The problem is that Liza is not going about any of this the right way. Cutting Josh off the way she does is so much like what she feels she is “supposed to do”. If she really wanted Charles, Josh would not be a factor
Awww so sweet of them to have Nico's mom in this episode! They should do that more often. Have other casts bring their significant other or close friend/relative to ask their perspective of the show 🤔
Charles and Liza have a really boring relationship. Charles is too rigid and this season is my least favorite. But the deep emotional connection between Josh and Liza is soo intense that you can't wait to always watch an episode of them together. Josh on the other hand is flexible and spontaneous. I really want them back, team Josh all the way.!
I'm tired of everything else defining who Liza is. First it was the lie, then it's her tug of war lovelife. I'm #teamLiza and I couldn't care less if she ends up with no one as long as she is kicking ass in her professional life, because that's why she wanted to be "younger" in the first place. That would be a fitting ending. If she ends up with anyone, I hope it's neither of the 2 she has now. Both are just holding her back in some way.
At the end of the day I just don’t think Josh and Liza are right for each other. You can love someone deeply and learn a lot about yourself because of the love you two shared, but that doesn’t mean they’re perfect for each other
Guys i am team Liza. I remember when they would be together and something would always goes wrong. And i can guarantee that she would regret it real fast if she comes back to josh. Charles is better and age wise mature. I hope next weeks episode they don't screw it up for us. Liza made that letter for closure and idk why it bothered josh so much she was just being honest. I can see them be friends but not in a fully committed relationship anymore.

When they met she was looking for work, and she was getting over a divorce so she was kinda trying to see if she still got it and she does. Now she meets the sexy gorgeous Charles who's really her age and more mature and she really has more chemistry with him than Josh hands down. I'm team Charles if you haven't noticed lol
Remember when Josh and Liza were together but then broke up but were together and then broke up and then Liza had feelings for Charles when she either was or wasn't with Josh? And how that all started four seasons ago? See how she's now been with Charles since mid season 5 and hasn't broken up to get back together a dozen times already? That's because one's a grown ass relationship and one is not. The break up between Josh and Liza happened so long ago, and the triangle keeps getting dredged up for some kind of dramatic climax, but has never been consistently maintained as a narrative thread. It also is absolutely not cool and borders on creepy at this point that a man is hankering after his now long ago ex, and thinks it's a-OK to stick around in her life when she has clearly moved on. Sorry, creepy isn't the word. It's flat out emotionally manipulative, compounded with what is a pretty outrageous and patronising assertion at the end of this episode. Imagine if it had been 40-something Charles saying that? People would be jumping up and down about the patriarchy and the manipulation and the inappropriateness of his behaviour. But no, because it's 20-something Josh pining for the older woman, somehow it's now cute. Gimme a break.
Not to mention the show spent 5 seasons showing why Charles is the better match for Liza and building depth to their relationship. The Liza/Josh relationship has the depth of a kiddy pool. I feel betrayed a bit as a viewer for spending so much time watching Liza and Charles fall in love only to have this crap with Josh who when she was him their relationship was problematic.
