isn't it ironic that throughout the show, when the going gets tough, Nora is the one who can stay calm and collected, while Ren can't keep his emotions in control?
It's the reverse and it's completely ok.

Actually I’m pretty sure the reason is because ren is used to tempering his emotions to an extreme. I mean that’s just a guess but given what he’s been through from a young age till now? I can see why. Nora’s crazy is probably just her way of living life till the bitter end. She tries to put a positive spin on the negative. Which is probably why I was annoyed with her in volumes 1, 2, & 3. (When someone comes off as perpetually one thing or the other? I tend to shy away from them.) vol 4 to now has given her so much more depth and I love it! Now I see that this whole time she’s being living like it was her last day. She’s trying to celebrate life even when she knows it my be her last. I find that pretty impressive

@@iceluvndiva21 Precisely. I'm sure that if he were in a better state of mind, he would look at the decisions he's been making lately and CRINGE. But he's not in a good state of mind. He's terrified, paranoid, probably hasn't been sleeping well, things have been going to shit around him since Team RWBY came along, his organic arm is now skinless so he's probably either in a lot of pain or on painkillers. Suffice to say, I don't think he's been having the best time.
ShadowL Drago Or it simply could be that they never pointed that out because if they did, that would mean the people of Mantle would realize they don’t have a logical reason to believe that Penny actually did this and realize that someone else was behind it and because the plot demands that they arbitrarily blame Penny logic has to go out the window here. I mean the simple fact that they *never* seem to realize this is just blatant plot mandated stupidity because while some people might be scared in the heat of the moment, some people would’ve questioned the idea that Penny did this since there are other possibilities. Heck with how racist Atlas supposedly is the population would probably be *more* inclined to believe that a Faunus like Tyrian was responsible for this and not Penny, especially since some Faunus have been established to be able to see in the dark and the massacre specifically happened while the lights were out. And terrorists like the White Fang have committed similar violent acts like the massacre before at the Fall of Beacon, so it wouldn’t be a stretch to think that the average citizen of Mantle would blame the Faunus instead of Penny.

OK, that's too much. Ironwood has always over reacted. He learns that Vale has been having problems in a time of peace? Better bring an entire army to scare enemies away even though we have no idea who the enemy actually is! learns of a secret base outside of Vale without actual co-ordinates? Better waste all my useless android resources that even a drunken man in his 40s could rip apart with his bare hands on a shoot till everything is dead. Atlas is being painted as incompetent? ok I get it: it's not that Marrow can only stop in place one thing at a time, it's that he can only stop in place whatever's in his line of sight (regardless of number, I'm assuming)
It's a directional effect. Possibly even an AoE that hits everyone in line of sight
Anyone in a direction is how it's described, which doesn't narrow it down at all. The caviate is, he can't move while using it
Alright pretty good it shows us an introspective on Ren and how he feels about everything one thing I thought was going to happen was when Nora suggested that let the people have their peace and relax , it was going to show a montage of Ren witnessing his village and having him monolog the lines of. "Mother, Father...I can't let that happen again, not to anyone." Other than that really good, nice work.
Okay now its time to play a little game I like to call, Reasons to despise Tyrian!

That's part of the point, her lasers would cause severe burns, not lacerations. If she used them in melee like the crowd's suggesting they'd have blood on them.

@@handhelder823 It's kinda... complicated to talk about.
Initially, during my first watch of Seasons 1-3 (I refuse to call them "Volumes" anymore), I loved Nora, her bubbly personality was great. But as time went on, she only became more annoying, at least to me. I don't want to be offensive, nor am I a hater of the series, it's just that it seems that Nora only communicates with certain people, these are Jaune, Ruby, Pyrrha (I don't f*cking care, bring her back, RT!) and most of all, Ren. Her crush on Ren is nowadays the only personality trait she still has. Add to that her voice, which, like Rubys, is steadily becoming more and more annoying over time. Also, at times I even wonder why she is even still part of the main plot. She had no real involvment in the shows events since Season 4, after that, she's kinda just.... there. Just like Ren and Jaune, who have no reason to be there anymore. She's just spouting overly positive things without context, which led to her becoming irritating, annoying and useless. Over time I've just come to hate her for it. Like Ruby. Both are OVERLY positive, when we are in a war deciding the fate of our home planet. Noras "I'm so sick of keeping secrets!" line is also very hypocritical to me, because: WHO has decided to withhold the truth from Ironwood for no reason? WHO went behind Ironwoods back to given information to a stranger who could've worked for Salem? None of those are Nora, mind you, they were people even WORSE than her -Ruby, Yang and Blake - but it makes her guilty by association. And her "Voice Of Mantle" and "Pining for Ren" story arc was overly rushed and led nowhere.
So in short, I hate certain characters in the show, them being the entirety of Team RWBY (especially Ruby herself, Yang and Blake), Ozpin, Raven, Cinder (eugh!), Emerald, Robyn Hill and all of the Happy Huntresses. Nora is one of them too. It's just the way it is. People can't fault me for not liking characters I simple hate because they're boring, non-sensical, stupid and have no place in the main plot of a story. I'm not saying that you are one of them.
But if this show with it's terrible worldbuilding and main protagonists makes me sympathise with its supposed main villain, Salem, and the others, like Mercury, Hazel, Tyrian, Roman and Neo, as well as deuteragonists who were in the side of the heroes but then stupidly make them antagoinsts just because, like James Ironwood, Clover and the Ace-Ops, then your show does something TERRIBLY WRONG!
This is just my own opinion, so I hope people don't hate me for it.

I can get behind it. But i can understand why Nora for example is that vocal about Mantle. I can understand every action she takes, i agree with you in regards to Blake and Yang (I would have Mercury absolutely massacre both in a 2v1 fight)
She is indeed a rather Flat character. I still like her a lot though. But i can understand your criticism
