Rock Sling Hunting Practice. | Smiling Sling Vs. Coconut And Alligator!

- In this video I show the hunting capabilities of a rock sling. By using a coconut which is a small game sized target. I attempt a 10 meter(32.9 feet) shot.
Showing that if you carry your sling on you and are within 10m you can effectively hunt small game. With practice of course.
After the video an alligator pops up and the camera comes back on for an entertaining show!
If you are impressed and want a Smiling Sling for yourself this is how you can get your own!!

THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!
As a member of the coconut family, I can confirm you shot my uncle Tom. I'm not angry because he was incredibly racist and didnt respect apples, bananas or any other fruit 🥥
Hahaha
Serves him right lol
I know it's supposed to be funny but still
>shooting someone cause he has different views. That's something primitive
Mr. Coconut, but ya gotta admit, anybody racist- liking racing, can't be all bad.
RIP uncle coco 🥺 sounds like a wonderful man.
The coconut is no match for the Sultan of Sling!
Lol Thanks Sam I was surprised how easily the Coconut disappeared.
I make these slings too, and I can testify that if your rock is not perfectly ball-shaped, it's not going to go where you want it to because of aerodynamics. That was a lucky shot at the coconut. I'm learning a lot by watching this man. Because of what I'm seeing here, I'm going to significantly shorten my sling cords.
I think oval is also best.
As long as the rock is not jagged
That wasn’t a lucky shot stfu Wayne
@@Jay-fq8uz i can not believe you said this a year later. That is amazing.
@@CG-Gravy oh really
@@Jay-fq8uz you've got so much sas😂
Bro!!! I been cracking coconuts open with rocks since I learned to walk. But seeing that thang burst into little pieces like that was unreal. That’s gotta be a lot of force to break it open like that. Thanks for the vid bro. Keep slingin’
Word is they hit with the force of a 45 caliber in the right hands.
@@Colt1775 , weigh one of the ammo rocks. Then try to figure the velocity using a phone stop watch or a chronometer.
The formula is:
Velocity (in feet per second) X velocity X projectile weight (in grains - so the grainweight can be measured on a grainweight scale of calculated from pounds and ounces) ÷ 450240 = foot/pounds energy, which I believe is Kenitic Energy (KE).
So: V x V x Weight ÷ 450240 = KE.
So a hypothetical: 210 x 210 x 634 ÷ 450240 = 62.098 KE (or fpe) .
For a hand-powered leather sling and a rock, that's a
.tremendous. amount of energy.
I love your attitude. You are very up beat
Great shot!
NICE SHOT!
My grandaddy taught me how to make slingshot and slings....they're cool!
The sound of those bugs and the impending thunderstorm reminds me of warmth. I'm stuck living in the frozen north where its cold 8 months of the year and unpredictable the remaining 4
That sound terrible, I hate the cold lol. We're lucky this year. It was in the 60s today.
I moved to the desert to get away from that, I know your pain
you sound like “Diz nut? Hah! Got em!” guy 😂
Florida man here! I always get close to ‘em but only ever scare ‘em
Mmmaannnn I've been binge watching your channel recently and you annihilated that coconut dude......
Haha! Nailed it! My man!
really cool how the cord breaks the sound barrier
You are demonstrating a cool skill,
but should it really be used
to cause injury and suffering to live animals?
Id love to hunt iguana in florida like this. I need to level up
The gator's cute. He knows when he's gonna get hit then vanished. 😆😄😆
This tool is so simple, yet deadly effective……DONT mess with slingers YALL 😡😆👍
Careful slinging all those rocks in the water. Gator won’t let you have them back
😂
I had to subscribe after that coconut
Damn bro. Coconuts are pretty tough. Impressive.
You, my friend, are VERY cool.
that coco nut didnt stand a chance
good luck on your next gator hunt
Nice shot. I'm with you on the coconut, I can't stand coconut.
he's a brave one!
If you ain't gonna eat it, don't use it as a target
That water is 3 ft. deep. Trust me I would of loved to eat some gator especially from a sling hit.
@@PracticalParacord I get that, but I'm just saying it still could have injured one. But yeah getting one like that would have been awesome.
Very good sir thank u ur welcome sir
Good shooting! Those things are lethal!
Thanks bro
no alligators were harmed in the making of this video :)
Careful Possum Sheriff gonna get ya!!!
I remember as a kid shooting a bb gun at a bird from a ridiculous distance and hitting it first shot. I felt like shit after. Didn't think I'd hit it since from that far away cuz you could watch the arc of the bb move a couple feet.
He said he's not a coconut fan. You gotta eat what you kill.
I will give a like even though the gator was missed if I get to know what kind of crazy, nasal accent is that ;-)
Just discovered this channel, awesome content man!
Appreciate it!
How fast u think u throw?
45-60 m/s
Ya can buss a coconut but ya can’t buss an alligator ? ☝🏽👆🏽☝🏽 😂🤣😂🤣
Gator smart, gator swim 11 meters from trouble 😂🤣😂🤣
I remember one time i was slinging i almost killed a pheasant LOL
You are skilled! That's good shooting. I believe getting to within 10 yards of any game is rare indeed, then all the movement has to be done. No doubt you can hit a coconut from 20 yards while behind a brush blind tho. And yes, the projectile hit with a lot of energy. Thanks for showing.
How come you make so many rocks jump? How deep is it there?
Its only like 3-6 feet deep. The speed is making them skip.
@@PracticalParacord Yes it definitely looks so, but I do sling too,and my stones NEVER skip. Quite the opposite. They spin around the longer axis and most times sink with a silent "blup!!" and almost no splash. Like a knife or something. The flatter ones buzz in the air and veer, a clear sign that they are spinning along the wrong axis too.
I tried placing them sideways on the pocket, but nothing....
@@DoNotPushHere what is your preffered stone shape?
@@memberimakankucingcatfeedi4586 for fun I prefer flat and granulated because they buzz and whistle in the air. But for target practice I prefer the smoothest and most spherical. Football shape seems to be better according to experts but I am no expert at all and it's a hassle for me to position the stone in the pocket. A sphere is the same every time
is there anything more Florida man...
Ill say it for you...about head size too...😂
All due respect ... what we see demonstrated here is that someone who can hit small targets at 20 feet still has difficulty beyond that range due to the spin put on the projectile. This becomes a whole new game beyond 50 feet as either a hunting or combat tool where you may have only one chance to hit your target.
realistically, they were used for combat en mass. youd have hundreds of slingers in a row throwing at a line of hundreds of enemies lined up in a row. ill grant, hitting human sized targets is much easier than say, a rabbit sized one, but all things considered your best bet with hunting is either rabbits that like to sit or into a flock of waterfowl
What no subtitles ?
No wonder these tools was decomissioned 😂
Might want to be careful about that, Gators are a lot smarter than people give them credit for. You might be walking along the Lakeshore or near Tallgrass and happen to encounter that Gator who happens to remember you as that jerk who slung rocks at him.
Kmsl!!! You right Imma be careful.😂😂
' gata preddy stoopid...all that incoming an' he jus sit there
Goliath himself was no match for the sling..
Damn nice shooting man
Im still here watching and slinging.
Been busy dealing with bullshit house repairs our well started sucking up Silt and sludge.
Im still watching you and i still carry my sling on me everywhere i go. I'll post some more videos too.

What's up Joe!!! Happy to hear your EDC consists of a Smiling Sling and you been training that's bad ass. Can't wait to see your new vid. Thanks man I feel alot at ease slinging now and want others to get where it's all natural to you know? House work is always fun especially when you get full of sludge lol.
Holy crap! I gotta get one!

Is it just me or is he trying to launch breeze blocks with a sling there???? I dont blame the croc for legging it that would hurt if it connects🤣🤣🤣
Do a trick shot video 👍
Coming Soon Potna!
But great slinging
You dident get him lol a good 15 inch off and thsts on the surface. In reality it went over him. Closest one bit no hit unfortunately. The coconut hut was brilliant tho

hahaha
Dang homie! That woulda been one dead critter!! Nice shootin
Thanks brother I surprised myself with that one. 20 meters coming soon!
Man you trying hard to get yourself into trouble with game and wildlife. Abusing Gators. They don't take kindly to that sort of thing brother. Some high dollar fines come with dat man.
I don't do that anymore. old vid
🤣 he said cracker 🤣.
Great. We've gone from "...but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts" (1 Sam.17, 45) to "where da coconut at?" Slinging has gone way downhill.
I disagree slinging is very biblical and has its mark in the bible(which I live by)but slinging is much more than that it is an art that only few even know. So unless your in the slinging community you can't claim we're going downhill.
This really made me lol 😆 😂
