I love your videos! Maybe you can do a video on editing a boring PDF that’s already built and jazzing it up on canva. A lot of employees already have a PDF template form, we just need to make it prettier/ more interactive 😄
Thank you for replying back. I’m such a fan of your creative work. I work in HR at a well known hospital and I’ve had to work on editing PDF forms that are already built out but they just need a sprinkle of creativity to make it more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I haven’t found any YT videos on this topic. Just an idea! 💕

They made a small change, the Form Field creation tool doesn't have the Text Paragraph option anymore it seems. I tried using the Text option and doing a drag-and-size, but when I save and export it, the text fills the field to full size and is ginormous instead of multiple lines. Anyone know the new method for text paragraphs? Super cool program tho, great video thank you. *SOLVED*: They made an "update", and per the usual IT update it went backwards in functionality. Choose Form Field like in the video, drag the whole box around the paragraph area you want to make, then click Edit on the top-middle menu. Then go back and click the text box, then click the little wrench "tools" icon towards the top. Then when the box opens click the "multi-line" checkbox. It's very slow, and often when you click the box to edit it, it jumps an inch off the screen. But, it's still all free and super helpful, just poor design on that part.
The title of this video 'How to design a fillable PDF Workbook in Canva' is misleading. I watched the whole video (which was excellent by the way) to learn how to create a fillable PDF file, only to learn right at the end that another application was actually required to create the fillable part. Canva should add this function.
This video was so helpful, thank you so much for this. I am wondering how to make my workbook legit to sell? Do I have to go through any legal process, is there any specific verbiage that should be on my work? I want to protect my work from being downloaded and sold as someone elses, specifically. I've googled and haven't gotten a clear answer. Thanks again for this video, hope to hear back on my question as I finally finished something I've started and am ready to keep up the momentum (:

You do this throughout all the videos, but at about 21 minutes, you talk about copying and repeating a section by holding down the "option" button. Is there somewhere in one of your videos where you talk about how to do this step-by-step? I'm not quite grasping how you do this and I think I may be missing a step or two. Thanks so much for all you to to help us build our business :). Victoria
Hi Victoria, thank you so much for these kind words! If you're on a macbook, you can hold down Option as you drag out the element you want to duplicate. If not- you can also try comment-D on mac or Control-D on a Windows. See you in skillShare!
Great video! What kind of template did you start with in Canva? I have the free version of Canva and when I searched on “workbook” for a template type it didn’t return any results. Are you just using an 8 1/2 x 11 flyer with multiple pages?

I know you can do it on Canva by sending them a template link but then they can also change the design and I am worried about people using the actual templet making a few changes and selling it as their own. Hello! I’m looking for a way to make the fillable fields expandable. In other words, as the person filling out the worksheet types more than the multiline box will hold, the field size expands and shifts the other page content down. Do you know of any PDF fillable software that does that? Thank you!

No I don't think that's possible with PDFs right now. Maybe look into creating a Notion template or a Typeform depending on what you're using it for
