it to that 3rd level. I have around 8000 hours, all solo. I guess I can just wait outside for a team to emerge with my trusty noob tube.

okay mr. wobo, just FYI here i'm sure many other experienced the same but i found the card on a doctor zombie in a convoy. by doctor zombie i mean a mili zombie wearing a bright blue surgeon hat. i was confused when i saw that zombie cos it's so peculiar so i killed it and boom! card!

This is super cool! I always wanted to have more of a goal in dayZ and this gives you one. I don't know how I feel about being able to base build the doorways stopping people from getting in, but we will see. With the punch card and needed two players I feel like that is a good barrier to entrance. Throwing up player made walls will make it almost impossible for people to breach the bunker after this is live for a bit. Maybe up the spawn of C4 around the bunker to offset this? idk we will see.
not sure how I feel about the qsquadmate cooperation stuff, on one hand it encourages meeting randoms and trying to go explore with them, but on the other hand it basically solidifies the "5-man in discord" meta that is already really challenging to anyone trying to do things by themselves. I doubt you can even talk to the person controlling the water level without being in discord or something.

Not a fan that people can build inside the bunkers. I just see this getting dominated on every vanilla server across platforms by one group per server. It will give us a ready or not experience tho.

It's a trash experience had 4 guys build in bunker I got in then they force closed DayZ and re logged to see me through walls and killed me with grenade launchers

For solo players this update kinda sucks teams are just gonna dominate the bunkers and hackers are gonna have a feast
Well you will just have to team up with someone to do stuff like this, however organized and fast squads are gonna size this bunker with their own doors and walls. I think Devs should just completely disable base building inside military areas and special places like this one or the one on Namalsk, it shouldn't even be a server option thing. As far as hackers goes well the only thing you can do is play on Private servers with active admins.

"Solo player" more like people without friends, it's not like you could just join the dayz discord and look for people to play with.
@@Brotgeschmack That's not a good argument. Some folks play the game solo by choice, others because their friends are off at the moment, or whatever. It's not about having no friends that play Dayz. There's a large majority that play the game solo, so this feature is only going to be available to a restricted portion of the playerbase.
Plus, some people might not feel like socializing, maybe at the moment after coming home from work and they just wanna have a mindnumbing Dayz session without any fuss with other people cause they're exhausted for the day. It's a really simplistic approach to just say that half (or more) of the playerbase just have no friends, ingame or IRL

According to Wobo their taking loot off the map to fill the bunker that’s my point on their limited to what a solo can do to get loot that’s the point I’m trying to make
Just do what everyone else is gonna do and put an alt in there to open from inside and lower the water when needed

Raiding an active bunker base sounds like so much fun. I wish I still had time to play this game like I used to.
In theory you could wait for the water to slowly rise then use that to get to the t3 loot worth it for an Aug ax and night vision.Then once you have looted everything simply server hop to get out. Idk if this will work but I will probably try it.

Update, doesn’t work. The water only rises back up to the “medium” height, the orange switch needs to be triggered to get it to rise to the “high” level and get to level 3 😢

The bunker is one of those things that took them MONTHS to create and my friends and I will probably run through it once before we just go to ammo factory every time again.

Gotta say the bunker's alarm going off each time a punch card is used to open the door is useful af, earlier today I went to the bunker for the 1st time and had a couple claymores, I was looting solo n heard it opening and managed to set down 2 claymores at a choke point n took down a 4man😂

It's cool that the game has plenty to offer for each individual player, Weapon wise. Me personally still searching for it. But want a couple guns that spawn the most ammo and are at least mid range super lethal.
So do these convoys spawn with sounds? Like maybe explosions and a shit ton of gunshots or something?
Can you make a video showing off all the new locations in detail? Information about the map itself is pretty sparse

So basically everyone on console will log out an alt account inside the bunker and will never have to find a key again. It should be one way in and a jump down to get out.

Can’t wait to attempt to build myself a bunker base. Things gonna be hella fun to secure and keep ahold of. Though mind you, gonna need a pretty big group to Keep it all secured.
Finally there’s a real incentive to build a base instead of just creating a loot stash in the middle of a forest.
why take the whole bunker, just make a base near by so other people can loot it without having to worry about a base in it
@@devilshadow5256 the bunker, by its nature of being a bunker, is easier to secure. For the entire thing there’s like, two entrances which you can only get through with a pre required item.
That is a extra step which would make the base harder to raid. Additionally, you control the supply of high tiered military loot. Which would be a huge boon to your power on the server.
And finally, you could build a base in some shed in any previous update in day-z, building a bunker base is a new and unique challenge that is totally fresh.

Very helpful - thank you for making and posting it. I have alt accounts, and it seems that it isn't possible to set the drain and fill wheels with one account, log out, and then log in on another account to access Level 3, or to escape from Level 2 either. I am sure it is possible if you can run two accounts at once by use of two PCs though, I just haven't had time to test it

Hey Wobo, quick question : I was under the impression that the DayZ engine was unable to make holes in the terrain mesh to allow you to build below it (like the CryEngine could for instance). Also it seemed to me that it was still the case with Arma Reforger's version of Enfusion, seen as the caves in the game are just terrain depressions with large rock meshes covering them. But the way the Livonia Bunker looks in 1.19 makes me doubt that, as it really seems that the hill above the bunker is just the regular terrain mesh that somehow the player can go through now (bugs aside ofc). Is this true or is the hill we see here just a large object that covers the whole area ? Thanks for your great work.
In DayZ the only way to make underground areas is to lower the terrain in a spot and cover it with buildings. You can then make grass blocks to cover the holes if needed.
If you go free cam on livonia you can go below the floor of the bunker and see how the ground is just punched downwards to make a bowl.

whats funny is that it actually was possible with the old arma engine. on vbs2, they demoed a way to cut holes in the terrain and add objects under the terrain. they never brought this feature over to arma or dayz sadly.

@@erpaderpa4469 you are a grade A idiot, go into a gas zone with a gas mask (make sure the fliter is in) and you still bleed and get cuts at the same rate as without a gas mask on, this is because the gas that po-x is based off will cause blisters and bleeding after being exposed to skin, you cannot bandage internal bleeding in dayz. also one more point get stage 2 gas poisoning and leave the gas zone you will cough/vomit blood while getting 0 cuts, you will only get more cuts after entering the gas zone. so now do you see how wrong you are pal?

As of hotfix 2 the punch card only has a 40% chance on the convoy zed
I found it first convoy I've tried. Hit 7 other convoys and not a single other card.

I'm high af so I zoned out a little and when I came back he had Minecraft characters on the screen so I got confused af and forgot what I was watching. As I type the bunker door is just deepthroating a humvee.
But having a base living underground your gonna need alot of batteries and lights lmao I do LOVE tho that the modders have access to create their own bunkers for servers. Great addition for sure.

Combat gas mask does spawn outside the bunker. ;)
For anyone comng back to this the bunker commander dosent have a 100% spawn with the keycard. I killed three commanders/ three diffrent convoys, and found only one
It’s crazy to see how DayZ is just adding mods that have been out for super long as an official thing into the game which I guess makes sense cause it allows console to enjoy “mods”
most mods are legit just asset flips of stuff from arma 3 so still pretty much made by Bohemia

On the combat mask spawns, is that game file info on spawns? Its just odd because i can think specifically 4 places ive found them. In Huta, Lembork military, Canyon military sw of nadbor and the t4 bunkers sw of polana. And this was all on experimental. I wanna say iv found another in swarog but im not for certain. On the mil nbc gear, that i have tried to find in my normal places and haven't seen any. Normally i can run through canyon military and scoop up a whole suit but haven't seen a single piece.

Wobo, what tool/addon do you use to see item labels?
I want basing removed from the bunker. You’re basically capable of farming NVG’s and AUG AX’s and all the stuff needs for both without anyone being able to get it or having to work three times as hard or more to get it. If a location has a guaranteed spawn for items then it should have building disabled. I hope everyone is using the feedback tool to extend this plea to the devs.
Been farming the gas zone since last wipe. All my accounts got m4s.
@@AlmightyTox only differences is that in a gas zone it’s fair. Nobody is blocked off, two go in one goes out. Not with the bunker. You’re talking a full on assault on a base with an ungodly amount of walls, all protected by a rare item that may break with its first use depending on how you found it. You can farm M4’s, whatever, but an unlimited amount of NVG’s? Plate carriers? AUG’s? All to yourself?

What if you log out one of your alt accounts inside the bunker with the door, then just open it for your friends over and over with no card needed infinite loot farm with no card needed
So the level 3 bunker layout on my server is way different than the one in this video and the others I've seen. Has anyone confirmed if the bunker layouts change at random? To be more specific, in this video the bunker is loaded with towers of crates and pallets but on my server there are hardly and crates within and looks empty compared to this.

So what is the difference between going in the sneaky way vs the loud way? We have went 2 times to the sneaky way and are about to use our last on the loud way.

Not a bad idea but it would suck for people that get glitched and need to log out and back in to fix themselves or people that accidentally don’t see a server rest message and get logged out in the bunker.
Yeah just make it like a car, you'll log back in outside the door.
Or like the gas zones when you log into a gas area you spawn nearby. In this case the spawn would be outside the bunker

@@saucedispenser nope its a really smart move on the marketing, Livonia has something unique that chernarus doesn't have thus forcing people to pay the 15$ in order to access this content, im sure that chernarus will get something unique in the future but right now livonia has the bunkers and chernarus doesnt.

This is a major mistake imho. It'll eventually degrade the player base... Only groups can get top tier loot, means that the bunker (Unless ruled against on private, community servers) will become the hot spot, encouraging the sort of behaviour we saw in the beginning of ARK with the caves. This led to a lack of new players staying, a generally toxic and hostile attitude in the servers.
Step one sit outside with mosin step 2 watch people entire step with plant landmain step 3 loot when they leave .

The nvgs shouldn't even work in there because there is no low light for it to amplify
