I don't know why teachers think mass punishment is effective. It's more likely to create more students who will cause problems since they'll probably think "well, if I'm going to get in trouble anyways for doing nothing, then I might as well act up and enjoy myself".
They give homework because they know tou would never study...so you can atleast train on that ..that means if you have somegood memory yull get atl E/2
Im living in germany, on my school we didnt have homework for the first 2years, in 7th class we got them back for some reason (all planned), these 2years were hard because he had to do the same stuff in less time. I mean when youre working at home for the next math test, you do math anyways so why dont you just do the homework, its perfect for your next math test, and even if you get homework in every subject that needs them, you keep on getting better on these subjects because normally you might not even learn for them. I like homework because it makes me smarter because i learn new things without beeing in school
Because it hasn't. A bell is just a indicator that the instruction period is over, so teachers don't lose track of time because that can happen often. Try not complaining about stupid things, when you can think about it. There are simple logical answers for most of your questions. Most times, the obvious answer is correct. In this case, it's just for that purpose. Derp!
When a teacher dismisses me late and I get to my next class late, I get lectured on why I should always be on time. When I explain I got released late out of class they say no excuses.
Remove class punishments! One kid does something wrong, then boom everyone gets in trouble. Kids who are doing good, get punished for being in the class. Which, totally defeats the entire purpose of school.
In my school, our classes usually place desks in certain places and call them "groups". I'm usually in the worst group. I, one time, was in a group full of gossip girls, and they distracted me with the talking and all the questions they asked me.
You get bullied that's just sad Haven't got bullied sense 6th grade you got to stick up for your self and get people involve I did build my way up now I'm popular and Have a lot of friends. ;)

Major Orange Yeah, "go tell the teacher" , "fight with words", fuck that shit, most teachers sound like Hillary Clinton. The only way dealing with bullies is to fight back but that gets kids kicked out so you really cant do shit. The only thing you could do is pray and survive it.
I hate it when teachers blame you for no reason and make a fuss out of it for no reason. Then they say "I saw you doing it". i am just like "How can you see what has not happened"
i had this teacher few years ago that always blamed me and my friend even tho we didnt do anything.. it really started to piss me of after few weeks of getting all the blame and my parents getting mad all the time
Here's my top 10 things to make school better: 10. Wake up at a LATER time (Like 10:00) 9. No school uniforms 8. Better lunch (Or let us eat a small snack in class) 7. Teach us stuff we will use later on in life. Don't teach us about crap in the 1700's, Math problems we won't use at all, and languages we don't need to use (We have Dora the Explorer and Go Diego for that) 6. Make school hours shorter. 5. Let us use the restrooms when we have to. 4. More field trips 3. Less textbooks 2. No Standardized Testing 1. No more homework.
i mean no offence but do you even why uniforms were created ..do some research on googole and yeah im too lazy to type from a phone ...ut was originaly ment to shrink the gap between people having different economic standards like for instance youd not get to teaze or bully someone if they wear the same dress again and again and if the dress is worn out or even obsolute
9 can depend on what school you applied to. Have you looked into those School Districts they hand out? It'll usually tell you if uniform is required or not 8 can depend on your teacher. Usually they'll be ok with it as long as you don't make a mess. 6 once you get in high school or if you already are, getting good grades will shorten the classes you need. Juniors have like 8 periods and Seniors I believe have between 4-6
You American struggle with school. In the high schools of Norway we have buffets in the cafeteria, less homework and we discuss School our problems. Hell, there's even a school in the north that doesn't have any homework and students do much better. The school day is maximum six hours and sometimes five. They teach us how to get jobs, what professions are wanted in society right now and they basically secure our future. That's why Norway is number one HDI
Once boys beside me were talking and I got a detention. 2 weeks later, my class got a detention and I got a detention and I was not even there because I was at the dentist. More detentions at that school for nothing. A teacher made me sit on the wall because a kid look like me who was being bad.
#11: Stop making students wake up at the ass-crack of dawn before everything else fucking wakes up. #12: Teach kids what they actually need to know for life. Seriously, how is solving for x or reading Hamlet supposed to help me balance a checkbook, file my taxes, or pay off a mortgage. The IRS doesnt care if i can find the square root of pi, if i dont know how to pay them, I'm fucked. #13: Stop forcing kids to wear uniforms EVERYDAY!!! Students should be able to wear what they want. Just because im wearing a shirt and tie, doesnt mean i feel like a scholar all of a sudden. Students feel more comfortable if they can wear the clothes they want. Uniforms should be used as a sort of safety precaution like if a student gets lost during a field trip, they can find their class by the uniform they wear. #14: Let students carry backpacks. i understand the situation of students sneaking in weapons into the schools, but i cant fucking carry all of my books to my classes all damn day, everyday, especially not having a place to put them when i get to class. #15: Let students choose their own classes. What i really mean by that is stop making them go to the same damn classes every year. Like, its mandatory to be in Science, Math, Reading, and History every fucking year, or that we have to learn a new language for two years. Let us go to the classes we want to go to. #16: End corporal punishment in schools. This especially goes out to private or charter schools. Its understanding about wanting to set a child straight, but whooping a child shouldn't be put into the hands of school administrators, thats the parents' job. Also, methods of corporal punishment in schools are too extreme, like paddling. Seriously, what masochist taught this was good idea? Smacking a child on the behind with a thick wooden board is dangerous and can really hurt them, and im not talking about "i dont think ill be able to sit down for awhile" hurt, im talking about "nearly dying and having severe disabilities for life" hurt. A couple students actually died when they got paddled, and another was paralyzed after getting paddled. You cant say you're keeping a child safe if you're doing this to them.
OH.MY.GAWD. There is one of those in EVERY SINGLE Class its usually girls here in my country they are so annoying I..I....I could talk about them for hours they're just ANNOYING
okay, so one second we'll be discussing the Fermi paradox, next I'll be discussing the meaning of life, quantum theory, the ethics of cloning, the infinite universe theory, and absolute nihilism, causing you to lose all sense, meaning, and worth of life and giving you an existential crisis. /s XD, I'm losing my shit how this would go. I wanna try it.
my computer teacher is always high on drugs and says his students whom he trained are now running some notorious hacker group and they leave a thunder sign behiend wherever they hack
i wake up, and go to school. I stay there for two meals, one of which I didn't eat, and I go home. No breaks. Upon arriving at home, I put down my bag and proceed to continue my schoolwork for the next 4 hours. I start school before the sun rises and I finish homework after it sets. Please tell me it's fair. I want to hear you say it. I want you to lie to my face and tell me to work without a glimpse of sunlight.
Thats why i dont do homework. Im starting 12th grade and you could count the amount of times ive actually done homework on one hand, and my grades are almost all good.
I disagree with this list. If you want to improve schooling, start actually raising your kids right. The largest problems in our school system isn't about the system, it's with the expectation of what they're supposed to do with children who show no signs of wanting to be there, no respect for staff, and no respect for each other. It's a culture and social problem, not an institution problem.
Well there is an issue there. Everyone is raised differently and not all the same. You can raise a child to be understanding but that doesn't entirely mean they will always be that way for life. Also, the system now doesn't work very well with students having to take classes they don't care for. Some classes that you are forced to take won't be needed for some careers.
That's not an issue with the school system. If the way you're raising your child is so foreign and alien that they cannot operate in a classroom, then that problem is at home and cannot be solved in a class room. Behaviors taught at home will override behaviors taught in school, every time. You're also not meant to use everything taught to you in school in your career in life, the point of having diverse and mandatory classes is to establish a broad base for you to start on, and to decide your interests for your higher education or career post-education. Plus it would just be tragic if we only ever taught people what they need for one distinct career path, a lot of what you learn in school and post school will have nothing to do with your career, but it builds a knowledge base for you and a cultural and scholarly understanding of the world you exist in.
I'm in middle school, and there is literally NO bullies. I mean it's not like everyone is perfectly nice to each other, but they aren't really bullies.
Cameron Horn have security guards in every hallway and if they see bullying slap cuffs on bully and have them spend a week in a cell no bail. and if they get worse then life in prison
SIxPathsFoxSage 9 are you fucking high? Just put them in isolation and then if it gets worse then take away their break and lunch for the term (semester). And if it keeps happening, exclusion.
That isn't an excuse for being lazy, some people find it very hard to remember things and to learn. I do most the time, 9 times out of ten I feel like an idiot ._.
WRONG!!! Wrong, wrong, soooo wrong!!!! There are many ways to maintain a B average in the American school system that have NOTHING to do with memory, ability, or homework!
I agree with self defense bc teachers don't understand our generation like for example at my school they said if a person starts with you just walk away. Walking away is not going to help its called self defense.
I asked the teacher to use the bathroom and I accidently said blood is coming out of uterus I need to use the restroom unless you blood on the chair then he told me to go the office
Jesus Christ one time in kindergarten I had to go to the bathroom but my teacher wouldn't let me so I shat on her desk That's when I learned about suspension
If you include homework, school days really last 10+ hours a lot of the time. Add in eight hours for sleep and you get to have a life for just six hours a day for five days of the week. It's no wonder why students perform better with little to no homework. I also feel like standardized testing really should be abolished. We don't need to spend grade school and high school learning how to take a standardized test that has no effect on our future just so our schools can get more government funding. I remember being told it would be the single most important test we would have in our life. What did I do? I stayed up late pretty much every day that week (the test was split up into five days), didn't study at all for it, and, despite being an honor student, barely passed.
amen, also if they actually assign hw it should be at least challenging so people learn stuff. I went to a catholic school and the stuff was pretty easy. I like to be challenged so I should be. Children should be able to ask to take harder classes and have more challenging homework and projects.
Schools should allow people to actually talk in class,I can understand when the teacher is talking, but whenever we're just doing a worksheet students should be allowed to talk without being punished
I live in a country where english isn't our main language and in english class this year I was teaching my friend a few things and the teacher didn't let me help him, and I told her "Hey, I'm just helping him because he's not understanding" fun fact: my friend says he learned more with me than he did with his english teachers, lol
White Death 54 No. I don't agree. Other people wanna do there work and don't wanna catch up on work. I don't think students want cunts laughing loud as fuck or trying to be funny by ragging another person, it's distracting.

I was bullied in school big time because of my cerebral palsy and having autism and and almost took my own life because of it. It really needs to stop in schools.
yes and when the bullies are football/basketball players, where i live if they fight someone who does not play football or basketball will get suspended but the player will have no punishment
i live in england too, i dont go to school anymore but they wouldnt do anything about mental health. They knew i had various mental health problems but wouldnt do anything to help.
Group projects are the worst, I'm the one who usually does the work and my teammates do jack shit. And the teachers/parents always say you should study instead of sitting your ass on that chair playing games, to that I say NO, I have learned more on my computer then I have at school. I spend 2 hrs a day on my computer and 7hrs a day at school so don't be tellin' me that computers are useless and make you fail in school. And I agree with no homework, it causes stress which leads up to failing in certain classes and a lot of test. I think us students are smarter then our teachers.
I really hate homework I mean it's a waste of time and then when people don't get it the next day teachers think oh well he or she wasn't paying attention I guess but really it's because we have to stay till ten to eleven o'clock doing something that we should be doing in the six hours we have .
>Teach more PSHE and less geometry and algebra. I mean, don't get rid of the less useful lessons, just give less of them. >Lessen homework. They want you to go outside and be healthy yet they give you hours of homework a night. >Make the checkups on schools more regular. In England, an OFSTED inspection is only issued every 2 to 3 years on schools, even less on nurseries and they aren't very organised or consistent. >Either put all schools in uniforms or get rid of uniforms and dress codes. Different schools having different rules on clothing is ridiculous. >Shorten lessons to 30 minutes but have double lessons of different subjects at certain times. >Put in more PE rather than Technology and IT. Half of the stuff you learn in IT is things you already know. PE is more important because fitness is depleating in the newest generation. >Make lessons more fun so students enjoy it. Like in science, do more practical lessons; in Tech, make things you want to make; etc. >And many more
The tech stuff is true, in my IT elective all we are learning about is stuff like Microsoft Word and such...that's important but I'm pretty sure us kids all took the class to learn how to code. And I'm willing to bet that when we do get around to coding it's gonna be some fake crap like Scratch, which no real developer would ever use.
I have to disagree with your first point, both algebra and geometry have practical uses. Algebra is a useful mathematical tool in and of itself, but it also reinforces general problem solving skills in more abstract ways by illustrating things like finding non-obvious relationships between two or more things in a given situation. Many DIY projects benefit from being able to use simple geometry to calculate angles, lengths, surface areas and volumes. For example, if someone wants carpet/refinish the floors in a room and/or paint the walls the ability to divide a room, especially a non rectangular one, into geometric shapes allows one to reach much better estimates on the amount of supplies. Also even if one doesn't plan to do it themselves, it makes it easier to determine if an estimate from someone else is reasonable or not.

Officer 112 how about have security guards everywhere and if someone starts verbally or physically bullying slap cuffs on them and spend 4 days in a cell and if they get worse and keep going then life in prison
But then the only thing depending on it would be your best interest. I know that would definitely motive some kids. Also, you'd probably be surprised at how many kids would be open to doing it if they didn't look at it as a chore. I absolutely hate reading now because I was assigned so. Much. Reading. When I was in school. It had such a negative effect on me that lasts to this day.
Most of these are in effect in Britain, but budget cuts are being made so our teachers are being fired, whilst the government is also making GSCE's harder
I think the problem with our school system is that the government changes it every year. It just needs to be left alone, or better taken out of the hands of government and put under an independent body ideally run by people in the education system who actually know what needs to be improved, scrapped, added etc. Instead of being controlled by MPs who only make changes to suit their agendas :/
Symbiotic Weapon Oh yeah that's true. They give South Korea and China as examples yet their teenage suicide rates are unbelievably high. Is that the standard we want to achieve? Grades are important but so is the welfare of children.
Once you are 20, and you have to live on your own, you are going to be homeless.. And then once you are asking yourself, why you don't have a life, then look back at this comment and see how foolish you were.
Stop giving us homework. I don’t mind if you eliminate homework and we have to stay in school a bit longer. But don’t give us work outside of school. 1. You aren’t there when we do it, idk why you expect it to be done. 2. I want to hang out with my friends. We have social lives. 3. Why even give us a weekend if it’s filled with homework. I’m not even joking sometimes my bag is literally Mount Everest. 4. The work we do in homework is the exact same work we do in class. It’s in my brain already. Why are you making me go over it. 5. If you’re like me, then you leave everything last minute. Chances are you do. So yep, 11pm. We start the homework. We get it done by 1am. Then we go on our phones. We go to sleep at 2am. Do you want us to be zombies or not?
well, it may be shitty, but how else will you be able to measure both student's levels of knowledge, and teachers' level of professionalism and job performance?
They should give you classes that are a lot more useful than trigonometry and U.S. history. Examples being personal finance, career ed (teaching you how to apply for jobs), cooking, and mental health. Also, they should shorten the lengths of school days and years. And start later in the morning so high schoolers aren't deprived of sleep due to homework, binge-watching RUclips videos, and playing video games. Here's what I should school should end up being like: Schedules: Elemetary: 9 AM-2 PM Middle School/Junior High: 9 AM-2:30 PM High School:9 AM-3PM New classes: 1. Money Management 2. Home Economics 3. Job Ed 4. Communication 5. Mental Health 6. Basic Survival Skills 7. Computer Science 8. Civics and Government Oh yeah, GET RID OF FREAKING HOMEWORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
USA: gives hours of homework by first grade Also USA: has a decent education system Finland: gives very little homework and only in high school Also Finland: has the best education in the world Coincidence? I think not
They should make calculus and Algebra electives not mandatory classes. Who in the fuck outside of anything scientific, medical, tech worlds need this ? Been out of school for 10 years never once used these two. Putting more work into learning and remember basic math, percentages and taxes would be better mandatory.
The reason we have those classes is not so we use it in our daily lives. No, we have those classes that require advanced levels of thinking because they expand your brain and help you learn new things more effectively. Thus making you a smarter person in general.
Because at the age where they teach Algebra, and even calculus, people don't know yet whether they want to go into scientific, medical or technical. A such, they give all students the knowledge they need to be able to pursue those studies.
bjehulk That's just BS. Not many people can just understand it and given that there are shitty teachers there probably not gonna learn it or have already given up and think they suck. It shouldn't be mandatory. Are saying those who have a hard time and shitty teachers should fell cause it's there to "make you smart" . It doesn't make you smarter at all. There are other ways to learn critical thinking. For people who have no plans to work in fields that need these are just wasting time cause they will never use it again or apply the rules of it to life.
Thats both a good and a bad thing. You just mentioned the good, but especially math and science is creating a lot of stress among the stundents, more so then other subjects. And as the girl above said, she didnt even use the knowledge so it was basically useless in that regard. A lot of people dont get use of this knowledge, therefore it is in a lot if cases unneccessary and has its downsides.
i hope you become a great administrator. don't go crazy with your limited power like the ones at my school. It's better for the students to like you so they'll also respect you.
Less homework.. and yes, you may be thinking that in just a random kid saying that, but im trying to make a point here. We do ENOUGH schoolwork in SCHOOL for over 6 hours. Breaks are about 15 minutes depending where you are from (im in the UK). And we dont need anymore work for home, going home from school is when we are free, and we can do anything we want in our free time. Most of the homework is just a child time waster, like my first technology homework was copy and paste 10 photos of fluffy dolls. I mean like, cmon... tell us what do we learn from that.. when we learn how to do knitting, that has nothing to do with that..
you can kill a disease, you can't kill bullying. Its something worse that, more of a parasite within the human mind that is normally planted at a early age through abuse of some kind. Sometimes its parental "tough love" or the events around them that shape them into what they become. While indeed love and friendship could solve it, we could never extinguish the wildfire of bullying. You might as well brainwash everyone on the planet and kill off all emotions of bullying before we could do it with todays standards.
BloodyBullets01 a diseases can spread quickly. Some diseases you cannot really be killed. Find me some diseases that cannot be stopped. I am sure you will find some. Bullying is one of those diseases. Can cancer be easily stopped or killed? Which; cancer is a disease just in case. Just like bullying. Sure you can minimize un-killable diseases but you will never stop them completely.
Whaaaaaaat? It's human nature. All that matters is you don't show bias in grading. Every teacher has favorites, just like you have favorites for friends. We have favorites in food, music, sports, colors and people students are no different. You can't help it.
I know, I’ve had to put up with my Spanish teacher hating me and my friends to the point of picking us out of an entire talking class and threatening to go to the principle office when the entire class talks. She also calls us out for stupid s***. Example: my friend, let’s cwll him George; was writing his homework in his notebook and didn’t have his textbook out because he was busy jotting down that nights homework. One minute later, teacher “calls him out” in front of entire class for “slacking” and not having his book out.
***** I was using the Pigs can fly term, you say something impractical/impossible "I think 8 AM to 2:45 PM is too short" so in this example "I wish I had superpowers", and then I say something as equally impractical/impossible like "I love stepping in dog poo" or in this situations alternative "and I wish pigs could fly.".
The worst teacher I've ever had was probably Mrs. Moore. Some kid was calling me racist for putting a Pepe meme in a project I was doing. I told her and took *THE OTHER KID'S WORD*!!! I also have a very short fuse, so when I got mad at a kid, she said that if a Syrian refugee can handle bombs and terrorists (which they can't and that's why they're moving to much safer countries) that I could handle bullying. I have no idea how she had the mental capacity to be a teacher.
I do agree with homework ONLY IF they don't give us weekend homework, be reasonable, and make sure they talk to other teachers before giving us it (to prevent having homework from every class), all that or the school days are shortened so we actually have time to do it.
Once i got so triggered about my homework i shredded it and had a bonfire. The next day the teacher was like where's ur homework? I'm like i burnt it and she was chill and my grade didn't go down lol.
50 minutes to an hour is plenty of time to find out how to find a unit rate, discover the meaning behind a passage from a play, etc. I'm not against homework, I just think you should not be graded on it. Like if I'm getting all the questions right on a test but not doing my homework I don't think I should get a B from the class. Same goes for respect in class or having fun etc. I get that teachers don't want you to disrespect them, mess around, text during class, etc.. But I think they should find another way to deal with it then giving you a grade for it. So I'm the smartest person alive, I get all the questions right, I finish before everyone else... but I happen to be mean and disrespectful and I don't do my homework because I don't need to, so I get a D or C in the class. wtf.
Top 10 ways to make school better. 1. Hire hot teachers 2. Fired 😭🍼/lazy teachers. 3. Remove useless subjects. 4. Remove group projects. 5. Allow fighting this will teach life skills. 6. Create better food. 7. No more bullying. 8. Shorted school hours. 9. Four day school week. 10. More school funds.
Cmon American schools, let’s allow breaks outside. Specifically high schools and middle school. K-5 we get recess but after that students are stuck inside sitting in hard chairs all day. The most breaks we get right now are walking to other classes.
Math homework is definitely for the practice of it, but that's why I'm for the "flipped classroom" idea for math. Learn the lesson at home and come into school to do the practice. As it is, if students get stuck on a problem for their homework, they either don't get the chance to ask for help or they get in trouble for not having the problem done. Math homework isn't necessary if they have the chance to practice within the classroom.
I'd say 10, maybe 15 questions. Not too much. Nothing that would take 30 minutes or more. So, if each question takes about 5 minutes, have it be 2, maybe 4 questions. At 1 minute per problem, maybe there could be 15 questions.
Brandon Nope i live in europe and they have a better school system the only case of homework is when u didnt finish something in that particular class, so yea the Europe School System is sooo much better
If there's a fight, both people are held equally as responsible. Um...... IN WHAT FUCKING UNIVERSE IS THIS LOGICAL????? SELF DEFENSE MOTHERFUCKERS. HOW YOU COULD PUNISH PEOPLE FOR SELF DEFENSE. WHATTT???!!!!!
We used to use it every now and then but we're now switching to Quizlet Live (which is better imo) It's fun and can help you learn some new words but honestly I think there are better ways to learn.
i think everyone has those there about the same except you can go on the internet and use a computer on them my teacher uses them mosty like a chalk board.
we get 0 breaks, only lunch, foods sucks anyways, we have 4 minutes to get to our next class and takes forever to get through the hall, almost no sunlight through the windows, each class is freezing that I'm even cold with a hoodie on, all I do is write essays all day and in math they put the smart kids which includes me in a class with the not so smart ones making it impossible to learn, each day I have to go home and teach myself the lesson again through lessons and tutorials online
Not having air conditioning really ensures that everyone at my school can learn at their highest potential without distraction, especially when its 100° F and even hotter in the building.
Yeah, its been as cold as 50 something degrees in my building (which feels the same as being outside in mid 30's temperature) and as hot as the late 80's (which feels like mid 90's temperatures outside or hotter)
But if they fired bad teachers who would teach at my school?
+xGhostGaming same
+xGhostGaming LOL same
good teachers
Robots
no one just do what ever u like at school like burn i down burn it burn it burn it burn it burn the school to the ground
Fix the system where one asshole gets the whole class in trouble.
Group punishment is such bs. Since when is punishing the goodies okay just because one douche threw a fucking paper ball across the classroom like???/
Dontknomuch yes agreed
If that happens again I'm not doing it
yep. I got three detentions for explaining that four times.
I don't know why teachers think mass punishment is effective. It's more likely to create more students who will cause problems since they'll probably think "well, if I'm going to get in trouble anyways for doing nothing, then I might as well act up and enjoy myself".
Eliminate bullying? Yeah, hold on, I just gotta end world hunger real quick.
Hugh Mungus give me sometime to end all illness
Hugh Mungus Is that sexual harassment????
Gabrowser Ravacci lol you seen that😂😂😂😃
Hugh Mungus lol thats funny
Hugh Mungus that's actually a good one
I hate homework and always will... 90% of it is stuff we already know or bonus stuff that won't help with anything! BAN HOMEWORK NOW!
YAH BAN HOMEWORK
They give homework because they know tou would never study...so you can atleast train on that ..that means if you have somegood memory yull get atl E/2
BAN HOMEWORK NAO!
Please ban homework😭😭😭😭😭😭

you said "ball" in the last sentence
Ainars Tomsons You're right
When a teacher dismisses me late and I get to my next class late, I get lectured on why I should always be on time. When I explain I got released late out of class they say no excuses.
Remove class punishments! One kid does something wrong, then boom everyone gets in trouble. Kids who are doing good, get punished for being in the class. Which, totally defeats the entire purpose of school.
TheBattlefieldGamer totally agree
TheBattlefieldGamer It literally sucks when that happens.
TheBattlefieldGamer as bad as it is sometimes the person who did it doesn't confess so the teachers are forced to do it.
TheBattlefieldGamer I totally agree
In my school, our classes usually place desks in certain places and call them "groups". I'm usually in the worst group. I, one time, was in a group full of gossip girls, and they distracted me with the talking and all the questions they asked me.
Totally agree with all of these, especially the bullying, homework and teachers parts. They're the worst parts of school!
184natasha yeah
bullies are just Retards...
Agreed!
You get bullied that's just sad
Haven't got bullied sense 6th grade you got to stick up for your self and get people involve I did build my way up now I'm popular and Have a lot of friends. ;)
Worst part from grades 3-8? THOSE TESTS WE TAKE TO SEE IF WE LEARNED EVERYTHING WE NEEDED TO BE TAUGHT IN SCHOOL
life if u don't like homework
Im living in germany, on my school we didnt have homework for the first 2years, in 7th class we got them back for some reason (all planned), these 2years were hard because he had to do the same stuff in less time. I mean when youre working at home for the next math test, you do math anyways so why dont you just do the homework, its perfect for your next math test, and even if you get homework in every subject that needs them, you keep on getting better on these subjects because normally you might not even learn for them. I like homework because it makes me smarter because i learn new things without beeing in school

Major Orange Yeah, "go tell the teacher" , "fight with words", fuck that shit, most teachers sound like Hillary Clinton. The only way dealing with bullies is to fight back but that gets kids kicked out so you really cant do shit.
The only thing you could do is pray and survive it.

Haha! 👍
Homework should be done in School!
Then it shouldn't be called Homework! It would be called School EXTRA Work! 😃
I hate it when teachers blame you for no reason and make a fuss out of it for no reason. Then they say "I saw you doing it". i am just like "How can you see what has not happened"
In front of the class *
i had this teacher few years ago that always blamed me and my friend even tho we didnt do anything..
it really started to piss me of after few weeks of getting all the blame and my parents getting mad all the time
Nayib Motin really
Osku thegamer what grade are you in?? (You sound like you're in 2nd or 3rd grade)

Get rid of homework and bullies
Caleb Rendon fuck off you are not getting rid of me

Easy have school start at 10 am instead of 8 when no one is awake
My school starts at 7:30
most high schools in my area start 7 am
My high school started at 8:40
My elementary school used to start at 7:30 or so and now in middle school it starts at 8:10
my school starts at freaking 6:30 man you got off easy i have to wake up 5:46 everyday man
Here's my top 10 things to make school better:
10. Wake up at a LATER time (Like 10:00)
9. No school uniforms
8. Better lunch (Or let us eat a small snack in class)
7. Teach us stuff we will use later on in life. Don't teach us about crap in the 1700's, Math problems we won't use at all, and languages we don't need to use (We have Dora the Explorer and Go Diego for that)
6. Make school hours shorter.
5. Let us use the restrooms when we have to.
4. More field trips
3. Less textbooks
2. No Standardized Testing
1. No more homework.
only if the school days are shorter otherwise it would effect after school activitys
i mean no offence but do you even why uniforms were created ..do some research on googole and yeah im too lazy to type from a phone ...ut was originaly ment to shrink the gap between people having different economic standards like for instance youd not get to teaze or bully someone if they wear the same dress again and again and if the dress is worn out or even obsolute
Tch soooooooooooooooo true.
I'm 14, but I'm pretty sure some of that is gonna be needed for a job. Unless you want to be a RUclipsr, like I do.
9 can depend on what school you applied to. Have you looked into those School Districts they hand out? It'll usually tell you if uniform is required or not
8 can depend on your teacher.
#School #Norway
Oh and there are strict rules on bullying
monzer faisal All of these comments make me want to refuse to go to school, no matter what.
How so?
Dex Starr First off, be nice. And secondly I am not even from norway. I live here
Once boys beside me were talking and I got a detention. 2 weeks later, my class got a detention and I got a detention and I was not even there because I was at the dentist. More detentions at that school for nothing. A teacher made me sit on the wall because a kid look like me who was being bad.
Mr. Laboratory that's terrible. I hate teachers sometimes
I hate some teachers!
not all of em
Where's the other ines
Ones
Umm we all do wake up at a reasonable time. We all learn what we need to know. We all wear what we want -NO TANK TOPS GALS. and we carry backpacks
Where the fuck do you go to school that requires an extreme dress code and no backpacks?
Gaming Its required at all schools here in Shelby County and at a lot of other schools in the US.
that one person that reminds the teacher about homework

School hours shorter please make happen
i wake up, and go to school.
Sir HYBRITONIUM do homework faster
@@twovoa2151 me
Thats why i dont do homework.
Exactly.
Shut up
That's not an issue with the school system.
Deus Ex Machina Amen

I have an idea for how to stop bullying: make it a criminal offense punishable by either a fine or incarnation
Yea... The autofill on my phone is glitched atm...
Or teach everyone to stand up for themselves and others and not a raise millions of victims.
No
Or just teach your kids to have thick skin. Theres never going to be an end to bullying but that doesn't mean there isnt ways to handle it
+deeznutz deeznutz thicker skin isn't an option for many people. Besides, it's the teachers' job to crack down on bullying early.

SIxPathsFoxSage 9 are you fucking high? Just put them in isolation and then if it gets worse then take away their break and lunch for the term (semester). And if it keeps happening, exclusion.
Tear Clan wtf? You don't have to take away their damn lunch. You can take away their break and everything, but taking their lunch is too far..
Doing well in school relies on your memory entirely. Here I am, with a bad memory and completely helpless.
That isn't an excuse for being lazy, some people find it very hard to remember things and to learn. I do most the time, 9 times out of ten I feel like an idiot ._.
Well, if you can't retain information, then you're going to be an idiot anyway. Retention is basically what learning is all about.
WRONG!!! Wrong, wrong, soooo wrong!!!! There are many ways to maintain a B average in the American school system that have NOTHING to do with memory, ability, or homework!
Olivia P Please elaborate.
Most part u do need memory isn't it embarrassing when u say to the teacher "I forgot" or idk
I agree with self defense bc teachers don't understand our generation like for example at my school they said if a person starts with you just walk away. Walking away is not going to help its called self defense.
Jasmine Goodwin I totally agree with you.
Jasmine Goodwin Walk away then if they come with you and plan to beat you up then go for it.
They're all talk.
I pissed myself when I was in first grade...the teacher wouldn't let me go to the bathroom...I was frikkin SIX for God's sake!
Jesus Christ You should have walked in front of class and peed everywhere. Teacher may be fired then if you play good in director's cabinet.
I asked the teacher to use the bathroom and I accidently said blood is coming out of uterus I need to use the restroom unless you blood on the chair then he told me to go the office
Jesus Christ one time in kindergarten I had to go to the bathroom but my teacher wouldn't let me so I shat on her desk
That's when I learned about suspension
Wasn't it much simpler to just piss on desk, instead of shitting it? I mean you had to hold piss inside and wait for poop.
You don't tell a 6 year old they can not go to the bathroom. Because they will
If you include homework, school days really last 10+ hours a lot of the time.
Watchmojo please do more school oriented videos. Also share this video to improve and show how shitty the American education system is
Your grammer is a perfect example.
Boi
amen, also if they actually assign hw it should be at least challenging so people learn stuff. I went to a catholic school and the stuff was pretty easy. I like to be challenged so I should be. Children should be able to ask to take harder classes and have more challenging homework and projects.

But the class will be too loud if teachers let the kids talk
I live in a country where english isn't our main language and in english class this year I was teaching my friend a few things and the teacher didn't let me help him, and I told her "Hey, I'm just helping him because he's not understanding"

Nick Swag. How was that achieved? I'm curious.

What about better mental health support?
MeliaTheMuffin You should already have a support worker at your school unless you live in America. Here in England they have that.
i live in england too, i dont go to school anymore but they wouldnt do anything about mental health.

What I have to do 7 hours of school!
Homework is the most shitty crap fucking BULLSHIT and it should be FUCKING deleated
Homework was previously used as a punishment, and now it's used for 'PRACTICE'? I AM IN SCHOOL FOR 6-7 HOURS FOR A REASON.
Oh got, not scratch... Ughhhhh that was the bane of my existence. I was excited for Python but it turned out to be pretty bad too...
Ugh we're doing binary and hexadecimal, it's useless and boring. To add onto that, our teacher's a complete prick

There is just no way to eliminate bullies. They can try their hardest but it just won't happen.
Officer 112 executing bullies........im not crazy

MlpDovalover 56 Dude I mean that's kinda a good idea without the cell crap
I think homework should be still a thing but should not count towards your grade
Grades are pretty silly in general.
if the grades were removed, then most of the students wouldn't try to learn at all.
they wouldnt want to learn the things that dont interest them. So if a student is learning, its out of pure passion.
Exactly. People say "I like reading but not for a grade. I like learning but not for a grade."
Most of these are in effect in Britain, but budget cuts are being made so our teachers are being fired, whilst the government is also making GSCE's harder
true
I think the problem with our school system is that the government changes it every year. It just needs to be left alone, or better taken out of the hands of government and put under an independent body ideally run by people in the education system who actually know what needs to be improved, scrapped, added etc. Instead of being controlled by MPs who only make changes to suit their agendas :/
I think we're (as in Britain) focusing too much on trying to match/beat other countries as opposed to actually improving the education of youth
Symbiotic Weapon Oh yeah that's true. They give South Korea and China as examples yet their teenage suicide rates are unbelievably high. Is that the standard we want to achieve? Grades are important but so is the welfare of children.

Teacher: Do you know what SAT means?
Me: Shitty Ass Test.
XD
Skull Tear lol
well, it may be shitty, but how else will you be able to measure both student's levels of knowledge, and teachers' level of professionalism and job performance?
***** " OOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH "
Aleks Yakubson Hmm, by putting kids in realistic situations, not staring at a screen? Yes, I know the irony.
Here's what I should school should end up being like:
Schedules:
Elemetary: 9 AM-2 PM
Middle School/Junior High: 9 AM-2:30 PM
High School:9 AM-3PM
New classes:
1. Money Management
2. Home Economics
3. Job Ed
4. Communication
5. Mental Health
6. Basic Survival Skills
7. Computer Science
8. Civics and Government
Oh yeah, GET RID OF FREAKING HOMEWORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gabe Glaze wow not bad
Gabe Glaze And some math stuff (Decimals, Percentage, etc.)
Not Algebra stuff though. Those are impractical
Communication class? Survival skills? What the hell are you on about?!
Gabe I agree with you on everything but history it’s interesting and an important part of who we are
Top 10 ways to make school better
...
...
...
#1: No school
Lol if you want no school just move to a poor country. Just take in mind that you'll be working at a young age instead xD lol
Knight And SpaceShip but there might be schools there...
Alright so which slum would you like to live in?
Hero Boss
Hero Boss revolutionary my goodness
USA: gives hours of homework by first grade
Also USA: has a decent education system
Finland: gives very little homework and only in high school
Also Finland: has the best education in the world
Coincidence? I think not
They should make calculus and Algebra electives not mandatory classes. Who in the fuck outside of anything scientific, medical, tech worlds need this ?
Been out of school for 10 years never once used these two. Putting more work into learning and remember basic math, percentages and taxes would be better mandatory.
Annnd thats why swedens school system is better, a lot less mandatory classes
Working on becoming an administrator of a school system/district one day. This video is actually pretty neat.
For gods sake get rid of Those massive schools.
i hope you become a great administrator. don't go crazy with your limited power like the ones at my school. It's better for the students to like you so they'll also respect you.
please don't fall victim to rules! At least the ones that really don't need to be enforced.
MotionCraft My school in America is 8 hours and they're thinking about making summer shorter too
MotionCraft I always do my homework in the last minute
they think that more work means you'll be better
when it's the complete opposite
MotionCraft we have 8 hours with 5 mins in between classes and it is in the 10 ten hardest schools in the state so stop complaining
MotionCraft it lasts 5 mins for me
Give each student their own teaching assistant.
And give each teacher their own supervisor
Good luck getting rid of bullying...seriously, it's total bullshit, i'm not lying good luck
Bullying is like a disease.
you can kill a disease, you can't kill bullying.
^ So because older people had more suffering we should ignore bullying nowadays
in my school there is no bullying
They should stop teachers having favs and targeting random people like plz
Whaaaaaaat? It's human nature. All that matters is you don't show bias in grading. Every teacher has favorites, just like you have favorites for friends. We have favorites in food, music, sports, colors and people students are no different. You can't help it.
I don't care I'm basically all my teachers favorites anyway
I know, I’ve had to put up with my Spanish teacher hating me and my friends to the point of picking us out of an entire talking class and threatening to go to the principle office when the entire class talks. She also calls us out for stupid s***. Example: my friend, let’s cwll him George; was writing his homework in his notebook and didn’t have his textbook out because he was busy jotting down that nights homework. One minute later, teacher “calls him out” in front of entire class for “slacking” and not having his book out.
Quick Handz That's called racism or stupity. You can't always use the rasict card, but it might be because of that.Don't jump to conclusions.
When you miss school
-3 fights
-School is let out early
-Free time every class
-Tupac comes back alive
Literally every time I missed last year there was a fight, an inside joke, a freak out, or a free class
Stephanie Van Keer
"Literally" not needed.
While most likely the case, you never know.
Don't forget the 5 tests and 6 sheets of homework.
How original..
Make a Path of What You *Want* To Learn ,
so they dont have to learn all the stupid things that they will never ever see in their future
no school would make school better

How do you make schools better? Elect WatchMojo for President

No.
There can only be one president tho...

I thought this was going to be a thing where I could make it more enjoyable for me.
Creating an easier way to learn would be much more enjoyable for you, unless you want to be constantly bored.
he means a method he CAN do without having to have any "help" making school better
Someone tell me why my school gives us 16 year old books but has 2 3D printers

+rayamert wow! Everybody look a racist vegan XD
How to make school better: make it 7 hour less
and I love stepping in dog poo.
If 7 hours of my school day would be taken.. I wouldn't have school
I go 8:45 to 3:15, 6 hours 30 minutes i get. #RipKidsLife #BanHomeWork Making petition to ban it i need 99999 signatures
+Connor Barrow 8:25 to 16:25 here, 8 hours of my day, ruined
I agree; I think homework is necessary, but not excessive amounts of it.
Agreed. I hate having my weekend ruined by a piece of flippin paper
+Da Dragon Durp you sir, are not alone ;-;
So I'm the smartest person alive, I get all the questions right, I finish before everyone else... but I happen to be mean and disrespectful and I don't do my homework because I don't need to, so I get a D or C in the class. wtf.
I can't agree more with #1
Hugo Martinez I cannot agree with 8 any less
Fire bad teachers then our school wouldn't have staff left
AlexplayzPVPx same
Top 10 ways to make school better.

With homework we basically work like 15 hours a day...
CONGRATULATIONS TEACHERS
Also, get the teachers to stop calling on students in class. Have them look at your work instead!
Cmon American schools, let’s allow breaks outside. Specifically high schools and middle school. K-5 we get recess but after that students are stuck inside sitting in hard chairs all day. The most breaks we get right now are walking to other classes.
school would be perfectly fine if there were no book reports or homework
there should be math homework but only 1-2 pages
That would be amazing if my math class worked that way.
That would be amazing if my math class worked like that.
As a person who has suffered through the hells of the Canadian public school system, I feel that harsher penalties should be put on bullying
Number 11: No homework 📚
Connor the minecrafter C there is no homework at my school
Connor the minecrafter C homework is good.
iSick are you like a second grader?
Brandon
Nope i live in europe and they have a better school system the only case of homework is when u didnt finish something in that particular class, so yea the Europe School System is sooo much better
iSick that's make sense why Einstein came from America

IN WHAT FUCKING UNIVERSE IS THIS LOGICAL????? SELF DEFENSE MOTHERFUCKERS. HOW YOU COULD PUNISH PEOPLE FOR SELF DEFENSE. WHATTT???!!!!!
A good begin would be to let teachers know how to use Kahoot, because it's an awesome way of learning with the whole class.
omg i love kahoot. everyone loves using it at my school
I'm an English teacher-and I use Kahoot quite a bit.
We used to use it every now and then but we're now switching to Quizlet Live (which is better imo)
It's fun and can help you learn some new words but honestly I think there are better ways to learn.
Do they still have chalk boards in America? Over here we have projectors with scencor pens.
we have those too, ive never even seen a chalkboard in school :)
In my school there are literally no chalk boards. It's either white boards or projectors.
Not really no. I'm sure some schools do though
i think everyone has those there about the same except you can go on the internet and use a computer on them my teacher uses them mosty like a chalk board.
they let us but they are stupid laptops.......so laggy
we get 0 breaks, only lunch, foods sucks anyways, we have 4 minutes to get to our next class and takes forever to get through the hall, almost no sunlight through the windows, each class is freezing that I'm even cold with a hoodie on, all I do is write essays all day and in math they put the smart kids which includes me in a class with the not so smart ones making it impossible to learn, each day I have to go home and teach myself the lesson again through lessons and tutorials online
8 hours a day, I skip lunch and have a headache all day
Have homework in each class everyday
I think that we have new synonymum to school ------) prison
My school is almost the same way...

I like learning, but the Gateway tests are a B!+[H.
School is Purgatory.
Darxis that sucks a lot, thankfully my school has heating at least
Teachers never gave my Homework cause our class made a special agreement with teachers...

The Shawoosh
