Sounds good dude. I decided to go with the tomei 262s because I'm not making enough power to justify 272s. But they do sound amazing

@@YaseenAli-zn9ej thx mate. Got the 262's of course but doing all new seals/gaskets, new water pump, new oil pump, hks hg, arp hw, head drain, fwd intake, BL5757, mishi fmic. Definitely a bigger list but that's the majority of the $$$ spent thus far

Very nice idle. I've just installed tomei procam 270/270 with 10.25 lift and it's more rough, from time to time whole car is shacking

@@chrisbrathwaite9680 nothing to the head, but tomei pro 270 camshaft require tomei lifters and some non-standard springs, tomei type A in my case.
Tomei camshaft have base circle of cam lowered by 1mm and therefore require non-standard lifter, which is 1mm taller and that's enough to fit those particular cams without head modification.
Tomei has pdf product card for each camshaft type and they specify what needs to be done for fitment. If my memory serves me correct, anything with bigger lift, like 10.75 will require head modification, which is specified in product card as job type with some code

Both cars are great cars, I’ve driven evos too. An evo is a newer car depending on what model. Let’s say you want a evo9mr. less problems and probably no rust. Chances are no one has has gone too crazy with mods and you can buy a non jdm one easily. With small tweaks is a great track car also. The gtr is great to drive, just require a lot of money to maintain depending on what you pick up. Most of these cars now days are a hit and miss. Rust and sometimes problems as they’re almost 30 years old, but desired by a lot. I don’t think 28k will get you far if you’re after a gtr. 40-50 yes. For a street car if you’re chasing mid 400hp and maybe want to push it to 800 an evo will do it with a built motor. As for a gtr 500-600hp street with potential to stroke it to bigger motor you can easily achieve 1000-1200 depending on what you do. With your budget I’d suggest sticking to a evo. Less work and a new car. The gtr is just a brutal car once you’ve passed the stage of twins. Plenty of evos around. But also a lot of kids now days with stock gtrs thinking they’re gods and then get walked by a golf r or rs🤣 before you buy a car think of budget, what plan on achieving and potential power goal & maintenance

I am currently building an r32 gtr so can't compare it to anything yet. I owned and evo 6.5 tommi makinen edition previously. That was an awesome car. But evos also suffer from rust if it is not kept in check.

Just to give you an idea, I spent 28.5k on my R32. I dumped another 17k into it in parts and labor to get it to around 750 wheel hp. Then at 9k rpm one of the bearings got oil starved and it spun a bearing, and now I'm paying 7k for a built bottom end. I'll have about 55-60k in this R32 by the time I get it mechanically where I want it, at which point I start on getting the body perfect again, new paint, etc... It's not like you can just save up some cash and be done with it, depending on what you're looking for. 28 is enough to get into a low-mileage R32 in good shape (mine only had 20k original miles on it with no rust, near perfect interior). You can find them, but they're much more rare now and you'll spend the entire amount just on the car with nothing left over to mod it how you want it unless you save up a lot more again. Just up to you and what you're looking for. What I can tell you is that nobody really gives a fuck about an evo. Drive around town in an R32 and you'll be treated like a rock star.
