    I really like this model, I don't think I would need the power package, but what a great option. Thanks to your customer for allowing us to see this unit and features.

    Nice unit - been looking for a lightweight off grid model. Controls seem more user friendly than many others I have seen. Live in another state so I can’t get one from you. Thanks for all the info!

    Like to see the following enhancements in order:
    1. Delete outside mono speaker
    2. Use European double pane acrylic windows with built in blinds, shades & delete valences= more efficient, more day light & opens interior room
    3. Enclose & heat underbelly & water connections
    4. Use composite sub floor same as Ember & Airstream
    5. Upgrade to true independent suspension with abs disc brakes
    6. Upgrade to Aluminum Frame, saves significant weight especially if one is using the power package.

    Thanks for another informative video, I appreciate your efforts. I have a question, if somebody wanted the convection microwave but did not want the oven or the stove can you do that and just have more counter space,cuz I would be doing most cooking outside and have a portable induction stove top it would be great if you can do that and get that extra counter space.thanks

      Rockwood makes a great RV, but they don't allow for much of any customization. Since the stove and oven are standard on this model, they would not remove it. Swapping a regular microwave for a convection is about as far as they will go when it comes to customization.

    Nice review. How much does that power package add to the cost? Looks like you flashed 10.6K MSRP. I’ve been looking at Jayco trailers as well, hard to find a small trailer with it being already to go off grid. I was thinking the rockwood 20FKS might be nice with this package as I have two teenagers, so need more sleeping options. I’m thinking Rockwood might be better built than Jayco. Thoughts?

    Thank you for another great video! Is it possible to get an additional roof mounted solar panel for a total of four panels? Thanks!

      I appreciate the positive feedback!
      The word from Rockwood is the max number of panels on the Geo Pro is 3. Whether that’s a limitation in the system or simply a physical limitation, I’m not sure.
      We have also had a few customers request 3 panels even without the power package and in most cases Rockwood was able to accommodate that request.

      That is the limit the solar charger can handle you would need a bigger amp solar panel

    Dave, another great vid walk-through. Am considering a mini-lite w/ pwr pkg, so this is very timely.
    Ques, if I may: 1) make/model of the 12v fridge and 2) how many amps does it pull.
    Keep up the good work, guy and Y'all Be Safe!

      It is a Magic Chef, both on the Geos and the Mini Lites. The Geo has a 4.5 cubic 12V fridge, while the Mini has an 11 cubic 12V.
      The 12V fridge requires the most power as it's initially cooling. Once it gets to temperature, about 2 hours after turning on, its energy demand drops significantly. I sent a request to my Rockwood rep asking for more specific info on energy usage for the fridge, so if/when I get that I will let you know.

    • @RousseausRVWalkthroughs
      @RousseausRVWalkthroughs  Год назад +1

      The word from the folks at Rockwood is that it peaks at 6 amps as it's cooling, then drops to between 2 - 3 amps once it's at temperature.

    You mention the dry weight of 3,635 lbs, but do you recall the max gvwr and hitch weight of the unit with the power pack? Have not been able to find any data with the increased weight from the manufacturer or the interwebs. Thanks.

    • @RousseausRVWalkthroughs
      @RousseausRVWalkthroughs  10 месяцев назад +2

      Great question!
      GVWR on the Power Package 19FD is 4432 lbs. It adds about 150 lbs to the hitch weight, so about 580 lbs.

    Hey Dave. Can you run the refrigerator while on the road? If so, would you need to run the inverter?

    • @RousseausRVWalkthroughs
      @RousseausRVWalkthroughs  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hey! You can run the fridge while on the road. It’s a 12V fridge so you will not need to run the inverter.

    Those panels around the batteries look like such a shoddy after thought. Kids in shop class can do better.

    • @CaptVII

      Agreed. Would probably be just as effective to tear off those shoddy panels and just stick some foam pads on the side of the battery and inverter

    What is the hitch weight with the power package?

    • @RousseausRVWalkthroughs
      @RousseausRVWalkthroughs  4 месяца назад

      On a standard 19FD it is about 450 lbs. If adding the Power Package option, it will increase the hitch weight some due to the lithium battery and inverter occupying the front portion of the camper. Somewhere between 50 and 100 lbs extra.
