When a Ball Carrier gets tackled, its important to recognize that the player cannot "advance" twice after being tackled. This is called a Double Movement. But if the Ball Carrier can reach by extending or momentum carries them forward, that is allowed.
The Diving when scoring - Ball Carriers are normally running into the End Zone, best way to securely score, is diving. Otherwise, obvious downward pressure is standard.
The Scrum - yeah, thats more techinical.. Just glad you seem to be enjoying the RWC 👌💯
BACKING MY FIJIAN BROTHAAS ! 🇫🇯🤜🤛🇼🇸🫡💯
    edit:
Passing the ball has to be in a backwards motion - The ball has to leave the hands traveling backwards.
You can kick the ball forward - players gotta be behind the kicker to play for it.

You can kick it forwards but a pass with the hands has to be backwards

    - A tackle is counted when the knee is on the ground… it’s double movement if they move without releasing the ball to then pick the ball up again (so that they can continue their run) or they release/pass the ball to another player.
    - They do that dive to secure the try (touchdown). The try is counted if the player has put the ball down whilst having no body part touching the touch (the outside part - it’s the no play area). It also avoids people sweeping your legs into touch and discourages people from tackling you cause technically you’re in the air.
    - Like how the AB (NZ) have the haka the other pacific countries have their own war cry/dance. For Fiji it’s the Cibi.
Also thanks for the sharing on American football… never realised that it was called a push

For a tiny nation of only 1 million people, Fiji produces awesome rugby players that are big and fast. Tonga and Samoa also punch above their weight for tiny nations.
Players have taken to diving on the ground to score in-goal to avoid accidentally fumbling the ball as they place it on the ground. A fumble, where the ball is propelled forward onto the ground is called a knock-on and results in a scrum being awarded to the opposition.
In rugby the ball can only be passed laterally or backwards (never forwards). It may be kicked at any time. Any players on the kicker's team who chase a kicked ball to retrieve it must be behind the kicker at the moment the ball was kicked.
Remember - the ball is always in play until the referee stops it for infringements. Even if the ball-carrier is tackled, he can place the ball on the ground, get to his feet, pick it up again and run.

Played fullback for Bath Uni in UK in the 80s.
Yes, we go all out for tackles..
I am the last defence, number 15... i hv no choice.
Anyone behind u can receive your pass. But, u can only pass parallel or behind u.
If u kick forward, again only those behind u can go after that ball to catch/receive it.
A try(touchdown), is only valid if u touch the ball to the ground, BUT u must hv control over the ball... intentionally grounding the ball.
Momentum carrying u forward is allowed, n u can reach over the try line.
A tackler must hold down the tackled player, or the player can get up to continue his run.

the number 13 is the Fijian captain Waisea Nayacalevu, very consistent, used to play in the French club I support, Stade Francais, and is rated a bit less than Tuisova(14) and Radradra(11) but is an absolutely exceptional player and playmaker. I hope we'll see him in action tomorrow.

my bro the flying Fijians (the fiji rugby union team) are great and all but you should check them out in 7's thats where they truly shine and are the best in the world with back to back golds at the Olympics for it there pure speed to size ratio is unmatched making them a force to be reckoned with in 7's also if you like fiji rugby bro go over to singatoka on the coral coast they hold a yearly 7's tournament there called the coral coast 7's and its insane to watch especially the crowds there.

Also I've heard why do kickers not convert the try from out in front it's because you kick the ball imline from where the try was scored

if the other team kicks a ball and its close to the try lines or line 22 and the other team catches it from that lines and raise his hands out its called mark. that means he can restart the game from there n continue. also not allow to pass the ball infront you can pass the ball how ever u want it but not infront of you has to be only at the back or straight on the lines backwards...

once your down you can do 1 arm movement, lets say youre down (with a controlled ball ofc) a arm's length from the line, you can extend your arm and go over the line, rugby unlike NFL requires you to touch the ball down after the endzone (i know its not called endzone in rugby but just to be easier), NFL only requires that you cross the line be in the air or on the ground, so its like possible in rugby that you dive cross the endzone line and be pushed out of bounds before you can score

I only forgot to tape my ears once as a No4. Smart to go for an underdog team, GO THE CHERRY BLOSSOMS (or Fiji). I never understood why soccer is the world game when rugby and AFL is so much more exciting (even if MFC is seriously giving me the irrupts right now).

They changed the rules to stop Englands dominance, but they all retired after anyway. England haven't reached those heights again, we are still decent though (Currently having an unexpected 6 nations)
I love watching Fiji, and New Zealand too (I'm part welsh, so them too)

There is an incorrect assumption by newcomers to watching rugby that a career must be only a few years…..wrong! Any number of players who appeared in the 2015 World Cup are still at this one. Yes, passing forwards is only by kicking it forward, if your teammate overruns then you cannot pass it to him by hand. England have slipped from the very top echelon of rugby, but in a single match anything can happen.

The pass should be backwards, do not pass it to your team mate that is in ahead that will be a forward pass, and yes it should be kicked forward

Only players behind the person who kicked the ball are on side so they have the right to chase down the ball but if your players are on from of kicker can be put back onside by onside players running in front of you
