All with Poly-Mod at audio rates. Depending on the mod amount, which destination(s) you're modulating, what frequencies the oscillators are set at and which wave forms you're using, whether or not you're using Sync, and the Mixer settings you can really get a wide range of sounds.
I remember I made a dx7 Bass On My Rev 4 like a couple months back, idk how I did it but it was for sure incredible, love the demos here, I'm willing to become a sonic artist but these sounds are definitely time consuming (correct me if I'm wrong lol), anyways great video!
They might take some time, depends on how comfortable you are on the instrument and with sound design. That said, you could keep tweaking any patch for a long time :)
They're not actually digital sounds, but are sounds inspired by early digital synths, like the PPG Wave and Ensoniq ESQ-1. This video is just me seeing how much I can emulate those types of sounds and that vibe with an analog synth.
Prophet V is my favorite musical instrument ever created. So many beautiful sounds come out of it.
my only poly :)
Brilliant!
thanks!
Very cool vintage, a treasure ⚡🎹
Yeah! Worth selling my other synths to fund it :)
@@polydata Absolutely worth it, super special, cooler now than ever! Those vintage nameplates on the back are so sexy lol
It’s one thing when people try getting digital to sound analog. How often does anyone try doing it in reverse? Killer!
thanks! yeah I like to push the boundaries haha
I love my P5😁
:)
How'd you do some of these? I never thought a Prophet could do sounds like that honestly

do you think the Take 5 could manage these same sounds?
Definitely. I made a whole bank of just FM sounds for the Take 5, check it out here: ruclips.net/video/mKTgyhLGuxg/видео.html
Nice Apple //e!
thanks :)
looks brand new! Did you compare it with the new 5/10?
Yeah, it's crazy how mint it is. I had a new Rev 4 in my hands for a few months. Doesn't quite sound like the old ones, but sounds great nonetheless.
@@polydata Thought so myself, thank you!
1981 digital still sounds fatter than 2023 digital.
it's not a digital synth though. Just patches made to sound "digital".
@@tordstalheimmortensen7257 misleading, clickbait title
@@moe47988 😂
Can you explain what digital sounds are?
