    The front mounting option sounds new to me.
    I don’t remember that being available at the V1 and also not at the initial V2 release.
    It might be a silent update happening around the same time as the release of the R21 V2 and R16 V2.

      They made a refresh of the r9v2. Now It has front mount, the lighter shaft of the R12, it's shorter and there are more ports on the back.

    Hey,
    does someone know how to equalize the stiffness of an R9 between the very center and near the center? I try to mess with the settings but can't find a way to lower the difference. It's too light in the center and when I attack a high speed corner it's really difficult to turn the wheel just slightly, because there's a sweet pot where the really light center feeling (e.g. in a straight) jumps up suddenly to really heavy (which would not be a problem in handling, I'm strong enough :) but the moment when it alters is just annoying). Thanks for any advice.

  • @svtcontour
    @svtcontour 7 месяцев назад +3

    Maybe I'm wrong but I thought the front four holes are actually just bolts that hold the front of the unit on, you cant actually front mount it.

    • @JACKZERYT
      @JACKZERYT  7 месяцев назад

      No I believe they are threaded holes, are yours not threaded?

    • @svtcontour
      @svtcontour 7 месяцев назад

      @@JACKZERYT I dont have one but when I was shopping around, it was one of the criteria and the R9 was not front mount capable and actually even looking at your vid, I can see how that your sample has hex bolts inside the holes so I think the holes might just be for those bolts to hold in the front face, not a front mount thread.

    Love the review Jack! I'd be very curious to hear your opinion comparing it to the new Fanatec CSL DD which I'd say is its target competitor and if Moza has as you say obliterated its competition. Being a Fanatec user, I'm naturally biased but open minded to hear constructive feedback comparing side by side to maybe make a change for something more than 8nm!

    • @JACKZERYT
      @JACKZERYT  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks man!!I say the Clubsport DD+ is a tank. I haven't raced with it, but while moza beats fanatec on price and QR, I do think they're very similar and catering to a similar market, but with Moza offering the R21 at the same price as fanstec 15nm DD+, maybe it's the name being paid for? But I've yet to see both these wheels so maybe one day I can do a proper comparison

  • @SIMRIG412

    Nice review! My only complaint is against moza and how when you look up the r9 v2 99% of the pics show it only has 2 ports on the back for moza accessories but your base has 5 ports. So it’s confusing to customers!

    • @JACKZERYT
      @JACKZERYT  7 месяцев назад +1

      Well that's a tough question, but I think Moza are trying compete with fanatec which is a huge market, and offer alot of variety in products while doing it.
      On the other hand, (and I could be wrong), Simagic are really making products for the enthusiasts and a bjt more of a niche market and I do believe they are trying to compete with big names such as simucube.

      I own both Simagic and Moza products. Both are feeling very similar. Its your preference.
      Simagic also offers higher end products, but you gotta pay the price and thats another range.
      For the same Nm FFB, both are just fine.
      Personally i prefer by far Moza's Pithouse software. But Simagic's esthetic is better. Up to you what you prefer.

    I really don't know how you think the R9 is not "enough" for you. I run @40% strength in game/100% in base settings, and any more...you just would not be able to turn it affectively, and I'm not weak. Maybe you turned it down and not realized it. I drive a sports car that does 155mph and no way does the wheel feel as strong even with R5!

    • @JACKZERYT
      @JACKZERYT  6 месяцев назад

      @tigerbalm666 maybe in time you will realise....
      When I got my Simagic Alpha Mini, I was terrified of the power, no I need to under use it not to clip... but strength is deffinatley a subjective thing hence why alot of content creators/reviews who have commented on this topic say the sweet spot is 12 to 13nm...
      Hence why I'm feeling like I missing a teeny weeny bit being stuck at 10nm.
      This would also be why they offer the R12 r16 and R21, for those who don't like Clipping but also who want to be able to use 12 - 15nm with massive head room.
      I've been looking at the Simucube 2 Pro for this very reason recently

      You don't need it but you want it, because your an enthusiast. A stronger feeling wheel gives more of a connection to the ground. And I think that's what is appealing.

  • @Arguyle20

    R9 is the worst best option. Why? Because if you go for R9, that means you're willing to get into some serious force feedback... but the generally accepted sweetspot is between 10 and 15Nm. Then as your body keeps getting used to 9Nm, you will reach the feeling that your body could want more after you months. Then you realize the R12 was what you needed.
    If you go for R9, just go for R12. Thank me later.

      10-15Nm might be the "sweetspot" for sweaty gamers that want to simulate a GT3 car but for everyone else, the "sunday driver" type of person, more than 5-8Nm is not necessary at all as it will be too strong to have fun but also will be a money waste
