For those who aren't aware po, UP Pep Squad has been facing a long-time problem with their coaches. They filed a complaint against them just this February, citing corruption, and verbal and physical abuse as grounds. And this August lang nag-step down yung mga coaches na ito. Kaya August lang din nakapag-rehearse nang maayos yung team, although nangangapa pa sila dahil bago ang coaches. This performance is not as stellar as the one they had in their peak years. Pero it is an improvement kung ikukumpara mo sa kung gaano kalala ang performances nila in the past 2 to 3 years. They are still in their transition period. Let us just hope next year, na makapagheal na sila from their past, makapag-adjust na with their new coaches, at makabangon na sila stronger than ever. Kumbaga explanation doon sa mga nagtataka bakit biglang nag-iba yung quality ng performances nila. Hindi ito excuse. To me this is their best since nagprotest sila sa scores noon. The skill is better than most of their performances before. Plus, their dance is still very good unlike hmmm... other teams. Lagi kong sinasabi na dance is 50% of the score. Masyado nang nakafocus ang mga tao sa cheer.
nung kabataan ko sila ung team to beat tlga.. with tight routine good choreo and they always have intellectual themes din... I was missing that UP.. this one was much better than last year (if i remember correctly. or was that last last year. I know meron tlga year na napanood ako na sabi ko anyare?!) .. and honestly may laban.. tlgang sa mga mishaps lng nagkatalo..
I think what's missing here is that the team's joy while performing their routine. All I can see here are tensed faces. I used to enjoy watching UP Pep perform because of their bright smiles. Halatang kabado ngayon and it shows sa routine. You're a pep squad first, competitor second. Try bringing joy next time, kami na bahala sa kaba at tensyon. 😀
Yeah that's true. That's why after ko panoorin ang NU, UP agad sinearch ko kasi sila lang ung nakikita kong school na tatapat sa NU. But here.. wala.. nawala na yung spirit ng UP sa Podium..
Faster pacing, livelier cheermix, levelled up skills, and a relatable theme. THIS is the UP Pep that I was expecting since 2017, when they came back. It's better late than never. The squad is in good hands with their new coach! I'm so excited for what they have to offer in the future. Mistakes aside, and the never ending bashing from people who do not know any better, I am happy and proud of UP pep! This team was a big step up from the last CDC earlier this year. As a CDC enjoyer for the past 10+ years and an isko, I'm pretty sure they made the UP community and cheer fans proud!

Im an NU fan pero di ko to inexpect sa UP kasi naglelevel up na sila. Sayang yung last pyramid nila. They're starting to adjust sa level ng ibang universities.
The Pep Squad ng Bayan! Bumabalik na yong dance style nila ng 2011 at 2013-2014. Kunting hintay nalang makakabalik na sila sa poduim, I swear. After hearing those controversies, akala ko magsskip ulit ang UP this season sa CDC. At subrang sakit kasi garabi pala yong pinagdaanan ng UP Pep Squad sa kanilang former coaches. Pero ito sila, 2 months to prepare nakabuo pa din sila ng routine and I'm so proud. P.S kaya fan ako ng UP Pep, daming pogi dito e. HAHAHA charrizz.

The new coaches and mentorship did a great job. May not be that so exemplary to have podium finish pero the most improved performance ng up pep since 2012. Hindi siya boring, pacing is good (faster pace compared to previous years), good transitions. Mas nag adapt sila to newer stunts and fast paced transitions. Pero andyan pa rin yung UP character - old school music, floor works, non-mirrored series choreo. May not be the best in execution but you can see the attempt to correct their form. Hindi naman talaga yan agad2x ma improve. As long as constant lang talaga ang training, mag improve din yang form and execution. Siguro i dagdag nlng yung angas from 2010 - 2015 na time.
Yung stunts nila is high difficulty, only if they were able to execute it perfectly, mas mataas sana yung score nila. Nevertheless, it's a good start for a team undergoing in a transition. You still made us Iskolar ng Bayan proud!!!
I've never lost my faith in UP. GRABE ANG IMPROVEMENT THIS YEAR. Syempre, people should really have high expectations towards them kasi sila lang naman ang nag-set din ng standard ng UAAP Cheerdance back then. I'm sure they will be back victorious next year.

I wonder kung ano naging rank ng UP kung nabuong yung major pyramid nila. I dont believe na mas nagimprove ang admu at dlsu kesa UP.kung galit kayo sa UP squad, nawawala na ba pagiging objective.
Sayang yung last pyramid, perfect sana yun kung nakataas yung dapat itataas. Laking factor nung pagkawala niya sa middle part kaya nag-collapse. Still, sobrang nag-improve sila this season. Nice one!
We can see from their routine na unti-unti na silang kumakawala sa norm ng UP pep noon and for me that's the good thing! UP really trying to go out of their comfort zone and grabe talaga ang improvements nila this year despite sa mga circumstances na kinaharap nila with their past coaches. I do believe bigyan lang sila ng time to train lalo pa ngayon bago na coaches nila, makakabalik to ulit sa podium. Sa ngayon natetense pa sila but that's okay. That's the part of their process. Naniniwala ako sa mga bagong coaches nila na unti-unti gagawan nila ng bagong mukha ang UP pep. Congratulations pa din!

See... this is what people are looking for from UP. Yung performance kung performance. No drama, just execution. I feel like people are finding it hard to root for UP from the past years kasi parang "nag-rerebelde" sila sa performances nila (may ibang kahulugan or medyo self-serving yung performance) which is okay naman for others pero competition and fun kasi yung habol mostly ng audience kaya iba yung interpretation nila. I'm happy they are now staying away from those themes and focusing on the fun part. They've done so much this year! Kayang-kaya na mag podium neto next year if they keep it up☺️

This is better. They did very well despite the circumstances. Having taken cheerdance for PE class I understand how difficult it is to train and come up with a routine. Their dance elements actually made me smile, they did crumping so well. They just need to focus on polishing those stunts, medyo messy ung ibang parts at May kaba pero kita naman na kaya nila un. Looking forward to a stronger UP Pep Squad!
If you've been following CDC you'd know this is their strongest. Tho it's not your usual creative and innovative routine you'd binge watch but this is technically their most advanced skills. An insider told me that few mos before the compet walang nakakapag dounle full sa kanila and most flyers di marunong mag ball stretch and rewind but voila. Right now they have the same amount of time for preparations as the rest of the squads. Their coaches are NCC-trained and they also have plenty of time for strength and conditioning. The future is def bright.

It's really heartbreaking to see the crumble at 05:15, but knowing what this team had gone through with the transition ng coaches, I'd say you guys won already just by showing up and completing the routine.

May heart ❤️ still belong to this team. Nung kabataan ko sila na talaga inaabangan ko from year 2008 until now, Hindi ako mapapagood na susuportahan sila. And namimiis ko yung ka astigan nila, yung nakakapanindig balahibo na stunts & pyramid at yung mga paandar nila like yung Bahaghari. Miss those moments.
I can feel it, ever since the switch to a new coaching team, they're now more confident despite the skills still needing work but they now have what it takes to fight even harder next season. Watch out UAAP, Maroons are back after 6 years of not being a podium finisher.
Pretty sure fellow alumni who got used to seeing this squad's successes before their 'downfall' in recent years are happy with these improvements. You can see they are trying more difficult mounts compared to recent years na play safe lagi at malamya. Keep improving UP pep, gotta catch up sa mga nasa podium..😄
UP really switched na into a cheerleading from cheerdance,love that they embraced it. Well in fact bumalik na rin sila sa pagsali sa NCC. I feel that UP would be a hinder for upcoming season. Diff. Squad
Nairaos pero mukhang promising in fairness. Meron na siyang UST vibe sa choreo lol. Pero bet ko yung unique vibe ng UP na rebelious, may hidden meanings, at yung fave ko yung may epic part... yung last time yung may lumipad... one of the most iconic of all time.

I would like to agree sa ibang comments na they want to see UP PEP perform with a RELATABLE THEME. With the improvement UP PEP has now, am pretty sure a Podium Finish will be possible

Sad kung may nambabash sa grupo na ito, lahat po ay naghihirap at doing their best para mag represent ng school in every competition, madaming sacrifices na ginagawa ang bawat estudyante apart from doing pa their best for their acads. Ganun talaga hindi naman lahat makukuha, walang perfect, hindi man mapalad sa mga ganitong events ang mahalaga, sila pa rin maituturing na ilan sa mga pinakamagagaling na mga mag-aaral ng bansa, iskolar nga ng bayan eh. So, sa mga taga UP, ibigay niyo nalang sa ibang school ang title na champion sa mga ganitong events, huwag ng pa stressed, just kidding. Ang masasabi ko lang sa lahat ng grupo, na appreciate po naming mga audiences at fans ang lahat ng inyong paghihirap at pagod. Salamat po sa partisipasyon at ligayang nagagawa niyo para sa bayan.

Mabagal yung routine, medyo lakad sila ng lakad instead of dancing. To move to another position. Cleart they need to change coach.

Same observation. Nagkulang lang ng konti sa energy and joy. Dito parang nagpeperform palang sila, nasa resulta na agad ang isip nila.

We can see from their routine na unti-unti na silang kumakawala sa norm ng UP pep noon and for me that's the good thing! UP really trying to go out of their comfort zone and grabe talaga ang improvements nila this year despite sa mga circumstances na kinaharap nila with their past coaches. I do believe bigyan lang sila ng time to train lalo pa ngayon bago na coaches nila, makakabalik to ulit sa podium. Sa ngayon natetense pa sila but that's okay. That's the part of their process. Naniniwala ako sa mga bagong coaches nila na unti-unti gagawan nila ng bagong mukha ang UP pep. Congratulations pa din!

See... this is what people are looking for from UP. Yung performance kung performance. No drama, just execution. I feel like people are finding it hard to root for UP from the past years kasi parang "nag-rerebelde" sila sa performances nila (may ibang kahulugan or medyo self-serving yung performance) which is okay naman for others pero competition and fun kasi yung habol mostly ng audience kaya iba yung interpretation nila.
I'm happy they are now staying away from those themes and focusing on the fun part. They've done so much this year! Kayang-kaya na mag podium neto next year if they keep it up☺️

This is better. They did very well despite the circumstances. Having taken cheerdance for PE class I understand how difficult it is to train and come up with a routine.
Their dance elements actually made me smile, they did crumping so well. They just need to focus on polishing those stunts, medyo messy ung ibang parts at May kaba pero kita naman na kaya nila un. Looking forward to a stronger UP Pep Squad!

If you've been following CDC you'd know this is their strongest. Tho it's not your usual creative and innovative routine you'd binge watch but this is technically their most advanced skills. An insider told me that few mos before the compet walang nakakapag dounle full sa kanila and most flyers di marunong mag ball stretch and rewind but voila.
Right now they have the same amount of time for preparations as the rest of the squads. Their coaches are NCC-trained and they also have plenty of time for strength and conditioning. The future is def bright.

May heart ❤️ still belong to this team. Nung kabataan ko sila na talaga inaabangan ko from year 2008 until now, Hindi ako mapapagood na susuportahan sila.
And namimiis ko yung ka astigan nila, yung nakakapanindig balahibo na stunts & pyramid at yung mga paandar nila like yung Bahaghari. Miss those moments.
I can feel it, ever since the switch to a new coaching team, they're now more confident despite the skills still needing work but they now have what it takes to fight even harder next season. Watch out UAAP, Maroons are back after 6 years of not being a podium finisher.

Pretty sure fellow alumni who got used to seeing this squad's successes before their 'downfall' in recent years are happy with these improvements. Sad kung may nambabash sa grupo na ito, lahat po ay naghihirap at doing their best para mag represent ng school in every competition, madaming sacrifices na ginagawa ang bawat estudyante apart from doing pa their best for their acads. Ganun talaga hindi naman lahat makukuha, walang perfect, hindi man mapalad sa mga ganitong events ang mahalaga, sila pa rin maituturing na ilan sa mga pinakamagagaling na mga mag-aaral ng bansa, iskolar nga ng bayan eh. So, sa mga taga UP, ibigay niyo nalang sa ibang school ang title na champion sa mga ganitong events, huwag ng pa stressed, just kidding. Ang masasabi ko lang sa lahat ng grupo, na appreciate po naming mga audiences at fans ang lahat ng inyong paghihirap at pagod. Salamat po sa partisipasyon at ligayang nagagawa niyo para sa bayan.
Mas grabe nga mambash nung araw ang tards ng squad na yan. Personal attack pa nga sa NU pep members. Tinawag pa nga na mga fake student athletes, sirkero sa perya, kargador, bagger, at saleslady ng boneless bangus sa SM.
